So far so good…

Just taken out a boiler cover policy with OpenFix and the process was quick and straightforward. The pricing was very competitive compared to other providers and setting everything up was simple with clear information throughout. Happy with the experience so far and hopefully the service continues to be just as good going forward.

boiler servi ce was never completed due…

boiler servi ce was never completed due to leek in pipes according to engineer who left after turning of mains supply. contacted another engineer who found leek came from gas hob and changed the fibre washer.
trying to cancle plan they wanted to charge me for price of service . do not use this company

Having reviewed the engineer’s job sheet, the boiler service was not completed because a gas leak was identified during the safety checks. The attending engineer advised at the time that the issue appeared to be related to the gas hob installation, and the gas supply was isolated with the customer’s permission for safety reasons.

The notes recorded on the job sheet state that the gas installation failed the required tightness test and that remedial works would be required before the boiler service could continue.

We understand another engineer later attended and replaced a fibre washer at the hob to resolve the leak. In situations where a gas leak is identified, engineers are required to follow gas safety procedures and make the installation safe before any boiler service can proceed.

We do appreciate the frustration caused and agree the job should have been followed up more effectively once the issue was identified.

Since we have been with openfix we have…

Since we have been with openfix we have had nothing but excellent service, and we have just had our yearly boiler service and again can't fault it, the engineer was extremely knowledgeable and did a great job.

The engineer who came to mend the leak…

The engineer who came to mend the leak was very professional, clean and polite.
Communication was good from the company and the allocation of engineer, includibg theur phone number us excellent.
The response time from open fix to our leak left us with no hot water or heating for 3 days which we coped with but not sure if you are relient on these if you could get a quicker response x

New customer experience

As a new customer I was pleased with how I was welcomed I found the service very friendly and professional Oliver was great explaining the various plans and their benefits, I had an issue which was resolved which meant I was able to take out the plan I wanted. I believe the prices are competitive I positively await to receive a great service if the actual service matches the customer service I’ll be delighted. I look forward to give feedback on services received in due course

Poor service, trying to get out of works

I wouldn't go near this company again. engineer attended and diagnosed fault with heat exchanger, took 8 days and numerous attempts to get someone to get back in touch with me - they then tried to say this wasn't covered - despite there being full boiler cover. no engineer job report on system, allegedly the engineer can diagnose the cause of the fault without actually removing the "closed" part, and blame it on the customer!

While your plan includes boiler support, certain parts and fault types are excluded under the terms of the agreement, including this particular component failure. Engineers are able to diagnose faults using testing procedures, system readings, and the symptoms present without always needing to dismantle every internal section of the appliance.

That said, we do accept that the delay in updating you following the engineer’s visit was not acceptable. Taking 8 days and multiple attempts to obtain an update is below the standard we aim to provide, and this is something we will be reviewing internally to improve our communication and response times moving forward.

I switched from British gas

I switched from British gas as every year as a loyal member they increase there price a lot. I have signed up with open fix and at less than half the price i hope the service will be just as good.

Very easy to set up.

Very easy to set up and will see if the service is as good. Not the cheapest but service offer was much superior to British Gas and much cheaper by far. Time will tell if I’ve made the right choice. Fingers crossed.🤞🏻
