Great kit & engaging company/staff. Only sell quality, and at a reasonable price. May initially look to be a buck or two more expensive, but given their $99 free shipping rates, you’ll end up bette... See more

Written by the company

Mont Adventure Equipment is an independent Australian company founded in Canberra in 1981. We're serious gear users and stand by our product. After years of frustrations with the poor quality of adventure clothing and equipment available, Monty had enough and made something better, something he could rely on. In 1978, using a borrowed sewing machine, he made himself a sleeping bag, down jacket and tent. Friends were impressed by his creations, and commissioned pieces. A reputation for quality gear quickly spread and in 1981 Mont Adventure Equipment was founded. While Mont has long since outgrown Monty's small unit in Canberra, Australia, he still directs the company and works closely with a passionate team on the design and testing of all Mont products. As dedicated adventurers ourselves, quality is never compromised just to save a few cents. To this day Mont Adventure Equipment is still privately owned, based in Canberra, fiercely independent and totally committed to better gear for the wild. If you'd like to learn more about Mont or need assistance in selecting the right gear for your adventure please do not hesitate to contact the Mont Customer Service team.

Incredible Gear for Himalayan Expedition

Took the Expedition 8000XT to Nepal on a Mountaineering trip and it was INCREDIBLE! Temperatures got down to -20C and we didn't get cold once. Will be 100% reccomending to friends doing similar trips. Heard people in other tents at high camp complaining about the cold and we were toasty as ever!

Happy in te end

Trouble with the 1st jacket purchased, however they tried to fix twice and when they couldn't offered a full refund, replacement or upgraded. New jacket has been tested and it's great, better breathability than my old goretex one. Great jacket and in the end can't fault the service.

Service excellent

Service excellent, product good, as expected. But the delivery was woeful, 2+ weeks across Aust. Pony express would have been quicker.

Good purchase experience

Good purchase experience. I had a query prior to an online purchase of La Sportiva footwear, and the communication between the floor staff member, the online guru and me was handled very well. I’m very satisfied with the efficient way my query was met, and my purchase was dispatched from ACT to WA.
