Do not Use!!

Do not Use!!

These people charged £400 + to look at my boiler.
It's hard to argue about rates as they refuse to quote (I should have known better), but they charged well over the odds for a part the didn't install and still haven't fully refunded.

Stay well away, absolute rip off merchants

Do not use

Do not use at any cost , small job re connecting bath waste pipe , £50 call out then he took bath panel off and said cost of parts £30 , and £399 repair , , paid the £50 and said no I will try find someone else , I can not do the job as I have had a stroke and need to keep my stress levels down , went in to the bathroom to find that he had Brocken a wall tile taking the bath panel off , he has not responded to my texts , I have called the company and I have had to send an email and pictures, so done that , then been told it can be up to 15 days for a reply , so without a shower or bath now as I can not get anyone to look at it until they get back to me or they will say someone else done it . Absolutely disgusted, and the plumber has no morals and is not an honourable man. He will not respond to any contact either . 15 days later and still no response !! , they offer a discount on a future service but not offering to pay for the damage , !!

One of the most disrespectful

One of the most disrespectful, rude and incompetent services I’ve ever used. The technician was friendly but failed to diagnose the issue, the customer support on the phone was infuriating and rude. I would consider staying far away from these people.

Please do not use this deceitful, company.They are theifs who steal money by over charging and using thuggish,intimidating behaviour to extort money from vulnerable,and hard working people. This company is a ROGUE TRADER and over charged but did not fix the issue with the boiler. Engineer in property for 25mins .. charged £49 call out and after bleeding the boiler to reduce the pressure a bill of £369!! No upfront cost charged and STEPHANIE supposed customer service person is an awful human being so did not listen to a word that was being relayed just wanted the money to be paid to the engineer who apparently gets half the money! This is a SCAM COMPANY and should not be allowed to get away with this.
Look out for your free publicity on BBC ROGUE TRADERS..!! In this time of hardship this company should not be allowed to get away with this.. Eventually paid £250 under duress for 25 mins to drain my 3 year old boiler! No receipt nothing!!! Absolute joke.

Your response is not accurate as I expected- Tyrone did not say how much it will cost to NOT DIAGNOSE the fault. The problem was in the ROOF from the waste water that drains from the boiler.. YOUR ENGINEER DID NOT CHECK THE FLUE/WASTE PIPE.. The fault was nothing to do with the part he said was “rusted”
You are a scam company and should not be allowed to trade! You did not call back when you said you would- which meant in these sub zero temperatures I had to pay another engineer to fix the problem!
YOUR STANDARD RATE CANNOT BE £365 FOR 25MINS unless you tell the clients when they book on the call that is the rate of BEFORE your engineer get INTO THE PROPERTY. When I asked of cost your mention £49 call out and nothing else..!
How do you all sleep at night.. you are all scammers-DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! THEY WILL JUST TAKE YOUR MONEY AND CUSTOMER SERVICES WILL NOT SORT ANYTHING OUT FOR YOU.

Pretends to be a local company

Pretends to be a local company but is an agency! Sends out an electrician at a £49 call out charge and saying they will be comparable and then at the end adds on lots of things to the cost of the work. Expects payment on the spot without any itemised billing system.

Very very expensive.

Avoid this company

I had an electrician come out Sunday evening to "fix" a problem with my electric. He had a look, then came back the next day and fixed the issue, or so I thought. He then gave me a £569 bill for the trouble, no up-front transparency on costs other than the £59 call out charge. I appreciate that Sunday evening warrants more money but for about 3 hours in total I feel this is a very steep invoice.

The problem was fixed for about two weeks but then it happened again. I got a different electrician out and he said the problem was with the line coming into the house and nothing to do with the wiring in my property. We had engineers come out from GTC to confirm this was the case and they had to dig out my road to fix the issue which was a bad joint in the underground cable leading to my property.

I tried to speak to someone at Best Technicians in ways of a complaint and potential refund but they do not have a support contact number. There is no way to actually speak with a support contact. After waiting almost two week from my initial email, someone got back to me and said they are not willing to provide me with a refund when they clearly failed to identify the problem and only provided a temporary fix.

As well as this, they also changed the description of the work carried out on my invoice against the one I was originally sent by their electrician. They also claim they gave me a follow-up call the day after the work was carried out and I confirmed I was happy. This never happened. Seems very shady.

Avoid this company at all costs! They aren't transparent on costs, they are unwilling to admit mistakes and their support is horrendous.

Reasonable Call Out, Hidden Hourly Rate Scam

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The tactic they use is to offer a reasonable sounding £49 call out charge and will then refuse to provide hourly rates, just saying they source locally and rates are therefore competitive. The rates are 4 times the typical going charge, and these are only declared at the point you're faced with paying the engineers directly - who are under instruction not to discuss their cut.

Other reviews suggest their tactics are consistent, and their standard response is a discount on your next job - but believe me, nobody would ever put them to work a second time.

A complaint is being raised with Trading Standards about their way of working. Utterly appalling.

£49 call out then £157.50 per hour for a breaker change in a circuit board... £400 later and you have no option but to pay the guy standing in your kitchen, or speak to someone you can't understand on the phone. Absolute scam

I called them out to clear a drain. Was told that i would get a price from the engineer but didnt. The engineer then charged me 400.00!! a similar job with dinorod was 200.00. The company do not tell you how much the hourly rate is (350.00)!! then deny all knowledge when you call them

There are no words!!!! Devastating

There are no words 😢 Devastating! Like so many others on here, quoted £49 to come out and then 1hour of looking at my boiler most of that time spent reading the user manual, I constantly asked him how much this was going to cost me with no answer. Then the awful phone call to tell me I am being charged £249! My boiler isn’t fixed that’s what it will cost me for him to tell me I need a new pipe. Please never use these people, I asked constantly for information on charges without any response then the engineer stands there intimidating and just terrible, so upset and my boiler is still not fixed, no heating and no hot water.

