Awful service
Awful service. Totally incompetent. Sold my car to a dealer and sent battery transfer document 3 months ago. Dealer sold the car on and new owner filled in the forms but no transfer. Have phoned emailed and resent documents, Staff polite and say they will sort it out bit nothing happens. Follow up emails or phone calls and they deny getting the information. Staff always polite but something fundamentally wrong with their systems. Avoid if you can.
Terrible
Terrible, terrible company.
Bad communication, different departments don't know what is going on.
I asked to change battery lease payment, 4 months later, still not changed.
Impossible to get rid of the car even though I've sold it. Untrustworthy company. I think everyone who has had bad experience should all complain together to citizens advice, Martin's moneysavers and the financial ombudsman. Clearly we need to work together to bring this into the light
No better than a backstreet loan shark and at least with them you expect shoddy treatment!
Looking at previous reviews I feel I may be wasting my time reviewing this unscrupulous bunch of burglars who continue to treat the personal car leaser with utter contempt, however, if it may serve to be the last nail in their coffin, here goes……….
I leased a Nissan Qashqai, three year lease , delivered on 8/12/2021
I decided to surrender the contract early and handed the car back on 19/9/2024, after having paid 50% of all outstanding payments in the contract - fair enough, my choice.
The car was in excellent condition, I had even put two new tyres on the front in order to hand the car back in good faith ( that’s a word they’re not familiar with ), they still had up to 2k left on them but this being my first ( and now last ever ) lease I wanted to do the
decent thing ( another word not in their vocabulary).
Inspection day came.
Initially they tried to slap two ‘ fines’ onto me
One for £210 for ‘late’ services.
The first and second services were stamped in the service book as being within the first and second anniversary of my custody of the car.
Another for £90 for a scuff on the upper side of the rear bumper where the tailgate had been rubbing due to maladjustment from new, something by the Inspector’s admission, I had no control over. ( the car was still under warranty when I surrendered it )
I was asked at the end of the inspection if I accepted these charges to which I strongly rejected.
Heard nothing for SIX WEEKS.
Then a letter drops through my door demanding not only the aforementioned but also nearly £60 in ‘excess mileage’ charge. My car was on a three year lease at 8k per annum, I handed the car back with 22,044 miles on the odometer, even if that average mileage had continued to end of contract, I still wouldn’t have reached 24k.
Already having taken this up with Select Car Leasing, ( who were extremely supportive) I decided to contact both the CEO of RCI/ Motorize and the U.K. Director of Nissan.
I was ignored by RCI but did have a response from Nissan .
( the CEO of RCI is clearly too busy in his ivory tower to be bothered with peasants such as I, even though we pay his wages )
In the meantime, after challenging these fines, they have since rescinded the £210 for the ‘missing service’
( there was NO missing service at all) and no explanation as to why I had been charged in the first place.
Still insisting on the excess mileage charge I demanded a full written calculation of the said charge, this was never forthcoming.
Two more weeks passéd and I receive another email to inform me that no excess mileage charge was due after all.
So this just left the £90 for the scuff, which I have reluctantly paid to put an end to this matter.
This has put me off leasing a car permanently and RCI are totally responsible for my decision.
I had no choice in choosing this finance company and I would therefore urge any potential leaser to check with the leasing company who the finance is administered by and avoid RCI/ Motorize at all costs.
This company at best are totally inept and at worst a bunch of lying, unscrupulous burglars intent on screwing what they can out of you at any cost.
They will concoct any reason to slap additional charges on to you.
Even though I have been successful in having two charges rescinded, I will not let this matter go.
After the requisite eight weeks of initial contact have passed and I am still dissatisfied with their response, I will be reporting them to the FCA/ Financial Ombudsman.
I have every email between us on record and it may make good reading for them.
Avoid this company!
They are obviously not concerned about poor reviews! Ongoing complaint about a faulty Nissan Ariya delivered on 27th May and has been in the Nissan garage trying to sort out a problem ever since. Car was not checked properly before delivery and refusing any relacemtor refund. 5 months of a two year lease when I do not have the car they promised.
Horrible horrible company and staff
Horrible horrible company and staff. Not a coincidence the rating on this website is just 2 stars.
Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs. Numerous problems continuously. One example, was kept on hold for over an hour today (despite being “next in queue”) for someone to pick up the phone and instantly hang up on me.
Disgusting customer service with an office of literally 2 people that decide to do nothing all day because clearly they hate the company as well.
sold my zoe to a friend he agreed to…
sold my zoe to a friend he agreed to take battery finance on, all paperwork was sent/signed 1 email sent to acknowledge 3 months later i am still paying the lease i have contacted by phone several times asked for it to get sorted and email what is required still paying tryed again and get put on hold for ages when trying to contact not happy.
the staff are always polite
Worst car sharing ever
Worst car sharing ever in the whole world. They charge 500 eur deposit each time you book and only refund in 30!!!!! days.
