Shout out to Juleska who displayed excellent customer service skills, always smiling and very helpful to the customers even though it was extremely busy when we arrived. The return was super fast. WORST RENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER – AVOID NECTAR AT ALL COSTS
This was by far the worst company I’ve ever dealt with in all my years of travel. I booked through Priceline thinking I was getting a fair deal — boy, was I wrong. Nectar gave me a car that was in poor condition from the start. It was barely functional, felt unsafe, and clearly hadn’t been properly maintained.
To make things worse, their customer service was completely useless. Every time I tried to get help or clarification, I was met with rudeness, unprofessionalism, or just plain silence. No one took responsibility for anything.
They also overcharged me — I ended up paying more than what I had agreed to on Priceline, with no clear explanation. And as a final slap in the face, they kept my security deposit at the end of the trip for absolutely no reason. No damage, no violation of terms, just silence and refusal to return the money.
This company is shady, dishonest, and completely untrustworthy. If you're traveling in Puerto Rico, do yourself a favor and stay far away from Nectar. There are plenty of better rental options on the island — don't let them ruin your trip like they did mine.

This is the most unorganized rental car company. It offers a shuttle, but doesn't say it's every hr. We waited 3 hrs and were unable to get on the shuttle. People arrived and just pushed their way thorough. We waited 3hrs in the cold and were never able to get on the shuttle. This was the worst experience I have ever had renting a car. We tried to call and cancel the car, and there was no answer. This place is a rip off. I can't even get ahold of anyone to get my money back.

Worst experience I've ever had with a rental car agency. They shuttled my family 20 minutes away from airport to an area where there is nowhere to go- and feels unsafe- then they proceed to charge you 4x more than original quote with no explanation. Person at the desk was watching a soccer game while talking to me and wouldn't provide any clarity on what the charges were and what was happening. I decided to push through and dispute the additional charges with my credit card company- I consider this group to be fraud. Stay far away.

I am over 50 years old and have been renting cars every single month for the past 30 years with my company. I have never experienced such a scam than this company out of Miami. They tell you it’s only $20 a day but you don’t walk out of there without spending $150 a day minimum. Do not rent from these thieves no matter if it was free.

Would NOT recommend. My flight got delayed so I called hours before to let them that I would be picking up the car late. I was told that it was not an issue and that they would make a note on my account that I would be picking up late. When I arrived, there were about 15 people in line, 75% of them ahead of me walked out without a rental car because their reservation had been canceled on them. Sure enough, when I got to the counter, since it had been over 1 hr since my reservation time passed, my reservation was canceled and they said there was nothing they could do. During the time I was waiting in line, am elderly man, a lady with a newborn, and a family with small children all had their reservations canceled and left to find alternate forms of transportation, at 1am. This place is scamming people!

I rented a vehicle on Expedia
I rented a vehicle on Expedia, a compact SUV. Total charge was SUPPOSED to be $232.09. I got to the place at 2-3am, late flight. After about 45 minutes of waiting, a few gentlemen walk into the office, now packed with about 20 people waiting to pick up their reservations. Much to my surprise, the $232, for some reason, turned into $400.50. On top of that, they told me they would have to hold $250, to be returned after the trip...problem is, they charged me $250...twice. Here we are, a few days later, nothing has been refunded. Literally the worst experience I've ever had by a rental car agency.

Rented a car from Nextcar in San Juan Puerto Rico. Worst experience ever!! Had to wait for a very long time to get our vehicule even though we had a reservation.
Best part is that 5 weeks after returning the car without any issue or complain from Nextcar, we are STILL waiting to get our $250 deposit refund back.

Rented a car from Nextcar using expedia and when I went to pick it up they didn't have cars available. I had to rent a car from Avis which was in the same facility. Now they refuse to refund me my money after they accepted my reservation and didn't have the car when i went to Nextcar. Next car is a scam. They are stealing money. Go to a more reputable brand.

I’m still fighting since then to get my $300 deposit refunded, the car was returned in perfect condition and the contract was closed.
Be careful that the cost that is showing on the internet reservation is not the one you will be end up paying.

On December 31, 2024, I rent a car from this company to return the car on January 3, 2025. I had paid the rent online on December 7, 2024. When I get to the store on 10200 Calle Celestial Marginal, Los Angeles Lote B, Carolina, PR 00979 I got a surprise charge of $543.00 mind you I already $334 for the rental from those $534, $250 is the deposit. This company apparently includes shuttle No liars the charge you $49 convenience charge for the shuttle and more charges that other companies don't. Now the issue is I return this car on Jan 3 as of today Feb 7 I have not received my deposit back all they do is give me the round around, before I left Puerto Rico I call the company and ask about it the stated is 15 from the day I return the car which they told me I return my car Jan 5 . I told them that my car was return Jan 3 around 1:00 P.M and the person I spoke to said that my rental was still open, and no one had initiated to close my rental that he will start right now and allow them to 5 to 15 business day business day no weekend or holiday my return should've been on my bank account on Jan 28. On Jan 28 I call again this company and a female agent I spoke to said that indeed the 15 business days has passed, and they have to open a claim so finances can release my deposit. Now I gave them the week I call today and the male agent I spoke to stated that I got to give it more time because they have to many claims and I need to allow them more than a week for them to work on my claim he didn't even wanted to look at my confirmation booking I had to ask him to check because he didn't want to check my claim and to stated without even typing that he had found my claim and apparently my deposit is already pending but without a date that it will be send .Now please carefully consider renting from this company because is not worth the headache and you don't want to be Suprise with a higher charge when you go to pick up your car. Also there is no email or phone number to speak directly to finances or whatever team that is working on claim I didn't even had a claim number to know for a fact that I really had a claim and that the money will return to me.

I will put no star if I could. My reservation made many days before my trip ended with no car after 1:30 of wait and stupid questions and similitudes searches on their computer. Finally asking insurances as I was full covered and that triple the price I had on line with their website. AVOID AVOID. We had the chance to leave and go close to FOX.

Have been standing in line for over an hour. They have only served 3 customers. It seems like they get you here and refuse to serve you so you go to one of the other companies in the building( most of which we’ve never heard of). They charge 4-12 times as much but you’re stuck here. Pro all the same company. 4th person just went up. One hour and fifteen minutes now.
