Terrible customer service. They deny claims even when the proper paperwork is submitted. I even resubmitted the claim and they denied it for another reason. I spent 20 min on the phone only to be told... See more

I only wish there was a zero option. Been sitting on the phone for over an hour. I'm going to move my HSA elsewhere!!!!!!!!!

The worst customer service I've ever experienced. Every-time it takes 30-50 mins to get a representative, and then it can't hear you or just directly hang up. If I can give it a minus five I will....
Yet another BEWARE warning
I just want to "pile on" with all the bad reviews of this company: incompetent, dishonest, and oblivious. After putting up with their poor service, lame website, and fees for far too long, I closed my account ... only to be hit with one final insult: a $25 fee for issuing a check to my new HSA custodian. This is a company that should go out of business!
No explanation how to use it properly
No explanation how to use it properly, all their literature reads like you've been intrenched in hsa information your entire life. I feel like i have to work for them in order to know what this "benefit" does. Constantly feel belittled by their emails telling me how i can save - only to read on and find it so confusing i just close the email with a sad feeling.
Zero notification how it affects filing taxes.
Can no longer file for free because I have this hsa account. So now its also costing me.
Employer keeps contributing to it, so i watch my pay collect without access to it.
Ive used it once as a test. But because they wont tell me how this is taxed, i couldnt use it for the surgery i just paid out of pocket for, and only used it on a $60 bill. I have to go through trial and error this tax season to figure out how their hsa works, hope this doesn't screw me over hard, and then reassess if i can use the hsa to save money. Again, they could just tell me all of this, but they refuse to. I literally hate this company.
Waited on hold for over an hour then…
Waited on hold for over an hour then system just kicked me out. Fees, fees, fees for everything. They have lost my loyalty and am actively looking for alternatives.

After holding 1:15 hours to speak with a customer service rep I gave up.
Worst customer experience EVER!
This experience was horrible. I cancelled a gym membership less than a week after I charged it. The gym refused to refund my money. I filed a Better Business complaint. They told me to go through my credit card company to get my money back. Initially Benefit Wallet credited my $273.50 back to my card then reversed the money back to the gym! Benefit Wallet lied and said they told me the credit was temporary. They never said that then said to file an appeal. I did twice and they declined both. Then they dragged their feet and said the issue lapsed over 120 days and said case closed. I contacted my HR department and finally got my money credited back to my account 6 months after the initial charge!
TERRIBLE I would give Negative stars if…
TERRIBLE I would give Negative stars if possible- too bad you usually cant avoid as your company uses them for a benefit add on. If you want the benefit of tax free medical (Fed benefit) you have no choice. BUT hopefully companies will eventually see WE their employees hate this organizations service/policies. Same issues never get fixed. Repeated issues from calling and getting hung up on to being sent on circle paperwork errands that dont work. Just LOOK at the negative reviews!! ALL issues seem to be a problem. At the end of the interaction they asked me If I wanted to do feedback I said yes hoping someone might see my neg. feedback. EVEN the Feedback questions were crazy WHAT KIND of feedback gives you options that do not evaluate them??? That is not honest feedback ? I wanted to scream in frustration as my only options where button 1,2,3,4 which were all paperwork was: insurer did not have paperwork, someone else did not, an outside party did not provide it, you did not have it. NONE OF THE ABOVE was not an option and - YOU BENEFIT WALLET - do not follow your own policies or explain them, while sending customers on extra steps that are a crap shoot if they work.
Literally the worst customer service
Literally the worst customer service. Terrible reception every call. Cannot understand the people you are taking to. Have to jump through a million hoops, including 7-10 days of snail mail, despite providing all of your personal information. Pulling my funds from this service ASAP.
Lousy Service
Lousy Service. Needed a address update. Notorized and Mailed back the form. Two months later they hadn't updated my information and now I have to repeat what I already done. Crap service all around , even down to the call center.
Horrible
Horrible. After hours in the phone with people who do not speak my language which is English I still can not deposit funds in my account. They won’t help or fix the problem.
Left employer tried to close account…
Left employer tried to close account was given info that kept me in circles. Account still open and getting a 3.50 cent monthly maintenance fee that has now added up to almost $40 and cannot close it and get the MY Hard earned money back!!!!!! This is the worst. Do yourself a favor and just save money in your own personal account!
Extraordinarily user-hostile website…
Extraordinarily user-hostile website and sign-on procedure. The only party that receives a "Benefit" is them, certainly not the customer! If you can avoid using this so-called "service" you are advised to do so.
What a joke
What a joke. They mailed me a welcome letter containing my account number and informing asking me to register my account online. When I attempt to register my account it says that “my information is not found.” When I called the company on the phone number that THEY provided, it took the person 20 minutes to tell me that they have a separate number for the dependent care FSA account. After another 40 minutes on the phone with that person from my benefit wallet, to tell me that they didn’t have my information! I gave them my full Social Security number and account number from the paperwork that they emailed me!!! Ha! Then they told me to call my benefit department with my employer. What a joke! I called the benefit person at my company and told them I want my money back and to not have to deal with those imbeciles ever again. Stay away! It is not worth it!
Terrible company
Terrible company! I was forced to use BenefitWallet for my HSA at the company I was previously working for and I was shocked at how many fees there were! There's a fee for "account maintenance" EVERY MONTH regardless of how much money you currently have in the account which I think is extremely ridiculous. The current company I work for has an HSA through another company and there are no fees or anything. Plus the customer service is terrible. I usually am on hold for an average of 30 mins and I can barely understand any of the representatives I speak to. I'm so happy I closed my account with BenefitWallet!
The same thing happens every call
The same thing happens every call. Takes 30 minutes to speak to a human who then cannot help you with the security code as directed from the website. Instead offers to mail a code which takes 7-10 days.
This company wants to prevent any customers from actually getting service.
Absolutely horrid
Absolutely horrid. For some reason (I'm guessing cost) our company switched to them for FSA and prescription. The local grocery store club is cheaper on most. Every prescription seems to need lots of pre-auth and run around. Now i have to submit paperwork for using my fsa at the doctors office? Never had to worry with prior company. I pray my employer ditches them soon. If not our union will be making it an issue at next contract negotiation as non of us is happy. I do like to be fair and will say that my one prescription is still slightly cheaper with this insurance than with the club pricing (more than our prior insurance) but overall I end up breaking even if I just use Kroger club pricing. Locally based customer service would help as well. It seemed like the person I was talking to was just reading from a script and did not care.
If I could leave -1 star
If I could leave -1 star, I would. My wife and I had a baby in March and we lost our baby. In addition to all phycological trauma she has to deal with multiple claims that have been denied due to lack of "medical necessity". Debit card was frozen because of improper explanation on an invoice for $20.00. What a joke and disgrace. Shame shame shame. Managers dont have any desire to assist at all and repeat the same information like robots.
Horrible Horrible
Horrible Horrible
I changed my address, 4 times. they still can not get it fixed.
Then to top it off they sent my cards to the people at the wrong address. Now they charged 1,500.00$. It has been countless calls, and they still have not got the money back.
I deposited my money. And they keep sending it back.
All the agents are from over seas, so good luck understanding them. And they do not understand us.
Horrible company
Charges for everything once your balance falls below $5000. Hey, I’m retired and can’t contribute anymore. Just switched my balance to Fidelity and was charged $25 by BW to my account. No fees from Fidelity, great.
