Not sure when PSA stopped offering free shipping, but it was a mistake. There is free shipping on select items but broadly you will be paying for full shipping costs. This is not competitive with other distributors. I will be ordering general items like ammo and accessories and non PSA firearms from Midway from now on as they have a "free shipping on $100+ orders" policy.
I have ordered a number of things from Palmetto, but 2 of the last 3 cannot get past the "processing" stage. I have tried to contact them via email and they give me a generic non-answer. Just sent another email today. Even their contact page is rude. If I select the wrong drop down box they won't read my email. If they do read it, it will take 48 hours or more for a response. There are so many places to order guns and parts from, you would think they would do better on their customer service.
PSA's online security is out of control. I can no longer log into my account because of the CAPTCHA phrases. Something has changed that makes it impossible to log in. I have to do the CAPTCHA phrases twice with emails in between and a text. This is beyond ridiculous when it takes this long and god forbid you miss one phrase and have to start over. I give up. They have now secured the account FROM THE ACCOUNT HOLDER!!! I have purchased almost $4000 of product in the last year and now I can't even log in to get an update on my last order. It will be my last order.
Terrible customer service. Received defective magazines and they were just under 7 days past their 30 day return window and they refused to exchange for something else.
If you are considering this company or firearm RUN THE OTHER WAY!!!!! Palmetto State Armory is a joke, most sensitive firearm on the market. I bought an AKV- 9 and have had nothing but issue after issue not only with the firearm but with the company itself and its representatives. After the very first time shooting, the guns firing pin got jammed and had to send back to manufacture for repair. Got it back and it was NOT fixed. Going back and forth with customer service. James on the front lines answering customer service calls is rude and has no customer service skills to speak of.

Terrible delivery process. In the age of same day delivery or next day delivery it's inexcusable for PSA deliveries to take 7+ days. I have ordered two items from PSA that were delivered to my house. One took over 10 days the other over 7 days. Both were not delivered as stated. Need to have a <3 day delivery

Yes, they have nice pricing - but they just don't care to fix their systems and their "unsubscribe" function for their spam is a joke - they say that they would need to send you another email, so you can confirm that you don't want their spam anymore.... after clicking on the "unsubscribe" link in one of their spam email. Most idiotic, and probably not following legal requirements.
The other thing that is even being complained in their own forums about is that credit cards regularly are not being accepted, payments don't process and there is no way to get their attention (well, I guess they just don't care). Poorly run business.
Palmetto advertised a Colt .357 King Cobra for $749. The add then stated the final cost would be $649 after rebate from Colt. After receiving the revolver attempted to claim rebate from Colt. Colt claims the rebate did not apply to this gun. They state the Palmetto add was false. Palmetto lied, false advertising. I will not purchase another gun, no matter how good the price, from this shister!!

I decided to use this site for the first time. The shipping could have been better for sure but they made a atrong effort to follow up, more than I was expecting. They reached out to me after messaging over the weekend and handled the issue, while not perfect initially they definitely made a very strong effort to address it quickly.

Man I have to give credit where credit is due. Man PSA rocks! I have ordered many many items from them to this day. All I have to say is their customer service rocks. I had a round go off in my psa Jakl(no fault to PSA) and the fixed and warranted it. This is what great customer service is. I definitely will continue to buy PSA products! Thanks for what yall do!

They are scammers and liars. I have made a 1 star review 3 times on a magazine that they sell. It is defective and does not hold the ammo. I get the email to verify the review. I verify the review and guess what. They refuse to post the review. All the review states is the magazine is defective and once you get half capacity the bullets fall out. Yet they refuse to post it. Making it look like the product has only high ratings. Well if they do it for this item, what else on their site do they alter the ratings on. I have screen shots of the product review showing no 1 star ratings and the emails confirming the reviews. I checked the magazine today. There is no 1 star review on the magazine!

Poor quality products. Barrel nuts are super cheaply made and very thin walled. Customer service is a nightmare, warranty is still undetermined on a Sabre upper barrel nut. They will not just sell you a barrel nut, even with product sku and order number.
As of now, I'd suggest just saving up a tad bit and buying a BCM complete upper. BCM, SLR, Cross Machine Tool, LMT, Noveske, LWRCI, Primary Weapon Systems, Centurion, Geissele, Sons Of Liberty Gun Works, Vseven Weapon Systems, Vltor, Aero, etc have all been much easier companies to deal with, and gotten me replacement parts without hassle.
I'd skip a company that I still focused on popping out 1000-2000 AR's a day for profit versus helping out there customers.

