completely awful experience left me feeling scammed

Beware of Moneylion! I had a Fraudulent charge of $99.59 on a virtual card, that they ALLOWED the transaction to go through..EVEN THOUGH there was only $13 in the checking account! I now OWE them over $85 in negative balance. And they won't honor their terms! Customer Service in "India" told me to call the police, they do not protect the accounts!

I would strongly advise people to think twice before using MoneyLion’s investment platform.

I trusted MoneyLion with my money because I believed my funds would be safe and available when I needed them. Instead, I have been stuck dealing with an unresolved issue that has left me unable to access approximately $1,500 of my own money.

The issue started when I attempted to withdraw my funds and their system experienced a problem that prevented the withdrawal process from working correctly. Since then, I have contacted customer support repeatedly and have been given the same response: more waiting. The promised timeframes have passed, yet I still do not have a resolution. My case has been escalated to their Customer Advocacy Team, but I continue to experience delays and a lack of clear answers. It is now going on a month and I can’t withdraw my money

This experience has completely changed my opinion of MoneyLion. A company handling customers’ investments should provide reliability, transparency, and timely access to funds. Unfortunately, my experience has been the opposite.

I no longer feel confident trusting MoneyLion with my money, and I would not recommend their investment service to others.

I had an issue today my instacash balance was over due I’m facing homelessness as I’m two months behind on rent electric is cut off and I’m starving with a can of tuna and some beens then money lion took my last 270 dollars I was saving for a huge emergency maybe rent or electric it’s in a separate account mind you I linked them for some kind of reward idk but they took my entire account swept with out notice eft prohibits this action and I am raising hell I have three kids and this is the final straw I’m going to loose them if I can’t get more food and lights back on before cps comes back my world ended today thanks money lion

Thank you all for the honest reviews. Because of u I deleted their email. Thank God for trust pilot and customers that share their experience with these companies. Credit Karma and all those credit bureau company apps you should be ashamed of yourself for supporting these companies. You’re suppose to help people improve their credit not help them destroy it. Shame on all of that take advantage of the people you service.

Don't waste your time. I'm glad I read the reviews before considering them. They wanted to verify all my information yet kept saying they needed more information than the federal government needs . I don't trust this outfit. I noticed on reddit it's common issues with them. Beware.

I thought this was good to use for instant cash, but this last episode for me was the last straw. I requested 360dol last month, #1 u have to take it separately which costs 8.99, for each 100, 100, 100 was 8.99 each. So I had to pay back 412 dol for 360dol. Never again. Closed acct. Don't use moneylion!!! It's like the mob. Ask for 100 pay back 200. Don't do it! So what's the issue?? I filled out my info. My email on a form. What did they want to know. I called the number for CS. Talked to them. I won't talk to AI person. I said how disappointed I was with the money they charge how they do their advances and pay back.

This is one of the best apps if you need some quick money. Dont gotta jump thru hoops to get it, Amount increased 30 bucks just from 1 ontime payment.

Wow. I’ve had some bad customer service experiences, but this company has turned incompetence into a competitive sport.

Let’s start with the app. The customer service chat disconnects constantly, and half the time you can’t even tell if you’re talking to a bot, a human, or a potato with a headset. That’s apparently the level of personal attention customers can expect.

When the chat inevitably failed, I called customer service. Big mistake. Not only did they fail to solve my issue, the representative actually seemed amused by it. Nothing inspires confidence quite like feeling like the punchline of someone else’s joke.

I asked for a supervisor. Once. Twice. Three times. Eventually I lost count. I know it was at least eight times. Every time I was placed on hold, only to have the same representative return and repeat the same useless script. At one point she actually said, “I know you’re not going to like the answer I’m going to give you.” No kidding. The answer wasn’t a solution. It wasn’t even an attempt.

The most impressive part was watching a company perform Olympic-level gymnastics to avoid connecting a customer with a supervisor. I’ve never seen a request so completely ignored. It was like asking a toddler to eat vegetables.

Finally, I was told a supervisor would call me back. Apparently that supervisor possesses the same magical qualities as Bigfoot, because nobody bothered to verify my phone number and, shockingly, no call ever came.

If I could give negative stars, I would. In 48 years, I have never felt this negatively about a company. After the call ended, I just sat there thinking, “So this is what it looks like when a company genuinely stops caring about its customers.”

At this point, I’d trust my money to a shoe box, a coffee can buried in the backyard, or a squirrel with a savings plan before I’d trust it here. At least those options wouldn’t put me on hold for 30 minutes before disappointing me.

This company behaves like a giant corporation with the emotional maturity of a spoiled child. Lots of excuses, no accountability, and somehow every problem belongs to someone else.

I’ll be moving my financial business elsewhere. The only thing this company managed to do successfully was convince me to leave.

Do better. Right now you’re making the DMV look like a luxury concierge service.
