Disappointed with OctaGST Lite – Major Features Missing and Data Inaccuracy
I was a satisfied user of their earlier product, NANO GST, which was efficient, affordable, and offered unlimited GSTIN access with essential features like GSTR-1 view/download in JSON and PDF, and full taxpayer details (address, email, contact).
Additionally, I added a taxpayer who converted from Composition to Regular in June 2024. Even though the GST portal shows the updated status, OctaGST still lists them as a Composition taxpayer, with no option to refresh or correct the status
However, after switching to OctaGST Lite, I am quite disappointed. The Lite version costs 3x more than NANO but limits access to just 50 GSTINs. Critical features are missing – no option to view GSTR-1, no taxpayer contact info, and no access to Composition taxpayers' data.
The most serious issue is data inaccuracy. When uploading 12 months of GSTR-2A JSON files, some months' data randomly go missing. This happened with 6–7 taxpayers out of 20, and I had to re-upload individual months. This is unacceptable for a compliance tool.
OctaGST needs serious improvements – accurate data handling and restoration of all NANO features (and more). Currently, not worth the price.