Bought an AK safety for a customer to install a FRT trigger. Sent the first one without finish on it. It was raw steel. Sent it back and got a replacement, with the exact same problem so there no quality control in place. Figured it as pointless to try again and keep the customer waiting. Now customer is paying me (which he shouldn't have to) to Cerakote the safety so it won't look like crap on a black rifle.

Read carefully and decide if PSA is where you want to buy your firearms before ordering from them.
I am a long time customer of Palmetto State Armory. I've spent a lot of money on their website and recommended countless friends who have done the same.
Until now I have always been satisfied with them and the purchases I have made.
I purchased a Beretta 92XI Squalo from PSA which was advertised and sold as new. Total cost $930.
The gun comes with 3 custom magazines from the manufacturer built of standard included mec gar magazines with toni systems extenders. To put together one of these magazines on your own is about $110 and there are really no other options that are compatible, nor are the parts readily available at this time.
Upon opening the case there was an obvious smell of gunpowder and all 3 magazines were extremely dirty, scratched, worn, with gouges in the metal extenders and the springs were extremely loose. There was no manual, no documentation and no warranty card included..Just a nice shiny PSA sticker.
I provided photos and email to PSA however they show no interest in taking any responsibility whatsoever for the situation.
Customer Service has told me 3 times that this is a "warranty" issue and I must contact Beretta and take it up with them. Then they try to say its a third party issue! Come on. It couldn't be made any clearer that the PSA Customer Service Policy is that the customer is always wrong!
Here's a section of the PSA copy and paste response:
"Palmetto State Armory does not warranty third party products, and ships these products in the same condition and packaging as they are received from the manufacturer."
How is it possible that a dealer sending out a filthy used, damaged product with after advertising it as new is a manufacturers warranty issue? Beretta will laugh at me if I attempt to file a warranty claim.
Kind of like buying a brand new car with a smashed windshield and the dealer tells you its not their problem...call the factory..all we did was sell it to you!! Great customer care PSA!!
Then they blame me saying I did not inspect the firearm and offer a $50 "Blemish" store credit.
Obviously they knew it was a "Blemish" item all along.
Never seen anything like this in any line of business. Zero accountability from PSA. Shameful excuse for customer service.
The issue of providing damaged, used magazines with the gun is bad in an of itself however, the complete insistant refusal to accept any responsibility and negligently push the problem on the customer and the manufacturer is a disgrace.
There are many other excellent companies out there that do not pull this type of nonsense with customers. I've used numerous reputable online e firearms companies and never experienced this low level of service.
Look around at other negative reviews and you will read similar descriptions of PSA's ignorant stance towards servicing customers after the sale is complete.
Calling this pathetic would be a compliment.
The most basic principle of a sale is providing the item that a customer pays for..not for PSA.
I've given PSA 4 chances to make at least a reasonable effort to correct this problem. The responses repeatedly lie and continue to refer to this as a "warranty" issue.
This situation should be a simple fix involving basic customer service principles however PSA has no interest in making the slightest effort to correct the issue.
Sadly it is obvious that PSA has grown to a point where they clearly dont care if they lose the average day to day customer. Not the type of operation that deserves my business.
Be an informed consumer and don't be the next one to fall victim to this garbage.
Goodbye PSA...you just lost a good customer and many others that I know who have together spent tens of thousands of dollars through your company who doesn't give a damn about its customers or sales ethics. Hopefully this review will help other potential customers gain some insight into what to expect from PSA should they have a problem with a purchase and make a smart decision on where to shop before spending their hard earned money.
Very Disappointing.
Then they responded to my review on another platform and offered assistance. No surprise they didn't bother to respond to the email that they requested that I send to them. Nice of them to step up and prove that they earned the bad review.
Update..Just read the PSA response. As stated in this review, whatever is wrong with anything they sell you is not PSA's responsibility..it is the manufacturer. They just send you what the manufacturer sends them..they are not responsible. It's on the customer. All they can offer is a $50 "blemish" store credit to use on the site to take your chances on the next item. Take what they send you and like it. Would this be acceptable customer service from any company?

