Very disappointing experience – I would not recommend Delta Force for a children’s birthday party
We held my son’s birthday party at Delta Force Maidenhead on Saturday 5th September at 2pm for 12 boys. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing and far below what we expected.
When we arrived, there were no clear directions and we had to wait around 30 minutes before anyone attended to us. When making the booking, I had specifically been told that a dedicated host would be waiting for our group, but this was not the case.
I was then asked to go to the office window, collect approximately 300 paintballs and distribute them to the children myself.
The biggest issue occurred during the first round. The boys were apparently told by the host that they would have an opportunity to refill their magazines before the second round and that there would be enough paintballs for all three rounds. Some of the boys even asked whether this was free and were told yes, its free do not worry about it.
Naturally, the children relied on what the staff member told them and used their paintballs accordingly. However, when they returned from the first round, most of the boys did not have enough paintballs for the following round. Nobody had clearly explained to them that the 300 paintballs provided needed to last for all three rounds.
I find this particularly disappointing because these were young children simply following instructions from the staff. Whatever the reason for the misunderstanding, the communication should have been much clearer.
There was also a significant issue with the duration of the party. We booked the party from 2pm to 5pm, but the boys were effectively finished with the main activity by around 3:30pm. I had arranged for parents to collect the children at 5:45pm, which meant I was left responsible for keeping 12 boys entertained for more than two hours after the main activity had finished.
We have organised many children's birthday parties at different venues, and unfortunately this was one of the poorest experiences we have had.
I decided not to immediately leave a negative review because I wanted to give Delta Force the opportunity to investigate the matter properly. I emailed head office on 6th September, explained everything that had happened and requested an explanation. I also followed up by telephone. Unfortunately, despite this, nearly a month today I have still not received a response to my original complaint.
What concerns me most is the information given to the children regarding the paintballs. I would expect staff to communicate clearly with children and ensure they understand the rules and limitations of their package. If there was a misunderstanding or a training issue, I would have expected management to investigate it and provide an explanation.
Three of the boys' parents have since asked me about the venue because they were considering booking birthday parties there themselves. I have deliberately held back from recommending it because I wanted to give the company an opportunity to address my concerns first.
Unfortunately, the lack of a response has added to my disappointment.
I hope Delta Force takes this feedback seriously and reviews its staff training, communication and party management procedures. Parents booking a children's birthday party should be able to expect clear communication, proper supervision and an experience that matches what they have paid for.
Based on our experience, I would not recommend Delta Force for a children's birthday party.

It was brilliant. Affordable even the upgrades depending on individual preferences. All the gear from guns and protective clothing was of good quality and clean. The venue was easy to access and drive to. Staff friendly, helpful and pleasant. The 3 games were good and very competitive. We booked the afternoon which was 2pm slot. Overall was fun. We were 8 friends.

Just got back from my son’s 11th birthday party with the mini package for 10 children. I can’t praise the staff and whole experience enough. It was organised, welcoming, well explained, friendly and lots of fun. Particular praise to the two staff who set the children up with all they needed, supervised them around the games, looked out for them and gave it just the right amount of structure and challenge. The kids were buzzing and I would recommend the mini package for the age of 10/11 year olds. Great fun- thank you!

Honestly the worst company I have ever delta with. Numerous promises of phone calls and recieve absolutely nothing. Horrific management of my booking, promised items over the phone which I've paid for and have this in writing through email. Yet when at the site told no, sent multiple complaint emails now and still nothing, no acknowledgement. Had to call myself to make sure they recieved them. Now having to to go through trading standards and paintball association regarding this terrible company.

We had an excellent day. The staff where all friendly and helpful.

Booked for 7 for a 12th birthday party. Maidenhead Delta Force. When only 6 were able to attend, we were told we could not have the extra paintballs which we had paid for for the 7th person. It was not appropriate to put a group of 11 and 12 year olds into a game with much older, more experienced, better equipped men who had paid for much more ammunition. Enforcement of the game rules by marshals seemed non existent, resulting in behaviour such as shooting many times at very short range resulting in broken skin and welts. It was at this point suggested that we should have booked a softer version however this was not offered or suggested at the time of booking. Sharp practices, inadequate health and safety and no responsible person on site to address these issues. Unfortunately after this experience the kids were not up for trying another game without the adults so that was £180 down the drain. I have sympathy for the two who were running the site, they did their best under the limited freedom they apparently had from absent management. However it was fundamentally an unsuitable and somewhat unsafe session for a kids birthday party, which was the basis on which the booking was made. Hope this review helps someone avoid a similar experience.

It was really fun and our marshal sam was really kind and helpful 10/10 guy i made a mistake picking up old paintball and he helped me get rid of the bad ones

I had an experience for 4 for a birthday, and was looking forward to it but the whole experience was soured by poor sportsmanship which was not punished by the marshalls - the marshals were repeatedly informed about the members of the other team not calling their hits, which ruins the game for everyone who has paid.
Not to mention, be prepared to spend a lot of money on the day - you are unable to bring your own paintballs to the center, which is fine, but the paintballd are very expensive to buy there. £139 for 2000 paintballs (which you will go through very quickly, even being conservative)

Amazing co-operation via email and amazing customer service replying to my request straight away. I am running a fundraiser for Alzheimer's Society and wanted to use a paintball experience as a raffle prize and they replied straight away offering an experience as a prize. Definitely recommend getting in touch with if you are doing something similar.

Our charity received free paintball tickets from the Paintball Booking Office, and the process was smooth and well‑organised. The team clearly cares about supporting fundraising groups and offered practical ways to maximise the value of the vouchers. The tickets are perfect for prizes, sponsor thank‑yous, or volunteer rewards. Excellent service and a great initiative for charities.

Thank you so much for donating a charity voucher to my son’s quiz night. He is raising money to fund his Peru expedition with Camps international and delta force we’re very forthcoming with a voucher for paint balling. He is very grateful.

The actual experience of paintball was nice, but we were misled to pay 170 pounds more for our group then what was agreed upon. They claim it was a misunderstanding between the guy at the desk and us. We clarified with them when there the agreed upon price that was the deal, and the guy said 'yes, this is the deal', but in the end we were overcharged in what we thought was a deposit that we now won't get back. When we complained, they said 'sorry, that's just not how it works, they must have up-priced you,' and refused to do nothing about it. Very frustrating as we don't have tons of extra cash, and the mistake was on their end, not ours.

Time here was a blast. Came here for a birthday party. The Marshals, Sam and Ffion were great fun adding multiple solo games for our group of 5. Best part about the entire experience was getting to mag dump the birthday boy while he was defenceless!

The pricing table is a mess.
The discrepancy in packages is enormous.
You are told one thing over the phone and another in person.
Makes what was meant to be a nice moment, a very frustrating experience.
Certainly the ones reviewing it with more than one star were not the ones paying for the experience.
We were sold 12 tickets in advance in a stand that were meant to be entrance, and gear, but you get that for a cheaper price when registering anyway. Bottom line, be prepared to spend way way way more than budget initially and the "I don't care attitude" by the staff is the cherry on top.
My son's birthday would be here, not anymore.
