As a Liverpudlian, I think Liverpool is such a kind friendly helpful mix of people. Until I got 2 JLA, going through security no 1 was smiling or welcoming. Had to get my case checked by sum horrible... See more

Not as good as they like to think they are
Liverpool airport does well because it’s small. And frankly, that’s where the advantages end.
Security staff were surly. Shouting in a sarcastic tone to the couple in front of me. I thought Security was supposed to be the strong point against Manchester? And still charging for liquids bags, get with the times guys!
Once past security, it’s scruffy, crowded, lack of seating, dusty, the portacabin gates are falling apart. They are a bottleneck and the gate numbering was confusing people.
On arrivals, I’ve seen more welcoming back alleys compared to this airport. Dirty, dark and dank queueing to get into passport control. No egates?
This airport is supposedly the ‘best in the UK’? I think someone’s living in dream land.

Free drop of point was 40 mins now 20 not possible to walk to airport and back in 20 mins
Although the staff are great at JL
Although the staff are great at JL, the airport itself and facilities offered are not.
No train service to connect to the city is a big oversight & needs to be addressed.
The food & drink on sale is extremely poor & expensive. £8.99 for a tasteless Upper Crust baguette anyone?
Passport control was awful. It took an hour from leaving the plane to get through. Only half the desks open and no automatic gates.
Sort it out John Lennon Airport, the people of the North West deserve better.

Chaos at security I waited 30 minutes just to get my bag through security. Tray with peoples belongings were piled up with no staff members moving them along. There appeared to be shortage of staff. Passengers were getting frustrated by the unnecessary waiting time. Liverpool john Lennon Airport has really dropped its standards. Ive had good experiences in the past at LJLA so I was very disappointed.

A recent visit I found that my son and I, who both disabled, were treated with respect. In fact my son was scared to go through the scanner. The staff pulled him to one side, after I alerted them, to manually pat him down but wouldn’t touch him until he said ok. They allowed me to stand next to him and gently hold him for reassurance. They very gently patted him down until they saw he was becoming uncomfortable then stopped. Excellent perception from them with someone who clearly doesn’t like being touched
Scruffy inside and on the outside
Scruffy inside and on the outside. In need of some serious TLC. The only plus is you can park opposite the terminal. Why no new modern passport control ?
😕
One hour long queue at passport control
It took me over an hour to get through passport control this morning.
No apologies from staff.
I think staffing levels should be adjusted better.
I decided to start booking flights from…
I decided to start booking flights from Liverpool as Manchester had become such an unpleasant experience. On the whole I find Liverpool a much better airport,I use special assistance which has been friendly and efficient. This year I took my mobility scooter and was met at my taxi to be helped into the airport, sadly I was then left to myself,I managed to get myself to check in by dragging my case after my scooter.Check in was good then I moved onto security which I had to navigate myself until the security people helped me through.Altogether much more difficult than when I use a wheelchair.
I was on an early flight so looked forward to a nice breakfast, one thing that Manchester offers in abundance. No where seemed to offer table service so I settled for a bar where food orders had to be queued for,so I had to leave my scooter and use my walking sticks to queue for some time, the alternative was to order by QR code which I don't have.Ordered tea and toast as wasn't prepared to pay ridiculous price for veggie breakfast.Rest of time was without incedent, boarded on time but were told there would be a delay leaving. On arriving back there was a delay getting the ambulift as it was at another plane. Then to the tiny luggage claim where we waited well over an hour for bags.I had to make my way over to the taxi pick up where my driver said I had to pay an extra £12 as he had to wait for me.
All in all I prefer using Liverpool but I hope on my next forthcoming trip I am given a little more help, and I won't be using the chaotic bar/resteraunts.
Total waste of time
Total waste of time. Had no assistance at all. Pre booked weeks in advance. A disgrace. Shoddy at best

Person that dropped me off Fined £100
Absolutely disgusting ,
Should be ashamed of themselves but won’t be!
Meet and greet Liverpool
Meet and greet Liverpool. Since May, I am waiting for response with photo evidence on my vehicle condition upon arrival, on which this service claim to have monitoring camera system. Suspicion of scratch damage to body paint. No feedback till this day. Queries being closed and follow up emails generates new claim reference numbers. Parking not able to provide evidences, which suspects no record of the vehicle conditions. I don’t recommend.
This is my home airport and I hate it
This is my home airport and I hate it - the traffic controls and parking options are an absolute scam.
Terrible, trying to make revenue and dressing it up as safety. I always choose to drive to Manchester since Liverpool Airport stole £100 from me with their lying and manipulation of video 'evidence'.
Disgrace to the city

If you try and drop people off at airport with disabilities problems forget it they are very discriminating towards disabled persons
Avoid at all costs
By far the worse airport I have ever few from avoid at all costs there was not seating available because it was that busy, airport can not take the capacity of the people coming through it, no where to get food because the seating where to busy very disappointing and unhappy

Luggage Handling Too slow No one to speak to for an update on when you will get your luggage. We arrived at 3.03am. After an hour and a quarter we took to banging on the doors at the rear of the luggage hall to get attention. The luggage handlers were seen smiling at us through the windows in the door. Then they started the conveyor and delivered our luggage. There were people with small children kept waiting. We have been kept waiting on two separate occasions for over an hour by luggage handlers at this airport.

special assistance at liverpool airport…
special assistance at liverpool airport was brilliant departure and return flights.the people were so friendly and helpful. They even let us take the wheelchair out to the long stay parking and said not to worry about returning it as the staff pick them up.cannot praise them enough.
How much
How much? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. You can stick 'The kissing gate' (£11.19 for a glass of Pinot!) and 'Brew tap' (Glen Affric brewery-£6.99 for a can!) up yer hoop. This is my local airport, but it's Manchester for us again in future.
Lack of concern/ care
My wife, a Type 1 Diabetic, went to JL Airport for a 7am Easy Jet flight to Jersey. She arrived around 5am on wed 26th June to find that the 7am flight was cancelled. However, she and her retired nursing colleagues were booked in for the 1.15pm flight that day. EZY527.
My wife had insulin pump and sensor equipment that couldn’t go through the X-ray machine and with it a letter from her Diabetic nurse to say this.
It would appear that at some stage in security she went through the check in leaving this equipment and letter behind. This was only realised upon arrival in Jersey.
She had been in the Airport for 8 hours after this happened, waiting for her 1.15pm flight, yet no one at security raised this as a medical issue, that needed raising over the tannoy. (Her full name was in the letter they had) She could then have been reunited with her equipment. Surely this could have been easily done. The airport was almost empty at 5am, so pressure of work couldn’t have been an issue.
We raise this as feedback, so that current slack practices could be reviewed.
I collected the equipment and letter the day after from Victoria at Airport lost property, who was extremely efficient and helpful.
