Waste of time

Set it up at 8pm. Deleted it the next day. It was blocking important phone calls from my health insurance company. Waste of time. My home phone has a blocking feature that works. And, I could set up blocking on the Optimum website.

Wonderful job!

I signed up for nomorobo in April of 2020. They have done a wonderful job! When I was getting calls that I could not block, I emailed them, a real person responded quickly to guide me, and they were able to stop the calls! I cannot say enough good things about them...

This product DOES NOT WORK

This product DOES NOT WORK. It's hard to believe that Comcast would use a product and push it on their customers. Oh wait, it's Comcast. I guess I understand now.

Worst Customer Support Ever

This review is strictly for their customer support. We've had Nomorobo for our cell phones for about 8 months. At the the beginning of the year we got new phones. The app was transferred over and worked fine on one of the phones but not the other. I have contacted customer support via their website and and have a reference number..I have sent additional requests via the canned email with the reference number asking about the status. It's been 6 weeks and the problem is not resolved and I have yet to hear back from anyone at customer support. This is the worst customer support I have ever had to put up with.
UPDATE: Right about the 8 week mark I was contacted by customer service and the person I dealt with resolved the issue and I received a refund. The person I dealt with provided very good customer service and that individual gets 4 stars.

The NOMORobo service is great - but Beware the Corrupt nomorobo spoofers

I have been using the NOMORobo service for about 9 months.
I got it through Xfinity for free! (I do not have any business affiliation with ROBO-Call).
I got it when I was getting at least six robo calls and hour, and working full time in my home. It got to the point where I would cancel the land line forever - if Xfinity could not stop it!
Some of the six hourly calls had my phone number as the caller ID. I have an adult son (living on the other coast) with the same 1st & last name. Some of the calls had a caller ID that was my (&/or his) name!
The service began to work very well, but a few calls that I reported continued for a few days, so I wrote an e-mail to robo-call about the problem and after several days, they responded that they handle thousands of problem calls weekly and that they would eventually stop the one that persisted after I reported it - and within a few days they finally stopped it.
The articles I have read in the Wall Street Journal report that millions of these calls are being made every day - it is a huge problem for everyone, particularly with land line phones. (I do not have NOMOROBO with my cell - through AT&T - and I guess that I am very lucky - because I never receive robo-calls on that cell number.)
A few weeks ago I received a call from a party which claimed to be apple customer service - but who was actually a spoofer - who was reporting to me that Apple had detected that a party in an Eastern European country had obtained all of my I-Phone ID information and was attempting to access my banking information. (I had only received my 1st I-phone a few weeks before, replacing the Androids I started with years before.) It turned out that the calling party had stolen the Apple caller ID phone number listed on the Apple site (!!) a few days before, and when I contacted Apple (via E-mail to their site) Apple confirmed that their number (on the Apple site) had just been stolen! That Robo caller was attempting to get my bank information (under the guise of being Apple - using Log Me In - a company where my son-in-law works) so that they could begin transferring money from my accounts to the thieve's accounts. I called the FBI but they get hundreds of these calls all day and would not join me in an attempt to trace the call back to the thieve's location.
I suspect that "the people" who are providing terrible ROBO-call service (i.e., reviewed in this site) are not actually with NOMOROBO-call, and are continuing to bill for fraudulent services because they spoofed their customer in the 1st place. Those victimized customers need to contact (the authentic) NOMOROBO - other than by their phone number - to validate their identity.

Wish my experience with NOMOROBO was better

I signed up with NOMOROBO March 2019. Almost a year later, I still receive on average 15 - 20 ROBO calls per week. My guess is that I see one or two calls per week blocked by NOMOROBO. Some of the calls I receive appear on NOMOROBO's website as a known ROBO call, so it baffles me that as a NOMOROBO subscriber the ROBO call gets through to my phone. I wish my experience with NOMOROBO was better.

The app never did block any calls and…

The app never did block any calls and would periodically stop working all together. In fact it killed my android phone when I tried to update it because it had stopped working again. I notified the company to cancel and they claimed not to be able to find my account. However they were able to find it to charge me for another year's service on a dead phone which they did without any prior notice. I do not feel they are an honest company. If you want a good app get Youmail.com. It actually works and they don't rip you off.

Waste of time!

Worked pretty good the first two days. Third day spotty. Day 4 didn’t work at all. I updated it at least once a day per noticed. No a chance I’m paying for this crap. Fix it ir find another line of work.

Hasn't kept up with technology

I've had Nomorobo for a few years. It worked well initially but they have not been able to keep up with technology. I now receive at least 20 spam calls per day that are either neighbor spoofing or 9 digit numbers which Nomorobo cannot block. They request that I report these numbers, which I do, but nothing is getting done and I am getting zero feedback from them. I have my ringer off basically making my phone (cable landline) useless.

THE WORST

THE WORST! Every time day, which is many times daily, I get a Robocall most are not blocked. What is frustrating is you can see these are computer-generated calls since they start with a V followed by 15 numbers on the caller ID. Yet NOMOROBO ignores them. I email them asking "Is anybody there?" I also check each call on other Robo websites sites and while they show up as Robo calls Nomorobo is out to lunch. And finally what is really weird is many of the robocalls show up as robocalls on the Nomorobo website while they did not block them. I've checked my account and it's still active.

Is Nomorobo making Robo calls??!

I just received a robo call. #760-487-0615.
When I looked up the number, Nomorobo was at the top of the Google search....I suspect Nomorobo actually makes the robo calls, then sells their great service.
I wouldn't doubt this is the standard for most of these company's.

Blessed Relief!

I work at home, and it was getting downright crazy with all the robo calls coming through. Constant interruptions, and worse, sometimes they spoofed my own phone number. The Do Not Call Registry is a joke to them. So I signed up for Nomorobo through my phone service, and the calls have been drastically reduced. Sometimes one or two still get through, but I can just report them and then they go away. Blessed peace and quiet! And best of all, this service is free for landlines!

And for those who are giving negative reviews, I want to first of all say that I do not work for Nomorobo. Second of all, when I first signed up I neglected to do the final step in activating the service, and then wondered why I was still getting so many robocalls still. I was all set to give a negative review, but when I contacted my carrier, I realized that it was my own fault it wasn't working. Please make sure you have actually activated the service according to the instructions!

Works 25% of the time, but it’s free so better then nothing.

This service blocks about 25% of the “crap calls” as I call them. I got this for free with Xfinity VoIp. I’ve always kept a land line or voip phone for work or to give out when I have to for miscellaneous stuff, which is all the stuff that sells your number & information causing these calls. I never give my cell number except to family & friends. I get about 1-2 crap calls every 1-2 months maybe. Xfinity allows >1 number per account, so I set up another phone number to be my crap number.
