Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 161 reviews, most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Customers frequently praise the staff for being friendly, helpful, and providing excellent customer service, often going above and beyond to assist with frame selection, eye tests, and adjustments. Many appreciate the value for money, the quality of the products, and the thoroughness of the eye exams. However, some people were dissatisfied with inconsistent service, reporting issues with unhelpful or rude staff, particularly when problems arose with glasses or prescriptions. There are also mentions of concerns regarding the quality of frames, with some experiencing breakages or ill-fitting glasses, and a few customers felt their concerns were dismissed or that the prescription provided was inaccurate.

Excellent staff who are very friendly …

I have left a review in past for the staff at Asda opticians, Rochdale and yet again I am so pleased with the service provided by the optician, who referred me for Cateract surgery and to the instore staff.
Anna fitted the glasses I chose and I went back today and collected them.
Zoe and Saba very friendly and I would definitely recommend this opticians, who provide value for money frames and lenses with loads of choice

My husband and I have collected our new glasses today from Asda opticians Barnes Hill Birmingham.
Absolutely brilliant service and support from all the staff.
Eye test was the best we’ve had in a long while.
The price of the glasses are really good as the price that’s on the glasses is what you pay including all prescriptions. £80.00 each or 2 pairs £120.
Range of glasses are really good too.
Really pleased would definitely recommend.

Asda SEALAND ROAD Opticians

All the staff at Asda Sealand Road OPTICIANS department were brilliant with me. From my first visit to book my test, the staff were so approachable and friendly. My second visit for my actual test was less than a week later. Gareth was brilliant, Very down to earth and friendly. Had brilliant product knowledge and I was super confident and comfortable with him. Also super helpful with fitting and styling. I can't remember my opticians name but it was a lovely lady who clarified lots for me regarding verifvocals. I'm now a week in with my 2 for 120 frames and they've been perfect. All the bells and whistles included with the price of the frames, thin lenses, anti scratch etc. Even covers sunglasses etc. Honestly going to be my lifelong optician now. Already reccomended them to two colleagues. Thanks to all at Asda Sealand Road Opticians.

ASDA OPTICIANS IN SLOUGH
Thank you so much for helping me pick out two perfect frames- customer service is a million stars. I felt that the quality of the frames are so good, and the price of the lenses were so affordable- compared to other stores, prices were so good and affordable. I wanted to say thank you - service is outstanding. I was referred by my friend, and I am so glad I came in today. Thank you again, Mary Tarr

Fantastic Customer Service at Asda Opticians Wakefield

My wife and I had Asda Opticians recommended and I have to say that Kim and the rest of the team at Wakefield have been absolutely fantastic! Everyone we've encountered has been so friendly, professional, empathetic and helpful, not to mention the great value for money.
Having spent a fair amount of my career training people in customer service, I have to say that Kim and the team are second to none. Thank you.

Answer your phone!

I was late for my appointment and was told they couldn't see me, fair enough, but I tried to phone to say I was running late. The phone rang for ages , then the answer phone kicked saying we're unable to take your call, please call later. If they had picked up the phone it would have saved me a journey and I could have rebooked.

I Can See Clearly Now The Prescription's Right

Went to ASDA Govan branch after jumping from Specsavers who royally messed my last prescription up. Excellent service, even to the point of a referral to get my astigmatism properly looked at, which Specsavers didn't bother much with. The prescription is a lot better this time. It's nice to be able to see properly for the first time in ages!

VERY UNHAPPY.

Went to have my glasses checked in Asda Poole Opticians as I am getting really bad headaches. I went to an independent Optician for my site test to be told that my glasses from Asda were not correct as they were causing my right eye to slightly turn inwards.
Asda told me “the glasses were correct” but then Tracy said “oh hang on a minute. NO THEY ARE A MISTAKE”. Not happy as you can imagine. Then today I had to go back with my distance glasses because they had twisted and the lady that served me said “well you must had done this to them”. Really poor customer service. Won’t be using them again. Very unhelpful.

Appalling customer service in asda…

Appalling customer service in asda poole opticians today. Apparently store opening times until 1930 don't mean you can collect your glasses after 1730! One optical assistant working who was more interested in her personal phone call and being rude than actually allowing me to collect the glasses I'd paid for during opening hours.

Asda for groceries - Not for glasses.

Took my own new frames to Asda to have varifocals fitted, when I collected them I couldn't see anything an any distance clearly. They re tested my eyes changed the prescription and remade the glasses, on collection my new frames were twisted and the manager tried to straighten and made them worse to the point they no longer fitted and charged me £165 for the pleasure. The new lenses did nothing more than give me headaches and Asda said they would only refund me £80 as I used my NHS voucher for the shortfall which can't be refunded or re issued.

So in all, the prescription was incorrect twice and they damaged my own new £90 frames leaving me out of pocket by a total £255 and I'm back to square one. Will never go back.

Eddy Ray-ban!

Such a fabulous optician with friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. Paul the manager and his staff went above and beyond with their service and expertise. I'd definitely recommend Asda Opticians, Sealand Rd for those of you looking for decent, affordable, and professional optician in Chester.

The Asda staff were very good

The Asda staff were very good and helpful but I will not be using them again. I am sure the lenses are not correct to the prescription ( or the prescription is not right ) I have been back and they sent the glasses away but still not perfect. I feel the lenses are cheap so not really good . However I will in future use my local independent opticians.

Asda Peterlee opticians the worst

This is the worst opticians we have used,my wife ordered glasses and after being sent back to labs twice the prescription wasn't right so we asked for refund.Instead of a refund they charged us for the glasses again so we paid twice for glasses we did not receive. It took a member of management to process the refund. The staff at Peterlee seemed clueless of how to process a refund
