Dishonest, Unreliable and Untrustworthy

My father's car went in for repair at MG Cannon in Dorchester and we have had delay after after delay and ZERO communication from MG Cannon. When we do hear from Paul it's sales waffle and he never keeps to his word, and from Mark, it's a horribly aggressive, confrontational attitude. I'm amazed this garage is still in business.

Great customer service from start to…

Great customer service from start to finish. Very professional. Was able to upload photos of the damage to my bumper. Quote sent out in a timely manner, repair and costs explained (although a fairly small dent in my bumper it had to be removed, a part replaced, sprayed and the sensors/radar re-calibrated). Car was picked-up and dropped-off again post repair with vehicle cleaned. I was kept informed by text of each stage whilst in their possession. The mileage on the car reflected the exact distance both ways between both locations. Very happy with the outcome and quality of the work. Thank you MG Cannon Ivybridge. Most importantly the repair was carried-out by VAG approved repairer therefore maintaining my warranty.

Bad experience

I have recently been dealing with this garage to get my car repair where someone reversed into the front of me. i have been talking to jenny costick who has been dealing with it she ask me to send some images of the damage which i have done straight away which was over a week ago so they could give me a idea how long it will take still not sent the images to there body repair department how long does it take to send a email maybe a long time from swindon ?
Kindertons who are also dealing with my claim on behalf of a-plan they assure me that the garage would work around me to arrange for my car to be pick up what a joke that is .
on speaking to miss costick today about arranging the time for my car to be pick up next week i said i would not be able to be home till 4.00pm she told me all out drivers have to be back by 3.30 not very helpful at tall so much for working around me as i was told
the whole experience i have had dealing with mg cannon ; kindertons and a-plan insurance has been a absoulte joke from start to finish so i have decided not to bother with my claim i would not recommend any of this companys TERRIBLE IS A UNDER STATEMENT

Trying to rip you off -ridiculous quote@Gloucester Branch

What sort of thing do they have for breakfast in Gloucester?I was quoted £7200 to fix some body damage in my car. I’d wish I could upload photos to show how ridiculous this quote is given the actual damage. Car has a bump in the tailgate door, bump in the passengers door panel and a bump in the front bumper. I had quotes for the damage in other places for about £800-1000.

Expensive

I have used M G Cannon several times over the last twenty years for body repairs, the quality of work always faultless. Recently went M G Cannon in Dorchester, firstly I had to chase for the quote and when I received it finally it appeared very expensive. I shopped around and found FMG Repair Services in Yeovil. FMG are approved both by Volvo and Direct Line Insurance. The quote from FMG was less than half the price quoted by M G Cannon, the service and quality of workmanship was faultless. I sent a courteous email to M G Cannon, explaining that I have a been a customer for many years and queried the price being quoted, I have not even had the courtsey of a reply, so hence this review.

Beware of quotes from Ivybridge!

Be very wary of quotes from the Ivybridge, Plymouth branch. I had a small dent and a paint chip covered under my Mercedes Benz minor damage policy. The insurance company approved the work up to £200 and Mercedes referred me to MGC Plymouth for a quote.Their quote was £2,600!!! I took the car to a local body shop who had the honesty to tell me they thought the repair could be fixed by a Paintless Dent Repair, which I was able to do for a cost of £200. Shame on you, Ivybridge, for taking your Mercedes customers for fools.

Superb Service

We were recently unfortunate to have been in a car accident, through no fault of ours. Cannon's Gloucester Branch carried out the necessary repairs to a very high standard. Unfortunately, however, as those who live in the city will know, gulls have a habit of seeking out recently washed and polished cars! When I got home I found a couple of small chips that had been masked by this activity and which I was sure had not been there before. "No problem" said the redoubtable Sue. "Bring it back in." The team inspected their original photographs, which were inconclusive, and gave me the benefit of the doubt. The car was booked in for remedial work at no cost to me. Our plans were disrupted by my wife having to have emergency surgery and my therefore having to ferry her each day either to hospital or our GP for dressing changes. Rebooking at rather short notice took place at a time convenient to us and the work was carried out once again to a very high standard. Such excellent customer service is all too rare these days. I can't comment on their VFM as none of it cost me a penny!
