Didn't even want to click 1 star, I've bought twice because maybe the first one was defective. But a complete scam and unable to get in touch with anyone at customer service

Bad quality company & software

Yeah, seems we all agree that Oracle Net Suite product and service is ultra low quality, poorly constructed software that masquerades as something worth paying for. I would advise you to avoid like the plague.

Net Suite technicians are very very sluggish. And Oracle sales staff are trained to lie about what you’ll get, and there are far cheaper options that perform 50x better and actually deliver what they promise.

On top of that they illegally lured us into helping them commit tax evasion. So bad it’s almost funny.

One of my worst experiences was with this company. They charged me money twice to open an account, but each time it went wrong, and when I messaged support they said there was nothing they could do. How far have the ways of stealing reached...

HR support is unresponsive

The background check process was extremely slow and lacked transparency. I received no updates unless I followed up myself, and even then, responses were vague or nonexistent. It felt disorganized and unprofessional, causing unnecessary stress and delays in onboarding. Overall, a frustrating and poorly managed experience.

Impossible to make account for oracle cloud free trial

I have spent over 30 minutes trying to trouble shoot to make a free trial oracle cloud account. As much as I want to hold back how angry I am that the simple act of logging in is impossible to do because it clears away everything except your phone number when you try to make the account. They do not explain why or anything or any notification.

5 stars for Oracle Linux.

5 stars for Oracle Linux.

Oracle LInux has been great. Rock solid. I don't agree in the direction Oracle is taking in AI. I gave it 3 stars if I consider the site -- very complicated, no one replied to me when I had a computer problem. Don't like the "umbrella company" Oracle, but like the site in reference to Linux.

That being said, their Linux distribution it's very impressive. It's done with Gnome desktop. You dress it up and it's great. Stock gnome is not that good.

I love the long "used by date" -- you only have to worry about updating the distro literally every 10 years!

It's hard to break and if you're feeling "paranoid," you can use the unbreakable kernel.

Everything works -- printers, wifi, scanner, browsers. You can update what you want, when you want. You can get Fedora "extensions" (download from their server, forgot the name). Had problems with Snaps working but they fixed themselves after a while!

Only one thing I don't like is that VPNs outside of browsers don't work! Only Proxys!

Install is a bit tricky and admittedly not as good as Mint but then again you I think you get to think about what you are installing more and have more appreciation for that.

You can always go back to the menu on boot (and press shift or escape if it doesn't happen automatically) if something goes wrong and use and older kernel and use that "rescue" one if something's really wrong. But I never had that happen. I'm always careful with installing updates due to my experiences with Linux Mint. I'd say Oracle Linux is at least partially "unbreakable" not just because of their special kernel but in a general LInux sense with similar terminology they use.

This distro proves big companies can do great things and they have all the resources. Not everything open source is good and not everything community based is good. If something's good, it's good. Just like Steam for gaming is great despite it not being open source (but I know the Linux community will go eerily silent on that fact....)

They just reject account for hidden…

They just reject account for hidden reason.

I have created an account with my business debit card. They charges for verification. (also refunded within 2 min). But rejected my account (Card verification was successful).

I did contact with their support through phone call they said I have to send email.

After mailing them about this issue.
They replied a single sentence that `they can't resolve this issue`.
[What a support quality!]

If you are planning to create Oracle cloud account just stop your plan right now.

You will share your card details to them. And they will reject you.

A terrible service. My account got terminated without a reason or any warning, even though I did not break any terms of service. Now all my data is gone, and the support is declining to answer my question about why my account was deleted. AVOID THEIR SERVICES AT ALL COST

Hilarious customer experience

My account got terminated for absolutely no reason whatsoever, I got ghosted by their support which also refused to elaborate any further. Would recommend avoiding any form of contact with said company and choose a better rival one.

If you want some advice

If you want some advice - don't. And if you still decide to proceed, arm yourself with patience as it takes no less than an hour to create a free account, if successful at all. It's unclear whether this is solely due to an unprofessional product (which it certainly is) or if there's also an element of false advertising about their "no credit card required" free tier.

First must-do if you try anyway: Use a VPN, even if it's for the same country you're trying to register in. Without a VPN, they'll reject your attempt as "suspicious" - ironically considering a real address without VPN suspicious.

