My experience withService Excellence with Room for Technical Improvement the Optimus trading…
My experience with the Optimus trading platform has been mostly positive, especially highlighting the excellent customer service both in the live chat and in the Optimus forum. This personalized and efficient customer service has been a key point in my satisfactory experience. In addition, the platform, based on Quantower, stands out for its usability and functionality, ranking among the best I have tested.
However, I would like to point out a few areas where I think Optimus could be improved. I have noticed that the Optimus Flow version is often outdated compared to the most recent version of Quantower. For example, as of today, January 25, 2024, the available version of Optimus Flow is 1.136.1, while Quantower is already at 1.137.12. This difference in updates concerns me, as it could mean not having access to the latest enhancements and features.
In addition, I have experienced some delays in resolving bugs, sometimes more than a week, which is especially problematic when it comes to critical bugs. This is something I have noticed mainly in the backtest&optimize functionalities, where a bug can significantly delay the development of trading strategies. Sometimes, after an upgrade, it is unclear whether the functionality I was using before will continue to work properly. This can be quite frustrating and affects my trading efficiency.
Despite these issues, I still rate the platform positively for its competitive pricing, which I consider a strength compared to other options on the market.
I hope that this feedback will be taken into account and contribute to further improve the Optimus experience, thus reinforcing its position as a leading trading platform in the market.

Optimus customer service is just awesome. Jake and the team take great care of their customers. Platform is reliable. The daily max stop loss is a great feature that not much brokers offers. I would love to see a mobile app and the ability to create stops and TPs strategies. Thanks guys!!

There margin fee is way too high
There margin fee is way too high. What I remember it was $600. I started with $1000 account knowing that I only need to have $100 to get it started but when you’re trading around it’s not clear that the margin is $600 and from shopping around at other brokerage $600 is way too high. AMP is way better. what type of brokerage owner charges $600 to margin? A POS… especially to traders that are looking to Optimus because they have small accounts.

Incredible Software and Customer Service
Optimus Futures is hands-down the best futures brokerage I have ever worked with. Their trading fees are competitive with the best in the business, you can trade with them via Tradingview charts if you'd like and their proprietary trading software, Optimus Flow, is truly something special. It is their own licensed version of Quantower which a very advanced trading suite that usually costs a pretty penny to use (and is worth every cent) but with Optimus you are able to use it for free. There are so many options for volume-based indicators like footprint charts and a heatmap that basically emulates the features provided by Bookmap that are super useful and also typically very expensive to use.
The software suite alone and the ability to trade via Tradingview would honestly be enough but beyond that they have a rock-solid customer service team (shout out to Jake) who held my hand through my initial setup and is always quick to respond via email with any questions I may have. Their main login site that you use (Ironbeam.com) is a little outdated-looking and basic but don't let that fool you, once you have Optimus Flow running on your computer you will see that you have the most modern and user-friendly set of tools for trading at your fingertips. SO glad to have found Optimus and I plan to be a client of theirs for many years to come.

Exceptional Customer Service
And that's my reason for choosing Optimus after much research and demo accounts at several firms. Shoutout to Jake, who very patiently and professionally answered all my questions and dealt with all sorts of technical problems I encountered with the platform/datafeed when I tried the demo account back in September-October last year. I opened a real account because of him.
The actual account setup was somewhat confusing, with the account with Optimus and the account with FCM, but that hiccup was solved again by Jake. I feel like I'm in good hands at Optimus.

Their platform OptimusFLOW is free and excellent for chart traders. They accept feedback from traders for ways they can improve their platform which is awesome and their customer service is very good. If you want cheap commissions and an awesome trading platform go with Optimus Futures!
