Terrible traumatizing experience. I have never in my life been threatened with a debt collector in my life until now.

I opened my account in 2023 and never used my N26 account ever until August 2025 when I had one incoming transfer. I apparently was put on N26 Smart when I was trying to make an ATM withdrawal in September 2025 which failed. Never used the app again.

I thought my account was free but it turned into a paid plan after a trial I didn't clearly agree to. I found out from a letter threatening a debt collector that my account had rolled over for 5 euro a month for a year from October 2025.

I wasn't able to cancel it through the app because my account had restrictions for tax info, so the cancel button was blocked. When I finally realised I was being charged I couldn't cancel it even last week.

When I contacted support they said you got the terms and conditions and the charge cant be refunded. I don't have the money to pay for a service I never used and didn't even realise I signed up for and now it will go to debt collection and affect my credit rating.

I sent a complaint from my account email and was ignored, its been 5 days now but they respond on another email account within a day saying please use your account email. No physical person to call, a constant loop of repetitive emails with no actual response for days.

In general, the app is very good and user-friendly. I would only suggest adding a quick tab or shortcut to make it easier to change the “Linked to account” option. If you use a shared account, it can be quite inconvenient to change the account from which the payment will be made. A quick shortcut for switching between linked accounts would make this much easier and more convenient.

N26 makes managing money feel simple. The app is clean, intuitive and fast, and every feature is just a few taps away.

Spaces are my favorite feature. I use them as sub-accounts for different goals. I can name them, set targets, and move money in and out instantly. Automatic rules and round-ups make saving almost effortless.

I had an account for 3 years and they gave hard time from day one! it is like openning an account with a tax dept. or a police dept.! I decided to close my account and advised everyone against dealing with them.

One of the worst banks I have had the unfortunate experience of using .

They sign you up for free but as a hidden 3 month promotion resulting in a monthly charge.

Then when you query the customer service is appalling ! No physical person to call, a constant loop of repetitive emails with no actual response for days.

Anyone looking for a bank in EU or Spain should stay clear of n26 they talk well but deliver a shambles of unprofessional service.

I love this app. I use it for a few years now and I'm supper happy withit. No junk, no disappointment, just doing exactly what it's uspposed to.

It's easy to operate with. Transactions can be done quickly.
Almost everything is released to make ordinary banking without time consuming issues

In general, so far so good. But I was disappointed recently by their decision to close my brokerage account.

My main account for almost a decade. Very reliable bank, good expense tracking features with automatic sorting. What's even better, a full join account is also possible

This is the future of banking. I was with a "regular" bank for about 40 years paying fees for everything they could possibly think of plus quarterly maintenance fees (whatever they were for).
N26 does everything they were doing for free plus pay me interest, only sorry I didn't move sooner!

Cancelled my investments portfolio service for no reason. Can't explain why, support is not helpful. Been a customer for last 4+ years and paid Metal premium subscription from the start. "Premium Support" means getting through AI chatbot agent to actual human only to get answer like "we don't know why we cancelled a service for you sorry". Absolute scam.

I like the updates and the communication.

Probably one of the best banking apps ever. I was able to open a new bank account in less than 10 minutes. The UI is intuitive, card settings can be fine-tuned at any moment (which can be useful for trips abroad), and sending money to other N26 account holders is a breeze thanks to MoneyBeam. Also, when my physical card was stolen, it took me only a few minutes to disable it, and get a new virtual card number in the app. I wish my other banks (yes, I have several accounts) had apps this good.

The application is more than reliable to achieve my monthly transactions and payments. Friendly user app. But there is a problem related to deposit and withdrawal of cash, I feel that I will pay double fees , part for your bank if I exceeded the free threshold or limits, and another fee charged by the host bank that operates the ATM, I understand the limitations of online banking business model , but this issue has made me reconsider my plans to make N26 my primary bank account.

it was no problem opening an account, and so far everything has worked flawless.. just one bad note, i opened the account through an invitation from a friend, and he never got the prize they promised..

N26... I think it is the best online bank because it works well and the customer service is truly excellent. Yes, I would recommend it to anyone. It is very simple and intuitive to use. 5 star🙂👍
