Don't buy the merchandise
Awful customer service on merchandise, recieved my order wrong but they won't resend or refund or help in any way. No point buying the overpriced official merchandise after this experience.

Sucks since they removed the stats
Used to be awesome and included everyone. You could run hard and try to win, or jog or walk aiming to complete the distance. Now it's just complete the course. They removed all the stats and demotivated many participants.
Such a great concept only to be utterly…
Such a great concept only to be utterly ruined by autocratic managers.
It is free but you will be bombarded with emails trying to sell you very overpriced stuff.
It’s also utterly awful that the management continues to allow men to run in the female category, spoiling the event for many women. Then they removed the stats (which many people loved) to try and hide the fact that men were claiming women’s course and age grade records. Then lied to everyone about why they had done it.
To be clear it’s the management that is the issue, the local event organisers, work hard and are great, but are being utterly let down by the very questionable direction the senior management team is now taking parkrun.
Parkrun hates women and girls
I have been attending parkrun for over 11 years but no longer volunteer or buy the merch. Since they refuse to change their gender self ID registration policy it’s clear they care nothing for fair sport for women and girls. Their attitude towards the people who want to bring back the stats is shameful.
They believe men can be women
Parkruin
This used to be a great public activity, until the organisers decided they would allow men to run in the women's category. Women's records are no longer their own, as faster men bump them down the rankings. When challenged about this unfairness, parkrun doubled down, and allowed their misogyny to overrule common sense. They're now losing volunteers, like me, in their droves, thanks to their arrogance and failure to engage with their supporters. I'm boycotting parkrun until the current leadership are replaced by people who know what a woman is; centre their participants and events over corporate jollies; restore our trust by strict fairness and sportsmanship; and they bring back the stats they removed to try to obscure their discrimination towards women.
Created by the people for the people…
Created by the people for the people and now taken over by money hungry CEOs who want to destroy everything that is great about parkrun.
Cannot reset password
I was trying to link my park run to strava app and when I tried to login and I I forgot my password. When I try reset I get an email with a link that I click on and it says an error and does not allow me reset it.
They don't care about their community
They don't care about their community. They got rid of the stats and have a toxic attitude toward competition and sport.

Used to be great until they scrapped the stats. both my sons love runnning them, my eldest runs both 5k and junior events, my youngest just the junior events.
My eldest son often comes first at junior events, while his wee brother is usually one of the last to finish, both get their on type of enjoyment at opposite ends of the finishers, but they both loved comparing their stats with friends and trying to better themelves each time they took part.
Bring back the stats, they benefit people of all abilities
bring back the statistics at parkrun
As a long time parkrunner who has recommended parkrun to countless people I can no longer give it a good rating. I have volunteered over 200 times, been an ambassador and helped set up new parkruns. Now though all the personal statistics I had built up over the years has been removed for no reason by parkrun. There is a campaign signed by 27000 people to reinstate these statistics but it appears parkrun will not even consider this. As a 73 year old ex marathon runner I used these statistics to keep me motivated in the 70-74 age group. Now I have no motivation. I have stopped parkrunning and given away any merchandise I bought over the years. Shameful way to treat long time participants.
A once great organisation now in decline.
This organisation now says that if people quit then hundreds will take their place, we make the rules and obey or go! I completed 720 parkruns and also volunteered on hundreds of occasions, I have now stopped taking part altogether due to very poor management. They are only interested in selling things and not the feelings of those taking part especially the females.
Not for non athletes
This is a great idea in theory but not in reality I'm afraid. Unless your a RUNNER or to be quite honest, an athlete don't bother. . Volunteers look with disbelief when they realise your a participant just because your walking therefore way behind . By the time I personally complete the 5k (about 1 hr) every Marshall has up sticks and gone . Not even a tail walker!. Nothing!. Don't bother with ' parkrun" if you cannot run . The clue is in the name really.
Definitely not for new runners or…
Definitely not for new runners or general public wanting to walk and get fit. No one walks it’s just a flat out race from the off and you find yourself on your own within 5 minutes. Very disappointed. I will say the volunteers were very good and supportive. So not what I expected, won’t be going again I’ll just stick to jogging on my own.
Absolute morons running parkrun
Absolute morons running parkrun , non for.profit but still racking in salarys of 80k per year . They have ruined the results pages and segregated peole in the so called making everyone inclusive . Russ Jefferys need to be removed and someone capable of doing the job properly
Brilliant overall
Brilliant free 5k run every Saturday 9am. Great that people volunteer every weekend. Only downside not the friendliness for new runners and a bit clickey
