A thief and a poor businessman
I spent $80 on a salt and pepper mill set but the pepper grinder didn't work. I asked Kevin Hughes of Milkyway Wood company to please fix it. He took it and said that he fixed it but the mechanism was very inconsistent and was still not working properly. He took it back again (after suggesting that I was the issue) and then never returned it to me despite my multiple attempts to retrieve it from him. He eventually stopped responding to my emails and messages at all. He only responded to my many messages after I had commented about him effectively stealing from me and maintaining poor business practices on a number of his instagram posts. When he finally responded, he called me names, told me he had blocked me and that he would not issue a refund, that he would only mail me the pepper grinder (which I no longer want and frankly, don't feel comfortable with him having my home address). He also said that he assumed that I was not a "local" and would not care or understand that he was still recovering from hurricane helene (I am a full time local of over 20 years). I love my community and our many local businesses, but I do not recommend doing business with this man.
