aisha was a great piercer
aisha was a great piercer, very welcoming, reassuring and the process was very quick + painless :)
Experience was excellent
Experience was great, had a walk in appointment for my first nose piercing and my piercer walked me through every step of the process and every step of the aftercare. The jewellery on offer is some of the best ive seen in piercing shops
Fantastic
Friendly, helpful and caring customer service. They take the time to reassure and seem to genuinely care. couldn't recommend more.
Excellent piercer, but the studio pricing is quite high
I had my piercing done at Metal Morphosis and was pierced by Sophie, who was genuinely lovely. She was attentive throughout, kept checking that I was okay during the piercing, and took her time to make sure everything was done properly. I felt safe and well looked after, and the piercing itself was done very professionally.
My only issue is around pricing and aftercare policy. Metal Morphosis is quite expensive compared to some other reputable studios I checked, and unlike some places, there don’t seem to be any discounts for new customers. I did ask at the time and was told there were none available, which was a bit disappointing.
I have also just noticed that follow-up checks or downsizing appear to require an additional payment. Personally, I feel that at least one check-up or downsizing should be included, or offered at a very reduced cost (less than 50% of the original price), when you’ve already paid a premium for the piercing and jewellery.
Overall, the service and professionalism — especially from Sophie — were excellent, but I do think the pricing structure and follow-up policy could be more customer-friendly.
Thank you so much
I booked an appointment for my daughter to have her ears pierced for the first time based on the online reviews. I was nervous and wanted to make sure she had the best experience. I communicated this to the staff and I can’t really describe how great the response was. My daughter was taken through the process step by step, reassuring her along the way. The person we worked with (I wish I remembered her name to give her a personal call out but if it helps she had a number of beautiful upper lip piercings) was extremely supportive. She made my daughter feel so comfortable that when the piercings happened she didn’t even blink. After she has had no swelling or anything wrong with her ears. So different to the days of guns. The service is a little more expensive than the average piercing but you definitely get what you pay for. I couldn’t be more grateful to the team and our piercer.
Excellent experience at Covent Garden
10/10.
After some extensive research, we picked Metal Morphosis to get my daughter (9yrs old)’s first ears piercing.
We were welcomed by Sienna, she was very helpful at explaining the process. The studio itself was spotless and the standards were top-tier as expected.
Our piercer, Frankie was fantastic.. she was very kind, patient and made my daughter feel completely comfortable.
The healing process has been going really smoothly, which has been such a contrast to some of our friends’ experiences at high-street gun piercing places.
I couldn’t recommend a better place or a better piercer. Thank you to Frankie and staff.
They want a 10-30% tip on top of your jewellery
Piercers are lovely, jewellery is pricey but nice.
I was mortified to be asked for a 10-30% tip when I paid for my (very expensive) stud and piercing fee. In my case that would have been an extra £30-£90, for.. nothing.
It was so awkward. Especially when I'd mentally wrangled over whether/ how I'd afford the jewellery. We don't do this in the UK. We certainly don't ask for an extortionate tip on top of a significant purchase. Workers actually get paid here.
I wouldn't go back there, nor can I recommend this venue for that reason alone. It's ripping people off unexpectedly through social awkwardness. Awful.
In response: you apply pressure for a tip by asking for it. I paid for the piercing and I paid for the jewellery, at the price you set. To be asked for more money after the fact is not ok.
As for “it’s a service industry”, I struggle with why, in 25 years of getting piercings, this has never been asked of me before. I expect it in cafes, where you pay a few quid for a cup of coffee, not in a shops where you've spent £300 on jewellery. It doesn't even make sense that you ask for a tip for the cost of the jewellery as well as a tip for the cost of the piercing.
It's gross, you don't need a better way of asking people for a chunk of extra cash at the till, you need to stop doing it. It's grifting.

Came here today for my first piercing…
Came here today for my first piercing ever - felt so comfortable in the studio. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, hygiene practices were excellent, and the jewellery selection was great.
Fantastic experience
I went to the Covent Garden branch today and had a great experience. Connor was very professional and explained everything step by step, with all the important information included. He made sure that I was happy and comfortable throughout the whole process. Ellen was also very helpful at the front of the shop. All the staff are really nice and I will definitely be going back.
Truly lovely and professional staff
Truly lovely and professional staff! Highly recommend.
Wonderful experience of getting pierced!
All the people in the shop was friendly and knowledgeable. The person who pierced my nose was very patient, listened what I wanted and gave a lot to good advice. It was really good experience.

Great service, great piercing shop.
Awesome first piercing experience
Awesome first piercing experience! I called in on a visit to London to chat with someone about getting something done, and left with an amazing nose piercing, which is healing really nicely.
The staff at the Covent Garden shop were SO patient, knowledgeable, funny and reassuring, they really calmed my nerves and took their time with me.
My first piercing and Conor was…
My first piercing and Conor was absolutely fantastic! He talked me through every part of it, and made me feel at ease. I was nervous but his approach and professionalism made it all go smoothly! Look forward to going back again!
Thank you!
Second lobe piercing 30odd years after my first
Only my second piercing and in the lobe, my first being in the lobe as a teenager back in the 90s with a gun in a chemist.
Was aware how much better and safer a needle piercing is but it all being a bit new was still very nervous.
Elin was lovely, friendly and professional. She took time to find an even position and then ensured I was happy with it before proceeding. I was talked through every step and knew I was in good hands.
Barely felt a scratch. Next to no swelling on the day, and healing without issue.
Would recommend.
Comfortable and safe
I went to the Carnaby Street store where Connor did my first two piercings. He could not have been any better! He was so great at talking me through the process and was a true professional. I felt super comfortable and safe in his hands.
I did a navel piercing and the experience was amazing
I did a navel piercing and the experience was amazing! Summer was very experienced and professional. Highly recommended!! x
Best service and professionalism
Such a great experience, the staff were friendly and so patient while we spent ages picking our jewellery. The piercer was calm and loved their suggestions on lobe placement so much I will be back to get another one soon. I’ve healed incredibly well compared to my previous ones. We brought in my besties daughter for her 1st piercing and they were so great with her too!
I bought a donut pillow online
I bought a donut pillow online.
It’s comfy and soft material however it squishes down and this reduces the size of the hole. Meaning you have to be constantly trying to get your ear in the best position over the hole. I’ll keep trying it to see if I will use it longer term.
Friendly, professional expertise
Everyone was so friendly - and the studio was clean enough for brain surgery, which is always a plus. Octavian and Nera were helpful with advice about jewellery and aftercare. As for the piercing itself, Nera is an artist: meticulous, painstaking, patient and gentle. I couldn't recommend more.
