Friendly, efficient and always willing to work through issues

I was a loyal client of this firm for nearly six years. I gave them my trust, my time, my patience, and paid a fair amount in fees — even as the quality of service declined. Emails were ignored, key tasks were delayed without explanation, and communication became inconsistent.

When I raised concerns, I was met not with understanding or accountability, but with denial, defensiveness, and blame. Important issues were left unresolved for months. When I eventually expressed justified frustration, I was labelled unprofessional — as though the real issue was my tone rather than their repeated failure to deliver.

This wasn’t just poor service — it was punitive, unprofessional, and deeply disappointing. It showed a complete lack of care and integrity in how they handled the end of a long-standing client relationship.

I’ve worked with many service providers across multiple businesses and countries over the years, and this was, without question, the worst experience I have had with a professional services firm. I left feeling let down and disrespected by how I was treated. I would strongly advise others not to proceed with this organisation.

Mushroom have provided our Charity with reliable, extremely cost-effective, phone support for the past two years. They are always quick to respond to any queries and consistently polite and patient!

We have worked with Charlotte at Mushroombiz on the HR side of things for some time now and our experience has been excellent. Charlotte adopted our tools and systems almost immediately whilst really tailoring the service to our business, which has been a game-changer. As a fast-paced and agile business, we needed our provider to be able to support us across a wide variety of situations that crop up day to day and at a fast-pace - Charlotte's vast knowledge of all things HR & rapid response time has made her the perfect fit for our business.

We had been considering outsourcing our reception and telephone call handling for some time and the pandemic proved to be a very convincing catalyst. What we did not want was some automated system that answers calls with the dreaded “please press option 1 for XYZ etc” we wanted human beings to answer the call in our firm style and Mushroom has delivered.

The transition to Mushroom was quite painless as they took the time to understand how we wanted the calls answered and to set the protocols in terms of what information to obtain from callers before putting them through to the relevant fee earners.

We now have a “reception” which works really well with the new “off-site” phone system in place and is more cost effective then having a full-time manned reception/call handler in the office.

The people at Mushroom are friendly and always take the time to understand how you want things done and do them well. We would certainly recommend them and once you have utilised their services, you will not look back.

I am so pleased I signed up to Mushroom's HR services, makes my life as a Director so much easier that certain parts of my responsibility are covered and I can run ideas through Mushroom before going ahead. They respond promptly, with concise, clear and helpful information. The customer experience is also fantastic, I enjoy my phone calls with Mushroom as they are always positive and friendly! I almost look forward to a HR issue as I get to talk to Mushroom!

Mushroom provided a free phone number and re-routing service to our community group during the COVID-19 lockdown, allowing us to provide support to vulnerable and elderly people in our town. We had a few issues setting up, but the support provided was excellent.

Considering they have provided this service to so many support groups for no financial gains whatsoever displays their integrity as a company and also the proactive approach they have to providing solutions.
