We just arrived back from our fantastic 3 week long trip to Africa organized by Maxine with Okavango Delta Explorations. Our trip consisted of visiting many different areas, but all of our logistics were handled smoothly. Maxine did a great job of suggesting great lodging and guest houses that all turned out to be amazing. Maxine was also very responsive and thorough in her responses to us as we planned, but also as we prepared to go, and even during the trip. I highly recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Africa!

You made the booking process easy and seamless and understood the product offering very well which led to a beautiful experience from start to finish.

Maxine at Okavango Delta Explorations helped us plan two safaris, one with Selinda Explorers and another with Letaka. We had a great time. Both guides, Stitch and Alex were excellent. We saw amazing wildlife and had many special experiences. Maxine was so helpful in finding the right safaris for us. She was always quick to respond to our questions. Thank you for an amazing trip!

I really enjoyed working with Maxine to put together an itinerary for our first trip to Botswana! The company was very responsive, answered all of my questions, and made sure everything went very smoothly throughout the whole trip!! We loved the people that we met at our lodges, the lodges were anbsolutly gorgeous, and the animals sightings were phenomenal!! Shinde and Chobe Game Lodge were fantastic.
Everything was great at Shinde......the lodge & the game viewing. We liked Chobe because the Elephant viewing from the river offered a refreshing change from the game drives. Kanana was lovely. The new lodge was wonderful. Game viewing not as good as Shinde. There was less water at Kanana.
Dinaka was OK, not as good as the others & we could have done without that stop.

We loved all the lodges that Anna picked for us. Each one had something special to offer and they were all so beautifully decorated. Our guides and staff were creative, talented and warm. It was a very special week for us where we got to relax, rest and see epic wildlife!

I chose Okavango Delta Explorations to book my safari in Botswana because the company is run by a small group of white women who grew up in Botswana so I knew they’d understand both African and Western culture. From the first email I sent Louise Fitzgerald, the Managing Director, my inquiries were met with warmth, wit and innovative suggestions.

Okavango Delta Explorations offered several days of cultural activities in the town Maun, Botswana before the safari began which not all safari companies do. So clients start the actual safari more rested after the long flights and with shared cultural activities to talk about.

I had a medical emergency due to my own health condition the night I arrived and spent two nights in a small private hospital where I got excellent care. And in a moment that will always touch me, Louise spent the night on the couch in the hospital room so I wasn’t alone. Her funny stories and kindness cheered me during this fraught experience. Louise continued to check in on my health over the next two weeks I spent in Africa.

When I book my next safari, it will definitely be with Okavango Delta Explorations.

Our trip, organised by Okavango Delta Explorations was wonderful from start to finish. It was planned to suit our interests and everything went smoothly. We also had two helicopter transfers which were a highlight. Both lodges offered excellent rooms, food and friendly staff and our guides, particularly at Amber River Lodge was fantastic. Five fantastic days.

This was our first tour in Africa and we were so glad that it was organised by Okavango Delta Explorations. Their knowledge of Botswana, South Africa and adjoining countries is second to none. Every single element of our trip was considered and attended to very well. Communication was timely and always clear and caring. We are recommending them to family and friends and look forward to planning more trips with Louise!

Attention to detail, open to traveler input, selection of quality accommodations - all contributed to making this trip an exceptional one. A small group is always a plus. Staff at hotel and lodges were wonderful. This is a trip I will remember fondly and for a long time.

Louise is the best, she looks after us all very well and makes sure we are comfortable and happy travellers.

Extraordinary trip- all of the details were arranged from start to finish. Really appreciated having all the plans set up so all we had to do was enjoy! We loved meeting the local people and seeing the animals in their wild environment. It was the trip of a lifetime! Thank you!

This was my second safari with Okavango Delta Explorations, and it was even better than the first. I look forward to booking with them again in the future!

Firstly, I found you on Google. A wonderful website. I was interest in a mobile camping safari ..more interested in the ecosystem, and all that was there, than focusing on just viewing the animals. Our guide, K.G. was a tracker, birder, and a warm knowledgeable guide. Five other, like minded people were also great companions for the Safari. We viewed 14 lions leapards, wild dogs hippos, elephants etc and dozens of birds. This was a perfect fit for me exceeding all expectations. Natalie

Everything went off as expected from airport pick up to drop off.
The staff at both camps were very efficient and attentive, with guides being very knowledgable. The food was excellent with different flavours. I got some recipes from them. Our accommodation was very comfortable and spacious.
The game drives at Sable Alley found us a good array of animals most times up close. The Leopard sighting being the highlight.
The water safaris at Camp Okavango were very interesting and good birdlife viewings.
The traditional singing before dinner at Camp Okavango was a nice way to start the meals

Louise at Okavango Delta Explorations was first class with regard to booking our safaris. From the initial contact to the follow up on our return we were provided with expert knowledge and a five star service. Louise booked us three safaris (Arathusa in Sabi Sands, Nxai Pan & Kwara in Botswana) along with the small flights to and from the camps. Louise has first hand knowledge of the safari camps so was able to guide us to the ones that would be perfect for us. All the documentation we received was so helpful along with the app where you can keep up to date with your travel plans and all the information needed. We would happily book with Louise again and we are already looking forward to another trip. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.
