PSYCHOPATH conductor MICHAEL B.

The TGV INOUI No. 9580 from Frankfurt to Lyon on Oct 17 was late so I wanted to ask the conductor if I will be able to catch my connecting train. He ignored my 'Pardon' first and when I said 'Monsieur' he was like a complete PSYCHOPATH (MICHAEL B.) aggressively staring at me and and yelling why I didn't say 'hello'. I didn't understand what he wanted and he kept yelling 'hello, hello.. in France you have to say hello' and staring like the devil while coming very close to my face. This is the most creepy experience I ever had in my life and if I was in Germany I would have called the police. SNCF should immediately remove this dangerous person and put him in a mental clinic. All the other guests where also shocked. NEVER, NEVER again SNCF!!!

Unfair pet fare policy

I wanted to buy a ticket for me and my dog and was shocked to find out that while my fare is 1,20 Euro, the ticket price for the dog is 7 Euros! It is a 4 minute ride in a regional train. How is this possible? It's absurd!

SNCF

SNCF, or the company the less efficient in this country, when it’s not about strike or being late (which happens a LOT), their customer service is completely useless !!!

I’m French, I know what I’m talking about, AVOID AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE !

No english information or announcements. Personel on train couldn't english either.

Taking the Sunday 13 August 2023 at 09:02 train from Marne La Vallee Chessy to Rennes. First class tickets

We encountered that all information on the station in Marne La Valleee was in French, where we needed help. No personel could help us and we almost boarded the wrong train coach, since one personel, was tired of us and just said this one this one. However a random person helped us in the right direction, so we had to run to the other end of the long train and get on. We just made the train.

In the train all annoucements were again in French and when I asked the ticket inspectors / train personel not a single one could english and tell us what the information gives was. We just said there clueless the entire train ride. Luckily we new we just had to get off at the last station.
Very uprofessionel!

However the first class tickets were nice and the train ride was great otherwise.

Awful experience

Awful experience, worst part of our trip! I would never travel here again! First day bought a flexi ticket, bar code didn’t scan on email, went to cashier was told I’d have to pay again as we missed train ( at home flexi is hour after too apparently not here) for the next train ( four of us so 130 again), did that and went to train sat on the train which was continuously cancelled for 3 hours- even moved once and train was delayed again! We would not arrive till 1am in Caen too late to check in had to stay in Paris and change our trip completely! Also when you change language some pages on ticket machine are still in French?
Then same thing as another user for Versailles-no one in the station thought we bought right ticket and it let us through -in Versailles they were fining tourists 35 euro each for simple mistake! Ticket is only 2 euro more than the one we bought! It’s like they have a plan to con tourists! Rest of the holiday and the metro was great this company is awful!

Do not use SNCF

Yesterday I wanted to visit Versailles with my friend we needed to buy metro ticket to go there but there was anyyy workers to ask which ticket we should buy so we bought 4 tickets to Paris ( because we thought it’s correct one and there was not any one for verifying) for going and coming back and it worked so we thought it was the correct ticket But when we got in Versailles the controller check our ticket and he said it’s the wrong ticket and you should pay 70 Euros as the fine , I was like WHATTTTT?!?! he forced us to pay 70 Euros for a ticket that cost only 4 or 3 euros and that was an honest mistake , I’m a student and that was too much for me and I kind of pay the money for my new snickers TO SNCF FOR NOTHING THIS COMPANY IS BY FAR THE MOST SHITTIESTTTT COMPANY not just because of this fine but because of all the strikes that they were during my last semester and I lost lists of money and time more important my classes.
Don’t use this train and use other options even if it seems more expensive.

Very difficult to use

Very difficult to use. Our tickets are shown correctly on SNCF website but the pdf download of these tickets is entirely incorrect. My solution was to install the app and make screenshots!!

Bully ticket officers. Avoid using.

Horrible ticket wardens armed with batons tasers and some with guns. We innocently stepped on and off the wrong train and the rude, over aggressive sncf employees bullied us into paying a €50 fine for not having the right ticket for that train. Incredibly intimidating and uncomfortable experience. Horrible company with horrible employees. I would rather get a taxi than risk getting threatened and bullied by armed officers using the Trainline.

Strike after Strike

This company is always on strike. Fix it! I paid for a monthly pass to go and return from work but they've been on strike for most of the month. Then I need to spend extra money on buses. Utter disgrace

the sncf service when it works is…

the sncf service when it works is great, the staf is nice and helpfull and even if you mis your train they will put you on another. Their only glitch is the fact that they have traditional strikes just before the holidays and just after the holidays. cancelling your train with a whoopsie email. and later sending you an email thanking you for your FAITH in their service.

Comfortable train, but lacking in every other way!

I have not used often but twice in 2 days. Great trains from Belgarde to Paris. Out bound trip: train booked, crowded slow late bus delivered, no prior warning, information or apology provided. Home bound trip: Again later, bus provided with zero information! I’m afraid SNCF has lived up to an already poor reputation! Médiocre is within reach!

Company run by the pathetic

So, on November 11 at 4:30pm, I was on the train RER from Le Fontainebleau to Paris. A train ticket inspector goe on the train and started inspecting everyone's pass navigo. She came up to me and I showed mine that has my name and ID photo on it. Then, she asked me to show a card holder, which I didn't know what she was talking about. I said that my pass navigo was the only card I received when I had bought it, and she threatened me to pay a fine of 50 euros. So, I was forced to pay without her any further explanation. She left and checked other people's pass navigo. I saw that everyone else had the exact pass navigo and nothing else. I tried to complain, but she was gone already.
I contacted the customer service, only to get rejected because the train inspector's decision cannot be nullified.
Such a beautiful company.
It is just infuriating that we all still have to use their service due to monopoly.

Don't pay for a changeable ticket

I paid extra to be able to change my ticket, in case my day finished early. When the day came, I went to my booking but was not allowed to change it to an earlier train, even though the journey was available for a new purchase at full price, for the same route. I had tried to make the change several hours in advance and took screen shots to prove it (some options with trains "Complet," which is understandable, but the rest "Non-réservable," which is NOT acceptable--if it's not possible, why do they even appear, and what service have I paid extra for, anyway?). The website chatbot only redirects to FAQs. Yes, I did read the terms of my changeable ticket and respected them. No, I don't want to make a telephone call and ask for the person to repeat themselves because the sound quality is terrible. The link to write an email to customer service doesn't work.
