$500 - hospital
Should have only been one excess to cover all.
This was not made clear and was a surprise when checking into the hospital.
The nurses were amazing and looked after me well. Special mention to Lindsay the night nurse.

There is a very big problem with Medibank and alot of the private health providers - Is self service, you can't make changes or anything to your own cover to be able to upgrade the path or even downgrade... We aren't children you can't make a single change yourself, it's not hard to implement proper UX/UI workflows that allow us as the customer to manage our own coverage that lets us tick the boxes show the extras costs and provided information and legal terms and we submit it gets inspected via a consultant or automated path and then asks us as the client to validate and authentication with multifactor requirements.... The reason this pisses so many of us off is that it wastes so much time for a call and emails or messages when something like a bank will let me self service a damn $700,000 mortgage or quickly update and request a credit card or even a personal loan, but god help us if we want to be able to self service anything ourselves for a private health fund.... Honestly in this time there should be full workflows and integration for this stuff and also look inside the business and realise how much your paying for extra labour when you can just have some decent technical architect and software engineers fix this problem... Outside of the above the practice and given services are good, responsible and never have a problem, it's just that we don't have better transparency and control of our own coverage

The procedure went as expected and the claim was lodged without difficulty. My issue is that the cost of health care is ridiculously expensive. And claims only pay back a fraction of what a service costs.

I have received this Survey - suggesting that I had made a Claim - for which I did NOT.
Although my telephone consultant was professional and helpful - but was unable to fully discuss/assist regarding my new Premium charges and was prepared to transfer me to a separate department. After already spending a lot of time waiting on the telephone - this was unacceptable. The true indepth definition of Customer Service has been lost by larger companies caught by installing - 'processes & procedures' .