Terrible organisation
Terrible organisation. They failed to process a battery lease agreement which the buyer of our car returned to them three months ago, and are still saying we are liable for the payments.
This company are utterly inept
This company are utterly inept. We owned 2 Renault Zoe cars which had battery leases. The cars themselves were great, so we decided to trade in for newer electric models. This is when the problems began because, like other reviewers here, Mobilize just don't do their job They keep hounding and threatening us for the battery lease payments even though the cars are sold on and the new lease holders are paying the lease. They are so useless they even sent me a demand for an arrears payment showing the new leaseholder was paying the lease for the last 5 months! Phoning is an utter waste of time, they won't respond to emails as our email address is not on the contract any longer...so we ask them why are you writing and threatening us? If I could give them less than 1 star I would as this has been going on for over 8 months. Never ever lease a car or battery through Mobilize...dealing with them is like groundhog day and you will be beyond frustrated with their service. I cannot suggest anything they can do to improve their customer service - it's beyond all hope and needs to have a full scale review to begin again with the basics...listen to your customer.
Ok...there is a load of paperwork but…
Ok...there is a load of paperwork but my car arrived promptly and the process was straightforward.
This has been the worst summer of my…
This has been the worst summer of my life thanks to Mobilize
Sold my car in April this year ( a battery lease with mobilize)
I did all the paperwork that was asked of me , with the new owners name and account details, he then sold the car . Mobilize has failed on all accounts to send out a new lease agreements to the new owner and still chasing me !?
Countless conversations with the switch board people that led nowhere . They now threatening taking me to court for £ 3000!
They have failed to communicate with me and the new owner and at one point sent out a document that no one can open !!
I wonder if this was their intention all along .
Never, Ever, Again
Too much to type here re my derision for this company.
Lets just say that I will never lease a car again. Ever!
Worst company that I have ever had to deal with.
On this review site it asks for date of experience. I have had multiple experiences.
Awful
Phoned them numerous times to ask about my refinance. Continual bombardment of letters telling me I was in arrears and it could affect my credit rating! No matter how many times youspeak to them you receive emails stating I was in arrears even though I had filled in relevant form and had proof of posting. I would recommend any purchase you make don't get involved with this company.
This company is an absolute joke and…
This company is an absolute joke and totally inept. Not only do they not respond to emails, but they call to chase collection and then aggressively state they can’t talk to me because my name is not on the agreement. My father's name was on the agreement, but since he has progressed dementia I am using Power of Attorney to return the vehicle. I have sent them the PoA three times and they still want to talk to my father. When they finally came to collect the car, they arrived after the contract expired (so I will be charged for a late collection) and their representative decided to take a dump at our house with the toilet door open so that everyone could see. Their representatives are aggressive and patronising over the phone and totally unhelpful. They charge you for non-existent scratches and missing charge cables when they are obviously present. Mobilize has blemished Renault's reputation and I for one would never purchase another Renault if Mobilize remain involved.
Impossible to transfer battery lease?
I sold my Zoe and sent the battery lease transfer form twice to them by email, as requested; I called them three times, and the lease is still in my name and being charged to my account. They are useless... it is infuriating...
Companies like this make leasing…
Companies like this make leasing traumatic. I've got a leasing with 8,000 p/y and 8p per mile excess. I just rang to see the cost to move it to 12,000 p/y. So the monthly payment will increase by £38.7 which in practical terms, means they are pricing the mile at 11.67p per mile. When I challenged, referencing the excess mileage cost, the operator's response was "I've got a system, we put the milage in and we get a new monthly cost"
I'll try to spread the word, if I can get only 1 prospect to avoid them (Nissan or Renault) that would be a win
Poor customer support
Haven’t been able to login to my account for four months. Some interest shown at first but then nothing. Asked by email how to raise a complaint - no response.
Utterly appalling
I spent 5 hours stranded following a breakdown…female & alone. Our agreement includes full support, yet RAC wouldn’t attend due to error in Mobilize admin! Mobilize customer service told me I’d have to arrange my own recovery direct with RAC due to the error. I asked to speak to a supervisor & was told “he won’t speak to you”. It’s pot luck if you get someone helpful & then you get cut off & start the whole cycle over. I arranged my own recovery & have sent an official complaint, however, having experienced their utter disregard for the situation, I have also lodged complaint via Resolver.com & don’t intend to let this go! I am disgusted.
I have never dealt with a more useless…
I have never dealt with a more useless company in all my life , you spend hours on hold trying to talk to someone after they have repetitively ignore your emails or taken weeks to respond. when you get hold of someone they promise your email will be dealt with immediately , only to wait and get ignored again !
