Carpet beetle infestation - refund refused
Such a shame, I bought a rug and it was infested with carpet beetles and H&M are not willing to refund me! Be careful, gorgeous rug and the infestation isn’t their fault but not refunding me once I sent it back with photos is BAD!

I have been waiting for my refund of ¥6,295 for almost two months, and it is still not completed.
You keep telling me the refund is pending, but my bank (SMBC) clearly said they need a SWIFT code to verify if any refund transaction was actually made. But you have not provided me with that code — because the refund has not been processed in the first place.
The so-called “proof of refund” you sent me was completely useless for my bank. They do not need that document — they need the SWIFT code or any real transaction details. So please stop sending me files that have no purpose.

Absolutely Horrendous Experience – Never Again!
If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with H&M has been nothing short of a nightmare. I placed and paid an order that was supposed to arrive within the timeframe indicated at checkout, yet here I am, 2 weeks later, still waiting. What’s worse is the lack of professionalism and support from their so-called “customer service”. Not only are they unhelpful, but they also seem to lack basic respect for their customers.
To make matters worse, if info orders arrive, you’re informed that they are not delivered to the address selected during checkout. The entire process is chaotic, disorganized, and reeks of incompetence.
H&M clearly does not care about their customers or their experience. I’m done wasting my time and money on a brand that cannot fulfill basic expectations. Avoid at all costs if you value your time, money and sanity!

In production countries the water by letting out poison/colour after colouring process etc. In Africa they have dumped so much of what they call "recycling" that the nature is some cities are erased. The agricultur and water is totally unusable. Buy less clothes with quality and with brands that cares about nature and human rights not only saying they are. Even the staff in Sweden is humiliated by H&M using keyholes in employments rights rules. Please we need to stop supporting companies like this.

When working for this group, they pretend to behave like being your friends when actually they are more interested in finding any fault what they can use against you ! This company has a very toxic atmosphere & it is a reason why they are always looking for new staff & offer & advertise positions that no one wants to fill. The reputation is also toxic what they have, many people know this to be true & many people also know that if you wanted to be treated as rubbish this company will treat you with contempt. Be aware if you apply for a position within this group that you future prospects with be extremely limited & you will be fired for any small excuse. Also the management seems very insecure in this group & if they feel you are a threat in any way, yes you guessed it right - You will be fired.
Outstanding customer service
I like the ethical stance on recycling and sustainability that this company has. They are not my favourite shop for design but you can can normally get some good staples. I had a really positive experience from some staff in the Cardiff store recently who went out of their way to help me when I had lost my receipts and wanted another one. They traced my order and issued another gift receipt for me. Big shout out to the Cardiff store - it has definitely moved up in my estimation, and is likely to become a favourite.
Ordered a dress online with discount…
Ordered a dress online with discount and wanted it in large instead of medium. Called H&M customer services to check I could swap it in the store. Reply yes no problem. I said can I do a straight swap as don't want to lose my discount/points (It was a £5 H&M discount). Reply yes no problem. Dress not in stock yet at Stevenage so drive to Luton store. Store refuse to swap the dress and say they have never swapped online purchases. Call H&M Customer Services whilst still in store. Told store can swap the dress and they don't understand why they aren't doing it. I'm paying for the call. I pass phone to cashier ....cashier says we don't swap online purhcases. Customer Services continue to say they can...charges...petrol.....phone call...most idiotic policy in retail ever and store and customer services seem to work for different organisations. Came home and returned the dress which I could have done in the first place if I had not been told I could swap it in store. Such a shame as some nice clothes but completely put off from shopping here.

I have 3 emails offering me 1) a £5 bonus voucher, 2) a 15% discount off my next order, valid for 6 months, and 3) a 10% discount for becoming a new member.
I placed an order for well over the minimum (having waited weeks for one item to become available) and the vouchers weren't applied. Live Chat? He simply didn't understand what the voucher was, or what to do, kept disappearing to 'ask a colleague'. I called in, held on for what seemed like half an hour while she typed. No good. I said look I could cancel and start again. She waited while I checked my hard-to-get item which is now sold out again. I said forget it, I'll leave it as it is. Just had an email. She cancelled my order! Now I'm on another live chat. "Yes, sorry about that. Nothing I can do. Is there anything else I can help with today?"

Returns are easy, though you do have to pay for shipping on the way back. They use bags to pack things, making it easier for someone in a wheelchair to carry home from the drop off point.

I really like H&M clothes and always enjoy giving reviews for the companies from whom I purchase online. Most companies ask us to give a review whether good or bad. Firstly, they put the photo in, not the customer. Secondly, if you say anything thought of as negative, like: Too long, they disallow the review. How can they learn more about customers' needs, if they disallow us from telling the truth? What's not good for one, could be excellent for another. Besides, they could always make different lengths to choose from; other manufacturers do. That's my only gripe about H&M. Otherwise, their products are great and so is their service.

Pandemic Purchasing
Purchasing from H&M has been an absolute delight. Even during the pandemic, my hoodies and crop tops were at my doorstep, with perfect size, condition and packaging. Love the brand.

Then there's the premium line, not a big fan of their spandex blending and polyester lining. Something about synthetics reducing the premium feel of the garment. Not to mention making a quality item uncomfortable to wear as it's unbreathable. Poly lining on a linen jacket, really? It's premium, use viscose or a viscose cotton blend.
