Paid for expensive laminate flooring instead they gave me cheap yellow carpet. The fitters were having a bubble they just place it on top of the floor and said even bob the builder cant do a better job than that.

We had used Ocean Flooring twice now. Both times Andy was really helpful and the fitters were friendly and professional.

This is the second time we have used ocean flooring for their carpet fitting service. We have had good experiences both times. The sales team (Andy) were very helpful and approachable. The fitters were excellent. No complaints.

Very fair price, work done on time and to a high standard. Good communication and the end result was much appreciated.

Contacted Andy at Ocean for help with stair carpet. He bought around several books to choose from and was great at giving advice and guidance eg bring honest about how a certain type of carpet wd look on stairs in a small space etc. Very patient. Sent more samples to help us make our decision. Once we chose, date confirmed, deposit paid. Fitters turned up when they said they would. Good job fitting carpet. Follow up call from Andy to make sure we were happy. Wd recommend.

We received a top class service from start to finish which included a request from us to delay the fitting of our new office carpet. Everybody that we dealt with was courteous and helpful and we felt confident that the job would be high quality.

We had seagrass laid in our two bedrooms and stairway and it's only now seeing how beautifully laid it is that I realise the same carpet put down in our last property looked terrible :-0!! A friend said it looked "Poured on" and it does!! A really lovely job we're so happy.... Everybody at Ocean Flooring is a real pleasure to deal with, professional,reliable and a really nice bunch of people....having discovered them they're now the only company who'll be dealing with our flooring from now on....Thank you to all at Ocean Flooring...Great job done :-))

The process of choosing the carpet was excellent. It’s lovely to be able to choose at home to get a feel for how the carpet will look in the different rooms. Phil gave us options within our budget.

The fitting was split over 3 days to allow for furniture removal and it all went to plan. We’re really happy with the quality of the carpet and the fitting and would definitely recommend.

Andy (adviser) and Gary (fitter) each did a superb job with designing and fitting an LVT floor throughout our house. It was our first time with Ocean Flooring, we are impressed, and we won't hesitate to use them again and to recommend them to others. Some job highlights, none of which were a problem for them:
– We chose four different LVT styles from two different manufacturers.
– We chose three different laying patterns, including bordered herringbone, linear, and staggered bond.
– They had to deal with four different subfloor types, used two different adhesives for sunny/shady areas, and successfully achieved flush transitions everywhere, i.e. no threshold hardware needed to be fitted.
– We were rather fussy and pernickety, wanting to get quite small details just so, both in advance and in minor snagging e.g. a repeating tile change here and there, a threshold adjustment. All handled with a smile.
– We wanted no scotia trim, and hadn't removed skirtings; the trimming to the edges was excellent.
– The fitter chose to match and perfectly align the tiles across a height transition between areas within a herringbone-laid room; this really made the floor look excellent.

Total professionals, and a very happy customer.

Ocean Flooring fitted carpets for us on our stairs, landing and two bedrooms. Having never purchased carpet before we approached Ocean Flooring on a recommendation and their advice on all aspects was great. They ensured we chose the right carpet and underlay to meet the needs of each area. Having had the carpet a few days we realised the wrong underlay had been used in part but the team were really quick to rectify it, coming back the day after I spoke to Ocean Flooring about it and fixing it within an hour. We couldn’t be more pleased with the customer service, quality and price of our carpets, highly recommend.

In short, I really recommend Ocean Flooring, there was plenty of choice, good expertise and advice that felt neutral/objective, patience with my indecision, friendly service, flexibility with fitting and a high quality finish.
For those that like a longer more detailed review...read on!...I recently had my large 2 bed, semi basement flat re-floored with engineered wood. I took an age to chose, they brought me three separate rounds of samples and let me keep them for a good stretch so I could really decide and then did not appear annoyed when I went for the very first one I had liked! They also provided really big sample boards which was helpful as you get a better idea. I got a bunch of quotes from different people, everyone suggested different methods - click/not click/float it/glue it/get the thicker one with more sanding opportunities/make sure to get the one with the layers running different ways etc. etc. so I ended up more confused than the start. Ocean flooring (and specifically Phil) were the only ones that answered all my questions and took the time to take me through all the various compromises/options that are made at the different price points and helped me really make the best decision for me without a hard sell or trying to up-sell me at all. In the end Phil even threw in a DPM for me so that I got everything I wanted in my original budget. Then the fitting - because I was scheduling it round other renovations they agreed to do it in two separate fittings which ended up being 6 months apart and made the whole thing a lot more difficult because the bit I asked them to start with was the bit that would have been done last in an idea world. For both fittings the team was super efficient and hard working, they helped me get the last of my heavy furniture out of the way and on one occasion just worked round something. In the first fitting there was something unexpected in one room which really set the timeline back. Not only did they refuse my offer of splitting the cost or at least paying the extra labour, but they moved heaven and earth to get it done for me to fit in to original deadline. With the second fitting, I made a cheeky request that they used the left over wood to put a surface on a kitchen island for me. They not only did it, but put a lovely trim round the edges, and then came back to add an upright so it looked prettier and silica the gap for me. You cant ask more than that! Because of covid, I left the team with my keys and went to stay with my bubble - they were a hundred percent trustworthy, kept me updated, very respectful of my neighbours and left everything really clean and tidy before they left.
The finish on the floor is great, I love it, it was in budget and the experience was stress free and friendly. The best thing is that I have full confidence that if there is anything in the future - like I drop a can of paint or rip out a cupboard and need the floor to match they'll do everything they can to help me out in fixing it.

5 stars is not enough! I don't think I have dealt with people so friendly, polite, thorough, efficient and reliable ever. Not only that, the value for money they offer is excellent. I wish they did replacement windows as well, as I need one So far I've had 2 quotes from companies obviously don't give a toss, so I'll keep looking. I'm actually gutted that Ocean don't do them 'cause it would be a no brainer for me. Highly recommended.
