Infuriating!!!

UPS wanted me to pay for a parcel which I was annoyed about as I never agreed to my parcel being delivered by UPS and charging me a fee after already paying for the P&P! They got Control Account involved so I said I would send the payments, £10 weekly until paid off. UPS agreed and said the additional late fee charge would be wiped off. This happened almost a year ago… I paid off the fees and let control account know, but they are still bugging me and requesting I pay more fees. I contacted UPS and they promised to sort it out with Control Account, but nothing has been resolved! Just more letters of increased fees!

This company hasn't got a clue

This company hasn't got a clue, sending emails making out it's the legal team and you only have so many days left before they will speak to their solicitors, if they are the legal team why come out with solicitors. When you tell them you have spoken to the cab, their words are cab we are not compelled to follow the cab instructions. But want my ins&out which is what the cab advised me to do. Nit good enough for them. I told them I look forward to speak to your solicitors you can take me to court, I have everything in black and white offers of payment's which they refused. Now they have gone quiet I have bigger debits who have excepted less.

They are clueless

They are clueless

These people have no knowledge whatever. They are collecting money with so much arrogancy. They should be really well trained - unfortunately for them they are Ignorant. We import olive oil from Italy from more then 5 years. We have EORI number and olive oil is classified as zero tax item - no duties to be paid. Instead they were insisting with arrogancy and pushed us to pay the two invoices from Fedex ( another scammer company which never reply to emails and it's almost impossible to get in touch unless you email them 1000 times for the same issue). Long story short - we finally received a reply from Fedex - stating there was an error in first place - the olive oil is a zero taxable item and we should not pay duties. We are a legit company which import food with EORI number. Control account team confirmed we were entitled to a refund and in the end we got our money back after fighting and chasing. Fight for your rights - these people have not knowledge and everyone has to be aware of this situation. They wasted our time - they put stress on us and more costs as well and for a small family business it's awful.

The "lady" that I spoke today on the…

The "lady" that I spoke today on the phone. You're the most disgusting person I've ever been in touch with regarding a customer service situation.
Ref 4446403.
Now let's explain to you what I'm going through because of FedEx and the level of stupidy I have to face.
My parcel was left on the corridors from the proof they provided. I got in touch with the company I ordered the parcel and they refunded me because I didnt find my parcel. Fedex is giving me an invoice for import to pay because apparentlyi signed for this parcel. I explain I never sign and never received this parcel and that is a false statement. Later they got back to me that the driver who was in charge with my parcel doesn't work for the company anymore therefore the case is closed. Meanwhile they the control account hasn't been informed that there's nothing to pay for because of all of this and the disgusting woman that I talked today on the phone that she didn't even let me speak asked to pay for the invoice and then to request my.money back from the HM Revenue. What do you say if you quit your job for your level of incompetence and never work with customers again?
Fedex I will take things further for distress!!!!!!!!!You're all disgusting.

Trying to force me to pay for a bill I already paid

FEDEX forwarded on my details to this company even though I had already paid an import charge when asked by FEDEX. I contacted FEDEX, and after the 4th time, they informed these grifters that I had paid, but now controlaccount want me to pay the same bill and a collection charge. I tried telling them that I had already paid on time and that this was FEDEX's fault but the simpleton on the phone either couldn't read that the 2 bills were the same bill or was he was on commission to get payment. FEDEX may be incompetent but this company are scammers.

Hello

Hello. I realized that controlaccount.com is a real scam. They are in cahoots with Alibaba. I ordered something from Alibaba. It arrived the next day. I was very surprised how quickly it arrived. The item wasn't what I ordered. I sent it back the next day. Later, I received a letter saying I had to pay customs fees. It's a very simple, well-thought-out scam. The seller doesn't suffer. Only the buyer suffers. Beware of controlaccount.com - SCAMMERS! Thank you. I shared my experience. Next time I'll be careful when buying online.

Bullying tactics, poor communication, and zero support in place to resolve the situation

FED EX are claiming for fees that were paid in full, before the due date.

It seems impossible to address this on Control Account's system that is set up for payment only.

I have contacted Fed Ex - I no longer have the order details, so they won't help.

I have contacted Control Account - I no longer have Fed Ex bank details so they won't help.

Meanwhile Control Account are sending me letters - putting the fee up and threatening to take me to court.

The situation is very frustrating, like being stuck a dead end, and is causing me a very high level of upset and stress.

I don't know where to go from here.

CuntrolAccounts

Same issues as another reviewer. I purchased some gym equipment from the UK adding up to 127 euro last July. Items were delivered via FedEX and a few weeks later a customs bill arrived for 11.41, I expected this and paid it on August 1st. I have proof of this on my Paypal.
Fast forward to January and I start getting text messages, which to me seemed like a scam so I ignored them but after 8 of them I went and looked and the details were correct so I contacted FedEX a few times and finally got a response acknowledging my payment and saying their system had been updated.
Oddly on ControlAccounts website I owed 64.51, not 11.41, and a new charge of 13.51 had appeared.
I logged on, told them I didnt know what his 13.51 was, provided them my paypal receipt, a copy of the email from FedEX and assumed that would be it.
However it was not, texts and letters continued to come, an email from them also told me that the issue was not resolved and this continued on and on.
Today a letter arrived saying I suddenly owed 39.92, but their website still says 64.92.

