Used this company website free service for robo calls on my landline until probably a week ago. Kept wondering why I didn’t get the usual one ring which meant their website had caught the call. Was no... See more

Nomorobo is as USELESS as FTC Do Not Call Registry! Sadly, despite using Nomorobo, their program can only block few numbers (which means peace & quiet, but only a few months). After that, somehow... See more

Nomorobo-Fraudulent Billing

On my October cell phone statement, I noticed duplicate charges for my Nomorobo app subscription. I reported this to Nomorobo on 10/10/19 and requested a refund. I reached out to them repeatedly on 10/11/19, 10/22/19, 10/30/19 and on 11/12/19. On 11/22/19, I was notified by a representative that he located the duplicate charge and issued a refund. Instead, there was no refund and the subscription was canceled in its entirety. I contacted them again on 11/29/19 and 12/02/19 but have received no response. They have fraudulently double billed for a service that they in turned canceled completely and they now will not respond to my attempts to reach them.

I love this app

I love this app . I used to get calls daily. My calls have decreased so much that I don't even think about robo calls any more. And they intercept calls so that I do not have to deal with them as well.
Thanks so much , you are a stress reliever and life saver.

A worthwhile service

My house phone is through Xfinity, which provides free Nomorobo service. And it works! The day before Thanksgiving, I received 12 robocalls from the same number (1 every half hour). Nomorobo blocked every one of them, plus some additional calls not from the same number. I was so annoyed with the phone ringing so often that I unplugged it. Today, which is technically a holiday, I still have the phone unplugged, but Nomorobo is doing its job. According to my call record, it blocked 3 calls, this time from different numbers. I have it for my cell phone as well because robocalls seem to be increasing, and it has blocked all of them.

It works for me.

I don't understand all the negative reviews. I started using nomorobo in August and have gone from having 10-15 spam calls a day to one a day.

Pretty much useless

Pretty much useless. I get 6-8 robocalls a day. NOMOROBO blocks maybe one every couple of weeks. I'm closing in on 1000 numbers I've manually blocked over the past two years. The contact number is also useless. My carrier is Verizon through Blue Ridge Communications. They can't help either. Truly thought this would put an end to the nonsense. And I think the glowing reviews are written by people affiliated with NOMOROBO.

Works great on my landline

I can't comment on how it works with cell phones, nor can I comment on their customer service since I've never needed to contact them. That said, I've been using NMR on my landline for six months and it's fantastic. I track call history through my provider dashboard and NMR has blocked 80-85% of unwanted calls. When one does get through I report the number.

The hard part is breaking the habit of reaching for the phone on the first ring. Now we just ignore it until the second ring.

I highly recommend NMR for landlines, especially since it's free.

Terrible customer service, spotty success

Of the many robo calls that still get through, nearly 100% of those show up as already reported robo calls when I share with app to make the report. Instead of giving option to block the number & report, the option is to allow the number! Why am I getting calls from numbers that have a already been reported & are known robo calls?!? Good question, but unfortunately I STILL haven’t received a reply from Nomorobo after contacting them a month ago. Terrible customer service, spotty success rate. At $2.99 a month or whatever it is, I guess it’s better than nothing.

Don’t do it! It was supposed to be a few dollars a month. Nope. I blocked one number and they hit my CC for $44.16 stay far, far away from this group.

I continue to get several telemarking / robo / spammer calls everyday ... I am getting less ,but it has not completely stopped in the least bit ! Today nomorobo missed a call that identified as Avon Park, FL on my caller ID with the number 863-238-8487 ...
I did not answer, but after blocking my number, I returned the call and got a hang up on their end & a busy signal ... I did some online research and found out that this number is a known spammer number of medium risk ... I also continuously receive calls that only identify as Haines City, FL and Lakeland, FL

Honestly I do their work for them

Honestly I do their work for them by reporting robo and scammer calls to them.
.
Ive had it for 2 years and still get on average 3-5 daily calls . If its a known robo call Nomorobo lets it through but tells me it is a robo caller.
They ask if I want it blocked or identified as a robo call - how about giving me both options - block it and identify it.
Finally carriers will be providing this service - verizon says it has free service but it really isnt. The reality is phone carriers have the technology and now they will be using it as they are working with the US government to stop robo calling.

Charged during trial period

Three days into the two week trial period, I was charged for a subscription even though I tried to cancel it. Although this is both an Apple problem and a Nomorobo problem, neither company has done anything to correct the problem and refund my money. Ultimately, Nomorobo is responsible since they are using a third party (Apple) to provide the service and collect money and they have the power to require that the money be refunded. By the way, the reason I wanted to cancel the app. Is because it was not as effective as another app which I purchased for catching and stopping spam calls on my iPhone.

Works OK But No Support

Works pretty well. Some calls do get through but not many. You can report the ones that do. Sometimes it seems to take a while for the reported numbers to get put in. Worst part is NO customer support. Only FAQ’s...no ability to contact anyone with the company at any time!

Was Skeptical, But So Far It's Great

I was skeptical about giving this a try because of all the negative reviews, but I set up Nomorobo on my office landline a week ago. It's an RCN VOIP line. Set-up was easier than I expected it to be on RCNs end of the process. Maybe 5 minutes on phone with customer service.

I was receiving 3-5 robo spam and scam calls every weekday for a couple of years. Since Nomorobo set up, not one spam robocall has gotten through, while legit callers have been reaching me without a problem, as far as I know. I did receive 1 legit robocall during the week, from my physician's office to schedule an appointment. It's only been a week, but it's good to be rid of all the annoying calls.

If the service stops working, I will post an updated review but, so far, I couldn't be more pleased.

Update:

Two weeks later, Nomorobo has continued to function flawlessly.

After setting up Nomorobo on Xfinity…

After setting up Nomorobo on Xfinity voip, I continue to receive 6-10 calls per day. I immediately report them to Nomorobo. I believe I am working for them with no compensation!
Calls are 90% ‘Anonymous’ caller ID with local and international numbers, likely all bogus.
It’s obvious they are technically lagging the scammers who originate these calls. It’s a worthless service.
