WARNING

WARNING: SCAM COMPANY!!!
Over the last year this company has robbed me of two Big Win VIP subscriptions - paid in full and no Big Win entries! I had to cancel my Direct Debit for the VIP only to find they have cancelled my DD to All Or Nothing.
I thought this company was better than most but I am deeply disappointed with the Health Lottery. Unhealthy!

Catch 22

I wanted to withdraw my (small) winnings from my Health Lottery account to my debit card, but my debit card had expired. But card details couldn't be updated online because the account balance wasn't zero. So I emailed their help desk. After 3 weeks I hadn't received a reply, so I phoned them. I had to listen to Eine Kleine Nachtmusik for rather a long time before I got through, but in the end the person I spoke to was very helpful and deleted the old debit card so I could add the new one.

If there was a 0 zero or

If there was a 0 zero or - minus star, that's what I would have put down. Absolutely disgusted. I set up a Direct debit and have been paying for over several months, but decided last month to cancel it and there is no option on the site to cancel it. When I called the number on their website, no answer. I emailed them and a response was the same generic amswer stating things that I have already attempted that does not work. There is no option in the subscribe area on my platform to cancel the DD. They took another month of payments from my bank and I'm stuck with this nonsense until I find a way to get off their leash. I am disgusted.

There are options to change or renew bank details, but no options to cancel or discontinue a DD. I need this stopped asap. Get me out of this mess please. Someone named Stefan from Customer Support responded to Query 39818 and failed to resolve my query. I feel stolen from.

I would rate my experience as 5 out of…

I would rate my experience as 5 out of 10 overall, but based on this issue alone, it would be 1 star.
I recently had to renew my bank card and was advised that any existing direct debits would continue without issue. However, I then received an email from Health Lottery last week stating that the payment could not be taken.
I contacted your team, and although the details were updated, I was informed that my entry had to be cancelled and set up again. This has resulted in me missing the April draw, which is extremely frustrating.
I also attempted to resolve this myself online last week, but the system advised that I needed to call instead. While the advisor suggested that I could enter the draw separately, that is not the point. My regular entry should have continued without disruption.
My main concern is: what would have happened if I had won during the draw I was unable to enter due to this issue?
Overall, the process should be much simpler and more reliable.

I have been a member of this charity for many years.

I have been a member of this charity for many years, and recently had reason to contact them as I had £270 in my account from past winnings. They said they did not have my bank details to send the money to. ALTHOUGH they take my payments by standing order.
I have tried twice, phoning the number they give for contact. No one answered after waiting 30 minutes. The last time I gave up and have now decided to cancel.
This was on wed the 11th of march,26. From 2.30 to 3pm. Could this be from working at home and school time??
I will now find another charity to support.

It Funds Good Causes, But ...

I don't mind it because it funds good causes, and the jackpot prizes are realistic, and the odds more realistic than the life-ruining greed based NL.

I had a welcome £10k win a few years ago, but not much since; little wins here and there.

BUT

It did take about 8 weeks to process, which is ridiculously slow (and they wanted to make cork-popping show out of it, which I declined).

The website is appalling: cluttered with constant popups, slow to load, and it's impossible to top-up on Firefox (the most secure browser).

THL advised using Google Chrome (spyware), though any Chromium based browser should work, but the reality is that THL cannot be bothered to make their website work on Firefox.

EDIT: Google Chrome/Chromium (based browsers) should not be necessary. It is possible to top-up using Mullvad Browser which is very secure, to the extent that your bank will demand verification (text code/app/card reader) before topping up, which is better for your security.

Finally, I got a £10 bonus for topping up with my usual £10, but the 'bonus' is apparently unusable, and there does not seem to be any information on how to use a bonus, so it seems basically meaningless, or guesswork at best.

It supports good causes, but the website is rubbish, and the information lacking.

Below average.

Twice I created a direct debit…

Twice I created a direct debit subscription by error instead of paying for 'all or nothing' just once.
Watch the system because it is prompting you to do so. Never won anything, I might just cancel my account.

I won a bonus and a free entry on my first day. The web site is very difficult to navigate. When I tried to redeem the free items I was unable and money was taken from my account. I ended up spending 3 times more than I intended. I was unable to get through by phone as the number just rang with no. answer. I cancelled my account by e.mail which was straight forward. I wouldn't have any dealings with this lottery and only wished I had read and headed the negative reviews on Trustpilot before this unwanted expense.

Zero customer support

I have been attempting for several months to access the credit on my Health Lottery account in order to make a withdrawal. Despite updating my details, my card information has not been amended on the system. I have contacted customer support multiple times via email with no response, and the helpline consistently diverts to an answerphone instructing callers to ring back during working hours — which is exactly when I have been calling.

It is extremely disappointing to experience such a lack of communication and support, particularly when the issue concerns access to my own funds. I would appreciate prompt action to resolve this matter and improve the standard of customer care.

Fixed and rigged

Fixed and rigged! Like others have said, I've only ever won free tickets. I checked over my 'history plays' and found that many of the 'quick picks' are the same set of numbers! Even though I've played them at different times. This is not a 'random pick' at all! The same set of numbers repeatedly coming out in the quick picks is hardly random! Won't be playing again! Don't waste your money! Scam!

A total joke

A total joke. I regularly play 5 lines. Not anymore. For many months. "They" say you can win more than the national lottery. Nah. All I have "won" is three free tickets and that's for getting the bonus ball. Never won a penny. Never have I had three numbers. Let alone four. I refuse to waste my money on this joke lottery. It's worse than the national lottery. Never again.
