Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 461 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall, finding the new app and website extremely frustrating, useless, messy, and impossible to navigate. Many experienced functional issues, including login problems, account access difficulties, and trouble checking tickets or finding information. Reviewers were also highly dissatisfied with the new prize structure, feeling that lower prizes were insulting and the overall value had significantly decreased. Frequent technical problems, such as website downtime, login errors, and app malfunctions, were reported. Users found the navigation illogical and the design amateurish, hindering their ability to check tickets, find results, or manage numbers. Some reviewers also felt the company's practices were unfair, citing concerns about the odds on instant win games and a general feeling of dissatisfaction.

At the risk of sounding crude, the new lottery app is a total load of sh*t! Lots of issues that were never a problem before but my main bugbear is trying to find my tickets to check. Why can't you pu... See more

I think the revised prize is an insult for the lower prizes, £1 for matching 2 numbers when the ticket price is £2. I know they say there are 2 chances of winning but one would have thought keep the p... See more

"Something went wrong"
Repeatedly cannot sign in. When I can sign in I have an "unconfirmed" purchase, which has been there for months.
The App simply doesn't work.
I have deleted and reinstalled the app several times to no avail.
I have just deleted the app for the last time and will, on the odd occasion I remember, buy a ticket from a shop.

Rip off Lottery

After playing the lottery ever since it started, I will not be playing it again £10 for 3 numbers it's not worth risking £2 for. I will use the Irish lottery the odds are far better, or even Ladbrookes lottery.

The national lottery is designed to…

The national lottery is designed to exploit the poor with offers of release from their financial worries. In reality it is deliberately designed to maximise takings for the lottery provider, and minimise payouts to the infinitely tiny few that win. The stated odds on most of their instant win games are intentionally misleading, leading to most players thinking that the odds given are the odds on them winning a cash prize, they are not. The odds shown are the chances of players winning something, be that a free spin, and extra symbol or a free extra game ticket. It IS NOT the odds of winning a cash prize only, the odds on that would be so appalling, very few would play any of the games the lottery offers. Ultimately the lottery is what is known in the gaming/gambling industry as a "muggs bet", with a large percentage of the stake money people pay going towards very well targeted advertising designed to convince "muggs" to play more. Unfortunately the lottery is very successful at getting people to part with their money in exchange for almost zero chance of winning anything at all. It is morally corrupt, exploitative, and hides behind a veneer of charitable giving to worthy causes.

Why have they also halved the prize…

Why have they also halved the prize amounts on the hotpicks? Yes, hotpicks works off lotto numbers drawn, but, it's a separate game altogether, and any monies raised by playing hotpicks has never been used to fund main lotto prizes.

Prize money rip off.

The prize money payouts being substantially reduced means I will be reducing my stakes substantially, winning a pound for 2 numbers and a tenner for 3 is nothing short of insulting, don't think this mob will last long.
