The quality of the INOVA STS headlamp in gerneral is good, the light is bright.
The headband attachment does not last very long. When it's broken, the Inova STS can only used as a torch. It's my 2nd. Inova STS...and same experience again.
I will NOT buying any more products from Nite IZE. I' very disappointed!!!
I LOVE this company - ESPECIALLY their customer service!!! I have been using many of their products for years, but did not even realize how many things they carry (which was not surprising).
Anytime I have an issue with a product (I love their flashlights especially), all I do is call them up, somebody (Sheila - thank you Sheila) ACTUALLY answers the phone every time, and my issues taken care of, 1-2-3. I might also add that the only time I call is to order another one because I constantly lose them and they are that good of a product.
Anyway, thank you Nite Ize
The new T4RE flashlight sucks!
I have been sold on Inova flashlights since 2006 and have been using inova flashlights for almost 20 years.
I worked as an automotive mechanic after finishing high-school for aviation mechanics and then community college for aviation and automotive in 2001 where I worked at Sears Auto and a engine shop due to Sept. 11th. Back then around 2001, I was using the old huge rechargeable maglight as a automotive mechanic. In 2006 I got into aviation as a mechanic where I started using the Inova T2, T3, and my favorite the T4. I have been carrying this flashlight on my hip for almost 20 years. While working in the airlines, I volunteered as a biomedical technician for free rather than go to school, went to a CDL school for my CDL, and in 2014 went to a community college for Diesel mechanics changing engines, working on farm equipment ect. In all these fields my T4 went with me 365 days a year. As a aviation technician, I prefer nightshift so I'm always using my flashlight in the dark working on aircraft. The T4 has changed many times in the years, first.....the standard one beam light, second the two beam hi and low, third the high and low with the strobe, and fourth...the 3 beam with strobe, and now the T4Re 1300 lumens model that sucks! The T4-T4RD models were the best flashlights ever! The difference is the older T4 models vs the T4RE garbage.... if I'm working on a engine in the dark or in a dark compartment of the aircraft I can run the old T4 flashlight for 10 hrs on my shift vs the new T4re model that dies out after 3 hours. With the old T4 flashlight, I can go a week without charging it. I love the look and feel on the Inova flashlights as I use the old T3 model as a backup just in case. I purchased the T5 flashlight as well .... pure garbage 3 123a batteries which are non rechargeable and if you put rechargeable batteries in it the flashlight doesn't work because the batteries are a hair smaller in size and the batteries get stuck in the light due to the tight diameter. Ever since Inova was purchased from nite- ize in 2010 the quality has went down and you have to fight for warranty. Many people rely on the old Inova brand such a police officers, miners, mechanics, military and others. Nite-ize you guys need fo go back to the Inova quality and do more research and development and fire the marketing department manager or something because the new lights are all garbage compared to the old Inova quality. Bring back the T4, T4R, T4RD models and throw the new T4RE model in the garbage. It sucks when I'm working on an aircraft and my T4RE flashlight keeps dying all the time, and it's way overpriced $130-160, Bring back the old T4 flashlight and old T4 battery or go out of business because long-term customers know the quality is garbage now but we love the flashlight construction but runtime is garbage now as well as warranty which the company is trying to rid lifetime. As a mechanic I think your company is blind about the newer replacement models over the past years which is why I wrote this review and new customers won't realize this because they never experienced the quality of the older Inova lights. Go back to the older T4 330, 571, and 850 lumens light and older T4 lithium ion battery. When my T4RD model broke, they wouldn't warranty it but wanted to give me 50% off the new T4RE garbage model. I had no problems with repairing or replacing my flashlight for over 20 years until this year in 2025. Bring the old Inova quality back! When you have something good don't mess with it. As the saying goes....if it ain't broke, don't fix it!
Warning they don’t recognise their warranty, I never neglected or abused my flashlight and when it stopped working they said it’s old and it’s lifetime is up plus they don’t stock parts or batteries for that unit, I payed $165 for that light years ago because of the warranty and now they snub their noise at me. This company doesn’t value their customers! After they have your money you get the old tail light warranty. Once they can’t see your taillights the warranty is over. What a joke then they have the the audacity to offer you a coupon for 50% off a new one . Everyone knows that things are marked up 100% so by giving me 50% off they lose nothing except a valued (not so valued)customer.
Love their quirky products. Bought 2x 0 series gated keyrings from Nite Ize UK, very happy with them. Postage only £2 and delivery pretty quick. Also buy their products through Amazon UK and USA.
I bought the Nite Ize - Radiant Rechargeable Flashlight - MLTLR-07S-R6. However the product doesn't work as advertised: It has no memory function and always turns on in party mode. Additionally the on-button is so hard to press that the light can't be operated with just one hand. This makes it useless for my purpose as lightweight tent light. Service didn't respond to my message. Now I even have to pay for shipping to return the defunct light, and the return page tells me that I won't be reimbursed the original shipping cost which even violates European consumer laws. Huge disappointment!
Bought my Nite size S biner clip earlier this year at the airport shop in Thailand. It started to rust only after 2 months. As they tout a warranty, I contacted NiteIze explaining the situation. They NEVER bothered to reply. I contacted them again. Again, NO Reply. I also contacted my bank who had no joy getting in contact with them or the shop. AVOID. The product is not what it states and the guarantee is a hoax. Am super disappointed as paid more for a clip to use on extensive travel, and it didn’t even last.
Outstanding Customer Service. Had a problem with one of their products and got a replacement free of charge. I was not asked to write this review, but wanted to share my positive experience. Communication with associate (Zach) was super friendly and quick, too.
I own 10 plus lights from this company and they have proven to be the best with the most amazing customer service.
I always seem to replace the split rings that attach the name tags. this has lasted a few months and the regular connectors only last a few weeks. Will purchase again!!
