I purchased the Barclay suede driver last year and absolutely love it. It has held up really well so when I saw there was a black leather variation I was excited to try them! The shoes look and feel great, but after only wearing them three times there are significant signs of wear. The rubber bottom “nubs” are being worn down at an alarming rate, the leather is discoloring as if there were months upon months of abuse. The shoes have literally only been walked in from the parking garage and down 5 blocks to work then back in a major city. Would I recommend this shoe? Absolutely not. Do I recommend the barclay suede driver? Absolutely.

The absolute best at your price point. Not even close. I have 4 Chelsea’s, Kurt’s, and a pair of black shoes. Love your work. Keep putting out great products!

The new republic shoes are a great value. I rotate several pairs in different styles and they have held up well.

I have two pairs of chelsea boots from New Republic and they are the best! I have tried other brands and there is nothing in this price range, or even up to $400 boots, that compares! I get loads of compliments and have had a bunch of friends buy them because of mine! Get the chelsea boots on your feet!!

So I saw an ad on Instagram for New Republic and decided to take a chance and order a few things. All I can say is WOW! I am so happy with all the shoes and ties I ordered. The shoes fit perfectly, are super stylish, and an excellent value for the price. I’ve gotten so many compliments on the stuff I ordered and I must admit that I look really good!
