Nadine Roberts has been our liaison coordinator throughout the whole process. She is polite friendly and has unbelievable patience , even though it was a very short chain it was not without its complications, Nadine did a great job in keeping everyone informed and chasing just at the right time, it was reassuring to know that she was on the case and took a lot of the stress away from us. Thank you.
We contacted someone at the company and arranged a viewing. Only to be told that this person had decided they weren´t able to show us around. Rather than inform us that someone else was taking up our request they transfered us onto someone else who then tried to cancel the viewing.
They have been very kind and patient with this whole process. Louise has been very helpful with everything we have needed and explained things when we was unsure. She has really made this experience much easier for us.

We had a tricky and bumpy journey with this sale.
I am entirely convinced the fact that very junior people employed by the solicitors involved acting for the buyer in the transaction caused most of the issues we all faced collectively as buyer, seller and Agent.
Their incompetence and apparent lack
o empowerment, the lack of honesty and transparency or any sense of responsibility to fulfil the most basic of tasks (for which they were contracted and paid) with any sense of urgency or care meant the conveyancing process was long, fraught with hold ups, half truths, unfulfilled promises causing stress and completely and unnecessary delay.
Through this whole process, frustrating as it was daily, Nadine as Miles and Barr’s progressing agent tried above and beyond to find solutions for all parties.
She responded quickly with answers when she was eventually able to get them from
both the buyer and eventually the buyer’s solicitor.
She listened while I ranted at the ridiculousness (and incompetence of parties who must do this day in day out)of it all, always tried to find solutions and was pulled in all directions.
She kept calm, although I know
she shared my frustration at the unnecessary complexity of what should have been a simple, short chain and relatively small transaction was palpable.
She kept positive and kept me in the loop when there was eventually progress and news.
She did a better than anyone could have done faced with the broken and outdated almost entirely still analogue process of conveyancing as it is with solicitors today.
The system is broken, conveyancing is not taken seriously enough by Solicitors and people like Nadine have to deal
with the outcome of that hourly in their
working day.
She remained optimistic and positive
She deserves to be praised for her tenacity and patience and client service.

The outstanding part of this experience was the Sales Progressor, Denise, who was always available to push this purchase along as soon as any small or big issue came up. We completed the purchase in just two months from offer to completion and the property initially had not even been registered and one of the vendors was in Africa. All this made it challenging but we got there thanks to her. And she still cared enough to pick up one last time post completion when really her work was over. Thank you Denise.

Once this was done the interest was immediately there.
We decided to go with the solicitors who Miles and Barr recommended and can’t fault Boys and Maughan
Once sale agreed we had a dedicated contact in Melissa who was the go between for all parties and kept us updated. This made a huge difference to know that things were progressing behind the scenes.
They may not be the cheapest estate agents but you get what you pay for and this was a very smooth service which we would recommend.

I decided to use Miles & Barr to sell my property after such a great experience in the past. However, this time wasn't the same from start to exchange. Incompetent solicitors, predominantly on the buyer's side. Frustration and unbearable stress due to nearly losing my next property twice. I would like to give great praise to Denise Lumpkin, the Sales Progressor, who worked tirelessly to get this sale over the line. Her professionalism was outstanding, and kept me going when it felt like all hope was lost. I received excellent support and advice throughout the selling process. The staff were all helpful, courteous and professional. It is difficult to pick out individuals in a great team but Scott Roberts, the branch director, and Debbie Mead were both really excellent and like all the staff ,highly motivated. Unfortunately the first sale fell through but M&B pulled out all the stops to rapidly find another buyer and complete the deal extremely fast.