Tried to buy an upper from these clowns and they sent me an email saying part of my order was non-compliant even though it's perfectly legal in my state. When I replied to their email asking them to explain, they refused to respond. Several emails went unanswered. Do not recommend this business.

Delivered Feb 24. Received the wrong optic plate
(RMR instead of Doctor footprint). Contacted PSA support the same day. It's now been 10 days and my replacement plate hasn't shipped. PSA ships orders next day but hasn't corrected their mistake yet. I now have to buy the correct plate myself. They will rush your order out but will drag there feet when they make a mistake

Disgusting spammers. I tried to unsubscribe they just send more spam. Repeated emails sent to their complaints email has not stopped it. I never even signed up to receive their messages - these are completely unsolicited. Avoid dealing with them.

UPDATE 2 March 03, 2026 @5:00pm:Still no delivery and no better service from the customer service people in Columbis SC. However What I have determined from one person I talked to is that when something is ordered on line the shipping charge and package insurance is added on to the invoice, this is common for all on line vendors. the shipping cost is the amount for fedex or ups, so far all good, BUT when you have the item sent to one of PSA's retail stores the package is not shipped by the normal carrier methods. PSA has decided to deliver it there self via a PSA truck. That keeps them from paying fedex or ups any shipping which you have already paid for, this is more and more sounding like a SCAM on shipping cost. In addition I am sure each PSA retail store get a different amount of deliveries on an as needed basis. Also yesterday customer service advised the delivery time could be up to 15 days, that number has increased from the 10 day delivery time I was advised of a few days ago. They may just make up a number as they feel like it, who knows. But with this tid bit of information, refrain from having anything shipped to a PSA retail store, send it where they will be forced to ship via the shipping pros of fedex or ups, remember your paying for it either way. I would BEWARE of ordering anything at this time, till they can get their s**t together, they are no where close to that as of this writing. As this is going it would not surprise me if they hadn't slowed my package down due to my complaining to them.
UPDATE 03-02-2026@04:08pm: just got gaslighted by customer service again, no information as available(we all know better than that) and was told no supervisor was available. I am sure there's supervisors available. It looks like I may need to cancel the transition thru my cc company. I dont plan to do any additional business with Palmetto State Armory after this issue is resolved. as their not the only company to do business with. for the current time others need to BEWARE of ordering from them.
I have done business with PSA for several years, whatever i order on line that needs ffl paper work i have sent to my local PSA store, the guys and gals at the local store are excellent, knowledgeable, friendly and such. PSA's shipping has never been very efficient, or in a timely manner, however its getting worse as time goes on, and the customer service when you call Columbia SC to inquire is worse. I am currently sitting on an order waiting for delivery to my local store for 2 weeks with no communication, or updates, there is no excuse for this time line, and no way to run a business. I have ordered from other gun shops across the lower 48 and the normal shipping to delivery is normally 3 to 4 days(via fFedex or UPS) to the ffl I use to do those transfers. I have no option but to move PSA to the bottom of my list for ordering, as the other sites I use all have about the same things with just as good of price. I like to do business locally but I am just wore out with PSA's shipping, and getting the "run around" when i call Columbia SC to inquire on status, but i seriously doubt they care.
I placed an order for ammunition totaling $230.22, $100 of it paid with a gift card and the rest on my debit card. On 11/14/25, I received an email with the subject “Order Pending Refund” stating that a refund had been requested and would be issued in up to three business days. I had to call to find out why my order was being canceled, and that’s when I was told that their fraud department had canceled it. My funds were taken from my bank account the same day.
Over the next three months, I repeatedly called to address both the gift card and debit card refunds, but I could not get ahold of a supervisor. I was placed on multiple call-back lists and never received a return call. On 2/18/26 (three months after my card and gift card were charged), they finally “resent” a gift card, but it was actually the original gift card code showing a $0 balance. I had to call back the same day to get a corrected gift card balance.
I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint regarding the missing funds. In their first response, the company only addressed the gift card issue and did not mention the debit card refund. After I rejected that response, their second BBB response stated that I had already been issued a full refund to my debit card. However, in reality, only a partial refund of $90.05 had been initiated on 2/23/26 — the same day they emailed me from a do-not-reply address stating they were initiating the refund and told the BBB that my full refund had already been issued. I had to call back to try to figure out why it was not the full amount, and I still could not reach a supervisor. My bank has not yet confirmed receiving the partial refund.
Based on this experience, I would not recommend giving them your business.
