Today (08/05)
Today (08/05), there were 11 flights due to depart within 30 minutes, yet the security queues were absolutely horrendous. I spent 1.5 hours queuing and ended up missing my flight.
It was clear that not all security desks were open, and the airport appeared to be severely short-staffed. I feel sorry for everyone else who also missed their flights because the airport was clearly unprepared to handle that number of passengers.
This level of organisation is unacceptable and caused unnecessary stress, delays, and financial loss for many travellers.
Researched car park location
Researched car park location, used Sat Nav, watched Youtube video and still ended-up in the wrong car park - Jet2 Twilight staff, who very good, gave me a barcode ticket to leave the car park free of charge. Couldn't get out so I pressed the button for assistance. Your in the wrong car park I was told, cost me £10.00 for twenty minutes - Happening all the time said the assistant - Twilight car park should be distinct and labelled as such - Once I'd paid my £10.00, I headed-off to find where I should have parked. Found the location and briefly stopped, now wondering if I'm going to be fined a £100 for stopping briefly? - What a horrible, frustrating and expensive experience. I won't use twilight drop-off again
Awful ethos to delivering service
Awful ethos to delivering customer service - impossible to speak to an individual about a distressing situation - pay a premium rate on their telephone number to listen to a recording - We have lost property that we urgently need to establish if it has been handed in (it's not the airports fault it was lost) but we just need to establish if it is recovered before driving 90 miles to approach staff at the lost property desk (who presumably are too busy dealing with lost property to be able to take a call

I have just returned from dropping off at Liverpool airport. Tried to use drop zone 2 -- supposedly free for 20 mins. When you drive in to drop zone 2 -- there are signs every 5 yards stating 'If you stop or drop passengers off, you will be fined £100!!' What a major rip off.
Liverpool was great now Manchester is better
Liverpool was our favourite of the North West airports, much friendlier than others, but in recent years, this has changed. The first issue is the cost of parking, which is now really expensive and has very limited choices. The security has no fixed rules, they made me buy some new liquid bags as ours had a small transparent logo on them, we had used them before at Liverpool and Manchester with no issues and ironically a family at the security next to ours had the exact same plastic bags and they were let through without any issues, when we questioned why, we were just to advised to not question them and do as we were told.
Absolute car crash of a place
Absolute car crash of a place, staff haven’t got a clue, orders going to wrong tables everywhere, Team Leader Leanne very abusive and threatening after being called out for taking food to the wrong table leaving it, then collecting it and giving it to another customer after previous table had handled it, she denied that even happened, she totally lost her head
What an absolute clownshow
What an absolute clownshow. I have flown into some third world airports way better than this. Flew back from Malta. Plane parked miles away. No organisation on the tarmac so buses delayed. Had to walk through a derelict entrance, no automation at border control, all UK citizens in a long queue and then 2 nonUK passport holders waltzed to the front of the queue and had a lovely laugh and joke with the border officer, freezing cold baggage hall took ages to startwhile I watched 6 handling agents walk right past us. All the time, the taxi we booked for a very reasonable 1 hour after landing is clocking up extra time. What an awful advert for our city.
Overall view
On arrival parking was good, security had long queues and staff were unfriendly and very rude, the areas and toilets were clean, and staff in the shops were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately security staff a big let down, some customer service training would not go a miss.
Dire, poor organisation
Dire, I'm sure they have reduced staff to compensate for fuel costs. Long long queues. Slow and frustrating
Without doubt the most expensive. W.H smith machine rejects money. No one to assist you. They do enjoy chatting amongst themselves though.
Parking you get directed to the wrong area. It was only by chance we used Smart Parking before
Now sat waiting in this waste of a sp
Security experience
Going through security my husband is severely death and one ov your employees was very abrupt when checking our hand luggage, telling my husband take your hands away from the bag, which was our hand luggage, has a face representing Liverpool airport your employees need to put a smile on her faces and look as if they are injoying there job role, if they don’t want to represent Liverpool airport why don’t they go and get another job
Security staff were very rude
Security staff were very rude, the facilities were OK but security made my holiday a bad experience.

had a lovely trip to Liverpool with my husband but after coming to the airport to go home , I will definitely not be returning the staff on duty at security was rude, he took my bag aside and very formally asked me to unzip it and do not put your hands inside the bag , which I did then he removed a jar of body cream 125ml and said is this yours, He took it , I asked him ,was it not liquids , that this was cream. He said same thing . I was annoyed as I had literally bought it just before we left for airport still had receipt 18 euros . I went to take my bag and he literally snatched it back and said quite rudely I am not finished . Then handed it back and said now you can go . a little bit of a power trip. What was an enjoyable trip turned into all I could take about to anyone who asked me how did I enjoy liverpool . I really think this was excessive and to take it .

Traveled from Liverpool with family if 9. Easy checkin with jet2. I had assisted travel for myself, very efficient. Will always choose Liverpool over Manchester anyway. All round great experience
Car badge Robbed
Returned back from a weekend away to damage to the car. Someone has stolen the badge off the rear of the car. The car was only in the car park for 48 hours.
Standard response claiming nothing took place whilst the car was parked eventhough there's proof the badge was there leaving my home the morning of and marks where the badge has been forced off

Was charged £25 for staying 22+ minutes.
Terrible parking charges!
…Airport a Shambles
A disgrace of an Airport where do I start. Poor facilities, ignorant staff especially so called Security. How do they get jobs. A vending machine now for WH Smith what happened to service it doesn't exist at John Lennon Airport.
First time flying from and to Liverpool…
First time flying from and to Liverpool airport and it won’t be the last. So quick and all staff very helpful. I had a limp because my foot hurt and on 3 occasions staff stopped me asking if I needed assistance.
Was charged £25 for a 45 minute stay
Was charged £25 for a 45 minute stay . The flight was delayed slightly . Daylight robbery . Liverpool airport should be ashamed of themselves !
Rip off at John Lennon Airport Bar
Checked in like a dream with the brilliant Jet2!
My mate went to get a lager and a lager top at a cost of £16.80 which is extortionate, but we expected that at an airport where you can’t go anywhere else.My round I went to the bar and said 2 lagers to the same girl and as she poured the 2nd one I said can you make that one a top for my mate,it came to £20.47 for the same round. I said to the girl how come you’ve charged me so much? She said she had to charge me £3.67 for a dash of lemonade at the top and couldnt change it! Absolutely ridiculous,so it became over £10 a pint!
Not to mention £6 for a drop off and £6 for pick up outside!
Jet2 were the only positive thing about the Liverpool Airport experience
Not Disabled Friendly
It is evident that 'free' blue badge drop off is only advertised to meet disability laws. The system for claiming a refund gets more protracted and difficult every time we travel. I am required to supply more and more proof. This time 2 copies of blue badge and 2 copies of boarding passes (which of course are no longer on your phone once you return) and still no refund over 4 weeks later. Clearly the system is designed to make you give up trying.
