Their responses were quick and efficient. Beatrize went over and beyond to answer my questions.

Having everything organised by your company before starting our journey made everything so easy.
Our hotels were all comfortable with good breakfasts, spotless rooms and the staff in each one were very helpful.

The trip/tour was well organized. Having an app for the trail to follow would be nice. The bikes work well, the hotels are nice enough to be comfortable, and we had a great time.

The hotels were wonderful, except for the Windsor Hotel in Santiago which felt disappointing after the wonderful places before. Luggage transfer seamless and the welcome in all places very warm!

What a great way to walk the Camino with all of our concerns, itinerary and lodings taken care of by Carmen and the team at ORBIS Ways. Everyday, our fellow pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago huddled around us happily absorbing all the important sites along our right all day. We were impressed with the selection of accommodations......our itinerary had us staying in hotels (not hostels).. we will always consider ORBIS Ways for our future travels.

I am 12 days into the Camino Frances from St Jean to Santiago. When I initially booked the trip, I received my suggested accommodations for 34 nights, all well located with respect to the Path. When I made my final payment and received my dossier, I had 34 different accommodations. The hotels themselves have been fine, but a number are well off the Camino. In St Jean, I was 2 miles out of town, walking in the rain, then walking back into town in the rain to get to the Pilgrim office, then back again another 2 miles to the lodging. Yesterday, I was 3 miles off the Camino, and tomorrow I will be 2 miles off. Either they do not book far enough in advance to keep you close to the Path, or they search for the cheapest hotels, whether on or off the Path to maximize their earnings. So, tomorrow after a 29 km hike, with a major climb into O’Cebreiro, I then end up an additional 5km from my lodging. This is clearly an intentional “bait and switch” where they initially send you city centre lodging options to entice you in, then change it to maximize their profits. My hotels have been different from the original proposal on 34 of 34 nights, and it is clearly intentional. I originally booked through Orbis Ways, but all my documents came from Santiago Ways, so they are clearly linked,

Thank you for a great experience… choosing good hotels and organising the luggage transfer. Everything went very smoothly- even in the power outage!

If it was possible to give zero-star reviews, I definitely would. I could have been badly injured or even dead because of Orbis Ways incompetence. It is going to be a very long read so either bear it with me or just book a tour with another travel company. Believe me, you would be better off financially and mentally.
First of all, I don't write reviews very often and I try to never write negative reviews. Since there is so much negativity in the world right now, there is no point in adding to it a bit of yours. However, in this case I have to. Firstly, to warn potential travelers, secondly to show how Orbis Ways does its business in Scotland.
I have travelled a lot in my life and I have seen many tour guides and many travel companies. Mostly, the experiences have been good, some have not, but things happen, nobody is perfect and bad experiences are quickly forgotten. What happened to me with Orbis Ways is, unfortunately, an exception to the rule.
Everything started really well. I asked the quote for the West Highland Way tour to Scotland and very soon I was contacted by one of the agents, B###z. All was paid on time and the link to the full itinerary was emailed to me. The itinerary looked exactly the same as they have on their website(which mentions that if accommodations are not available, similar would be provided) and just with the dates added to it.
The problems started when I tried to check into the Premier Inn hotel in Milngavie, and in reality it was a different Premier Inn in Bearsden, thankfully not far off. Not a big deal. However, what seems very odd to me is that I had not been given some very important info about my trip: free transfer from Inverarnan to Tyndrum and back, and no maps have been provided on the itinerary that had been sent to me. I thought maybe it would be provided upon checking into the first hotel. Not at all. After that the complete horror and disaster began. Out of 8 days of the trip only on days #3 and #5 I stayed in places that had been stated on my itinerary. On the 2nd day of the trip I emailed B###z in order to ask about free transfer(mentioned above). No answer. Called them the next day, no one answered either. As a result, a free transfer did not happen, so I took a bus. The next day because of the necessity of taking the bus again I got myself on the wrong trail(all of the hikers had been all on the trail by that time) and my Garmin map failed me for the first time. What I had to go through to get back on the track is like escaping Nazi camp: got myself in a moor, jumped through the barbed wire and had to walk on a railroad bridge. The only things that were missing were SS soldiers shouting and dogs barking behind my back.
Unfortunately, this is not all. The second part where I was really shocked and dumbfounded is when I was contacted by C###n, supposedly the main person to talk to in Orbis Ways and the manager of B###z, which happened on the 7th day of my trip. Her tone ranged from inquisitive and caring at the beginning, to very rude at the end. I got the correct itinerary on the 8th day when I was sitting and enjoying craft beer after my last hike in Port William, the end point of the whole tour. In addition, I was accused of being irresponsible for not opening up and reading all incoming emails(which is never the case). Then, I was blamed for not checking my Spam box( which is totally absurd since Gmail has never put the emails of the people you had been in contact with in the Spam folder). And at the end of our conversation I was basically accused of being a liar and spreading "fake news"( for not wanting to give up the names of the hosts that had complained about them). It summed up the whole trip for me right there.
To be honest, the only thing that helped me to finish the tour was the fact that the luggage company(Ginger Routes) somehow had been sent the right itinerary and delivered the bag where I was actually to stay. I just followed my itinerary, went to the wrong hosts and they called their driver to ask him at what accommodation my bag was left.
Now, about "fake news". All in all I talked to 6 out of 8 hosts( the ones I stayed in and the ones that were on almost obsolete itinerary. 5 hosts out of 6, mentioned Orbis as a chaotic company with many ongoing issues. The rest I have not bothered with the questions about them since I was just glad to find my luggage and to have a roof over my head.
Having said that, I wish I had come here earlier and read all the negative reviews of their dealings in the UK. Hopefully, all the future customers would and stay away from them.

I walked from Tui to Santiago. All of the hotels were clean with comfy beds and helpful staff. The luggage was where it was supposed to be each day.

The transfer were bang on, always there around 1600 so no waiting for them. The food was good for breakfast and got me going early to miss the crowds, I would definitely use them again if I go again. My back and overall health thanks you.
I will recommend you to whoever is planning on going from my friends and family.

Orbis Ways organised our baggage transfers and accommodation for a five day Camino. They provided route information and on going support with questions and transfers. We had excellent service, detailed and helpful advice and stayed in very good hotels and pensions throughout. It was a memorable trip and I would recommend Orbis Ways. I hope that we can use them again to explore further.

Great Camino trip, organised really well, Carmen was very responsive to enquiries and gave good advice about the walk. She ensured all the hotels knew of my coeliac disease and dietary requirements. Would definitely use Orbis Ways again.