Massively overcharged after plumber…

Massively overcharged after plumber finished received numerous calls from a woman shouting down phone to give payment to plumber. I did not agree price but plumber would not leave my house. I then agreed a credit card payment he left came back 2 hours later said I did not agree the extortionate payment but he refused to leave asked for receipt but he tore it in half so I could not see where my payment went. Been in touch with bank and found out payment went to a cab company they are investigating. Do not use this company although they go under different names all over London I booked with 247 plumbers but apparently these companies farm it out. After clearing payment they do not give receipt or guarantee and never answer any messages only call centre phonr. AVOID

Disgusting service.

Wow just wow! I am in utter shock at this company. It seems we all seem to be having the same issuing and that’s with their prices! I called and was told £49 for a call out fee.. I then asked but how much would it cost to get the issue fixed and the rude lady on the phone said when the engineer arrives he will tell you but we give extremely fair prices. I then said on. Plumber arrives and takes him 15 mins to get the job done. Lady calls me again and says total is £370!!!!! DIABOLICAL. How is this company allowed to stay open? I will be reporting them with immediate effect. I told her that they’ll only be getting £200 from me and that’s still a lot. She called me 10 times of the phone shouting. Took us 40 mins back and forth till he left my property. The guy that arrived was very professional and he had to do as he was told. Please please please avoid this company at all costs.

Terrible experience- technician’ was…

They charged me £300 for an hour's labour. Plus a call out fee.
They charged me for work which was not carried out.
AVOID - USE ANOTHER COMPANY.

You charged me for work that you didn't do. I have emailed you to tell you this
I was not given a quote beforehand,
I was just told I would be charged £50 call out fee.
Your Company makes it up as they go along.
I wouldn't use your company again once was more than enough.

Although the technician managed to fix…

Although the technician managed to fix our electrical problem (faulty fuse), he MASSIVELY overcharged us, wouldn't leave the flat until it was immediately paid. But the kicker? He starts hitting on my girlfriend when she asked for the report. Incredibly unprofessional and insulting. WILL NOT USE AGAIN.

If we could give zero stars we would..

If we could give zero stars we would... We have reported to Citizens Advice and Trading Standards, the police and our banking.

We are a renewables company in Hull and we have a kitchen macerator fitted upstairs which has become blocked. We found the number of the company and decided to give them a call. They stated the call out fee is £49 which is great that's what all companies charge and when we asked the fee thereafter they couldn't give us a price and stated they would tell us on site when they've assessed. We asked for an hourly rate which again they couldn't give. The engineer arrived and didn't speak a word and said leave it with him. He came in 15 minutes later to say it'd been fixed but may need a switch fitting if problem occurs. Again we had no issue with this, he said payment is due and to wait for a call. I said is it £49 and he got extremely cagey! A lady called and we asked for an invoice as we are a business, but she asked us to pay cash to the engineer. As a business we cannot do this, about 40 minutes later a rough, badly written invoice comes through stating a price of £420. We refused to pay it and managed to get it down to £149 which they weren't happy with to the extent the engineer loitered on site for 2 hours! We had to call 101 to get him to leave.

Although called Best Technicians, the invoice came from 24/7 Best Emergency and bank details were to Fast Gas Plumbing Ltd!

Citizens Advice and Trading Standards are making a case against them.

Oh - and our macerator is worse than before and now leaking!

If I could give this company Zero I…

If I could give this company Zero I would. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Had an electrician to my home. I was made aware of a £49 call out charge only. On arrival the electrician who was very polite said he could do nothing and I had to go via The power grid. The call handler told the electrician to take the £49 call out charge. She then text the Electrician to take £120. I disputed this charge as no work had been completed. Less than a 5 minute visit most of that was disputing the cost of the visit with the call centre. The Electrician said he would need to come back later as the power grid would not connect the supply to my home after the issue was fixed. The call handler agreed to take the £49. Since this time repeated phone calls asking when the electrician would be coming back. Whilst dealing with having no power… having to have an emergency generator to get power to my home temporarily and then the side of my home dug up the drive and the road to get power to my home I had continued calls from this company. I have now received an invoice for the rest of the money requested for the zero work completed.

Thank you for your reply but I would never use your company ever again. The price was not quoted upfront by the electrician at all! This is untrue!
Taking money for no work! You should be ashamed

I contacted who I thought was a reputable company as I was having trouble with my boiler. The person who answered the call informed there would be a £49.00 call out fee, which I agreed to as it was a Sunday. The engineer who arrived was very quiet and didn't engage in conversation. After 15 minutes a man rang to say the job had been completed and the cost would be £440.00. which I refused to pay the full amount, informing him I didn't have that amount of cash. He became quite abrupt demanding I did a bank transfer. I informed him I didn't have the money in my bank account to which he demanded I show the engineer my bank statement. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I informed him I would give the engineer £200.00 in cash and wouldn't give anymore until I had checked the company out. The man then started to negotiate slowly dropping the price from £440.00 to £250.00. He rang my phone consistently 12 times. The engineer who obviously knew the set up was happy to take the £200.00 and run. This lot need to be ashamed of themselves trying to rob honest decent people. It just made me think of an old person on their own listening to the demands of the guy on the phone. A total disgrace. They also work under the name of 24/7