When you reach the payment section, it turns out it's not entirely free - they want to make a small charge that you might get back. 80% of common Visa and Mastercard cards won't work. Try creating virtual cards, as they don't accept physical Visa and Mastercards, despite explicitly stating the opposite about virtual cards. When creating a virtual card, ensure it's through a bank that masks its virtual nature.

For address details, don't use your actual address. Like with IP addresses, they reject normal addresses as "suspicious" even if you legitimately live there. Use an office address or perhaps a company address if you're going that route - they don't accept real residential addresses.

Everything must be completed incredibly quickly - we estimate under 5 minutes - otherwise, it times out and you'll need to start over, re-entering everything: bank details, address, email, etc.

Speaking of email - your address must be new. We tried both our email addresses, including old unused ones, but they're rejected unless brand new. Create a new address, preferably Yahoo or Gmail, and be prepared to do this multiple times as even new addresses get rejected. If they're not rejected, verification becomes impossible as the verification email either never arrives (even after days) or expires in less than 5 minutes despite claiming a 30-minute window.

We spent several days, sporadically over weeks, testing different approaches and checking if they were fixing bugs in their unprofessional software, but no - you must follow these exact steps. We only discovered this after finding similar experiences in forums.

My advice: use alternatives. We're in now following these steps, but it took countless attempts, multiple human verifications, numerous complete restarts with address, name, server country selection, etc., and wouldn't do it again.

If you absolutely must proceed, have everything ready: Oracle's page, Yahoo mail creation, Gmail creation, a working company address finder, etc. (we used a legitimate work address as we didn't want to use random or false addresses as they force you to). Good luck.

Shocking customer support

Shocking customer support, the products are fairly reliable and well priced but offer quite basic functionality and lack advanced features. The support are absolutely hopeless, they haven’t helped me achieve an actual resolution after raising 5+ calls about separate issues and closing my calls that they couldn’t help me find a solution to.

Account terminated with no explanation

Signed up for oracle cloud infrastructure which required contact with their support to get my account verified. Everything seemed fine and I spent a couple of days prepping an environment for testing. Then without notice my services are all shutdown and account is unable to login. After contacting support this is the response:

Thank you for contacting us regarding your account. We have escalated your account for review and it was determined that it will remain closed. This decision is final.

No violation of terms of agreement on my part and payment details valid for pay as you go. Strange way to tempt customers away from AWS/Azure etc.

Will be avoiding any service oracle related from now on.

Scam

I have no idea how these people are still in business. I've tried to sign up multiple times, but after you give them all your info, like your credit card number, etc., you receive an error message. The worst part is that customer service just says that they can't provide any information on the reasons. What is this? Some kind of data-stealing service?

oracle cloud free tier is a stealing…

oracle cloud free tier is a stealing piece of nonsense. firstly they said the charge on my account for "free tier" was to verify my identity and it will return it didn't. Now the charge keeps happening multiple times on my card and on top of that my tenancy termination request is failing. And their VM was unusable, very slow. terminated all that crap. Yet they charge me multiple times.

Potential customer here (or was should…

Potential customer here (or was should I say). Was told I couldnt get any questions answered without a sales rep. Sent the email as requested to get an account setup. Then was told to reach back out next week to find out who my account manager was. I done my part. Im not reaching back out to anyone after being bounced around for 2 hours between reps. Was literally told she couldn't do anything because she's dealing with multiple customers. Agent I was dealing with is Avi Ghermezi.

Very bad service

Today I got a surprise. My Oracle account was closed without prior notification. On top of that, there is no opportunity to reopen the account. I contacted support and was only told that the account had been closed. I said I wanted to file a complaint about the situation but they told me I couldn't file a complaint as I no longer had my account active. Bunch of incompetents. Good thing I only had the free tier plan. I lost all my work and the things I had on my host

Oracle customer support is…

Oracle customer support is non-existent, and I'm not even sure if real people are there? I had an issue and received a nonsense error, and a week after raising a support request I finally received, and I quote "Unfortunately, we are unable to resolve this or process the transaction. This is all the information we can provide." which says it all.