I've warned them again I will not pay, I've told them to go back to FedEX to clear this up, but I refuse to pay a bill I do not understand the contents of.

Anti consumerist, aggressive scammers.

Trustpilot asks that I speak helpfully and constructively, however it is close to, if not, impossible to speak about Control account in a Positive light. Two years ago now I received a parcel from my long distance girlfriend, this was sent through FedEx and cost her close to $100 just to ship it, about a month after it arrived, roughly January of 2023, I received a letter from FedEx saying I owed about €16, which I payed almost immediately after receiving, as a scared 16 year old does because FedEx is a large and already quite threatening company, of course FedEx sent me an extremely suspicious letter saying I owed the exact same amount as the first charge after three or four months that I assumed was a scam, though after going to FedEx and talking to them they assured me that the amount on the letter was already paid and that I owed them nothing, after another number of months I received a letter from control account, threatening me with pursuit of legal action if I didn’t contact them. After some weeks of back and forward with control account, I put forward a query and my account was suspended, they never got back to me and a year and a half passed, in 2024 they responded to my query and added €30 to the bill out of what I can only presume to be anti consumerist malice. They refuse to speak to me unless I speak to them on my time, I only have about a half hour of time free during they’re open hours, which I like to spend eating, as this is what lunch exists for. Of course, if I put in a Call back or any sort of request for contact they have all the time in the World to contact me back, but god forbid I take three days to ask them what the purpose of the year and a half pause between contacts. They also refuse you to send more than one specific type of query per week, of course if you send an “other” query this is not categorized as a separate type of query even if it asks a completely different question. FedEx and any other company using these blunt, aggressive goons should be ashamed of themselves, and anyone working for this company of monsters should be doubly so, I cannot imagine how a company that, as I’ve seen from other reviews on and off this site, has no issues with harassing minors, going after debts with hardly any evidence behind it and even fabricating owed money to stuff in their back pockets.

If you want me to give some helpful, constructive advice, shut the whole company down, or gain some sort of moral compass. You morally bankrupt anti consumer pigs.

To clarify, this is a multiple year long affair, the date added to this is from the first time they contacted me in 2024.

As with 90% of the people here same experience total fraudsters . I contacted Fedex and they said i owed them nothing they could not even match any of the references given by control account across any invoices. Then they have sent me another request for payment ..I am reporting them to Action Fraud and to the Government website

Report Report Report!

Report Report Report!
Control Account pursued aggressive tactics on an unverified debt, escalating fees without verifying legitimacy. The invoice they cited was misspelled, and their initial letter looked like a scam, with broken links that raised doubts about authenticity. Despite my attempts to clarify with their client, they ignored all reasonable explanations and continued pressuring with added fees. If you’re facing similar issues, I strongly recommend escalating your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) to ensure fair handling and avoid unnecessary financial stress

Thieves

Thieves. Billed import tax and months of late fees on something that wasn't even sent to me because the shipper listed my name. Hadn't previously been contacted in any way. Spoke with them for an hour, they provided no way to resolve the issue, did not care that it wasn't my shipment. Also not clear how they came about charging 130 GBP tax and fees for a package that the shipper listed as valued at 50 USD. Horrible people.

Services provided is Joke

At first I thought it was some kind of scam. A letter arrives explaining nothing, should you pay? I call them and ask what's going on? It turns out it was a package from 5 months ago. Please send me some additional information by e-mail, I'm still waiting. I would give this service zero stars, but it's impossible. The same for FedEx, which caused all this confusion, for the lack of information about customs duties imposed at the border. I will never use this service again, although this time I had no control over it.

Wrong customer threatened

My brother who lived in Spain used my address and my name to send over his luggage when he moved to England. He used FedEx as the delivery service. The luggage was duly delivered.
I was then sent letters addressed to me demanding money for duty not paid. The total amount was around, £90.

I then received today letters with invoices from the company “my control account” demanding that I pay an extra duty or surcharge for nonpayment of duty. I phoned this and told them that I was not the owner of the luggage. The lady on the phone asked me to pay a nominal charge to help recover nonpayment. I refused.

I find it intimidating that people from this company send me debt recovery invoices for items or luggage that do not belong to me and then ask me to make a nominal payment. Blackmail!

Sent a threatening letter with no explanation
Just received a threatening letter out of the blue demanding a fee with no explanation of when this alleged charge was incurred or evidence of the fee.

Their vague explanation suggests it wasn't even me who incurred the fee.

Vile approach to business.
