GDPR request submitted on 18 March 2026…

GDPR request submitted on 18 March 2026 under reference 5VJ8HQQR8K. The legal deadline expired on 17 April 2026, but N26 still did not provide the requested account statements.

Instead, more than 10 different support agents repeatedly sent the same template responses, requested documents that had already been submitted and created multiple complaint numbers instead of resolving the case.

After the deadline expired, a new employee suddenly claimed that my previously accepted document was “not sufficient”, although this had never been raised before.

At this point, N26 appears to be delaying the request rather than processing it.

Super easy to open the account online…

Super easy to open the account online and use it, have had no problems so far. I personally like the fact that you can organize everything online, but if you need a local Bank office then I would suggest looking for another Bank.

I have been using N26 for 2 months

I have been using N26 for 2 months. So far, opening the account was simple, the app is intuitive, and I have had no problems with basic operations. It is still too early to evaluate it in the long term, but my initial experience has been positive.

They closed my account for no reason

They closed my account for no reason. Now I am asking for them to check the account balance and send me bank statement of November, 2025, but they have been working for this 2 months already.

I have submited their form 4 times and still did not receive anything!

The app simply terrible

The app simply terrible.
Searches doesn't work, the flows for sending money and adding contacts and confusing and brittle.
Automations are very basic and hard to set
It's a torture if you need to search for history data.
It's really terrible. It's hard to believe that there's a product team working on that.
The web version is useless.

withdrawal fraud in atm

tried a withdrawal in bbva atm.. no money came out but account charged. Customer support makes me lose my time telling me to contact bbva, but turns put that N26 is holding my money and I have to wait 12 days before I can open a dispute. So n26 dispose of my 1000eur for free during 12 days and I need to beg to get back what is mine.

When an ATM withdrawal fails, the funds are placed on a temporary hold (not collected by the ATM operator) while the banking system resolves the discrepancy. This typically releases automatically within 5-12 days once the ATM operator confirms no cash was dispensed.

While contacting the ATM owner can sometimes speed up the process, we can also help you on our side.

What you can do now:

- Contact the ATM operator directly — check if they can release the hold faster.
- If the hold doesn't release automatically, you can dispute the transaction immediately in your app by tapping the transaction and selecting "There's something wrong".
- Reach out to us via live chat if you need assistance with the dispute process.

Once you complete the dispute request, our chargeback team will work to resolve this as quickly as possible.

Worst customer service

This is the worst bank I've ever seen, and this is coming from someone who has dealt with french bureaucracy as a foreigner. The requisite to work there must be to be highly incompetent and illiterate because there's no way they're actually reading what we send them.

Rejected due to „legal reasons“

After ticking all the requirements, I got rejected due to „legal reasons“ without telling much about it. I have local regular bank so not sure what that means. Customer service is also rude, he cut the chat in the middle of conversation. Avoid at all cost.
