Spoke to Vikki Blair and Laura Jane originally regarding my will then spoke to Erin Murray. Service was fantastic from start to finish couldn’t fault them.

We dealt with Kenny Cameron.he talked us through every stage of the process and what was required. He put things in layman's terms so we could understand procedures. He also answered any queries we had in a reassuring manner.
Kenny is a very friendly, polite and professional guy and is a credit to your company.
We also had a video meeting with Erin Murray with regards our POAs and like Kenny, she dealt with us in a very kind and professional manner.

My name's John and earlier this year, after scrutinising the profiles of many other firms, I commissioned McEwan Fraser Legal, Edinburgh as the estate agents and solicitors to sell my flat at Brunton Terrace, EH7 5EH.
It turned out to be a very good decision.
MFL team handled all the phases of a transaction very important to me with smooth professionalism throughout. First they organised the Home Report and Photoshoot (vital for the production of a persuasive online presence on multiple websites including their own excellent one).
Thereafter they conducted over 30 viewings - very helpfully at times convenient to potential buyers, such as evenings or weekends.
MFL judiciously proposed an Offers Over price a little below the Home Report valuation, and this resulted in a steady flow of offers over the next couple of weeks until the time was right to set a Closing Date. Finally, there were four solid offers, the one we accepted being more than 7% above the HR. The ESPC average in Edinburgh is 2%.
The marketing complete, the MFL Legal team took over, and handled that phase with calm reassurance, finalising all aspects of the Legal completion and Financial settlement to the mutual satisfaction of the buyer and myself.
The MFL team members were a pleasure to deal with throughout the process. In chronological order, my most frequent contacts were Claire Ironside (Marketing), Valtemes Santos (Legal leader) and his assistant, Amie Pirritt. Less frequently, I also dealt with Alexandra Wilson, Giustino Miranda, Ross Jenkins and Sharon Downie.
Finally, I perhaps need hardly say that I highly recommend McEwan Fraser Legal if you want wise, calm, professional and successful help with selling your property.

I couldn’t recommend McEwan Fraser Legal highly enough. From start to finish, the team have been incredibly attentive, professional and helpful, making the whole process feel straightforward and well managed.

A special mention has to go to the Property Department, particularly Vikki and Laura Jane. They genuinely went above and beyond throughout the process, keeping me regularly updated every step of the way, from viewings through to feedback. Their communication, professionalism and attention to detail were exceptional, and it was reassuring to know I was always kept in the loop.

I’d also like to give a special mention to Zoe and Kelsey for all their help getting us set up on the market, including keeping us updated with the home report and any necessary updates. They were both incredibly helpful and made the process of getting everything ready feel seamless.

Amanda was kind enough to arrange a viewing for our property when I couldn’t. She went out of her way to make time to show a buyer around. Outstanding customer service!

Finally, a huge thank you to James for providing excellent advice and support when speaking with our sellers’ solicitors. His knowledge, professionalism and willingness to help were greatly appreciated and made a potentially stressful part of the process much easier.

It’s clear that the whole team genuinely care about providing a great service, and their dedication made a real difference to our experience.

I would never recommend anyone selling with McEwan Fraser Legal if they plan to use the legal/conveyancing service. The provision of this service was actually why I went with McEwan Fraser, however I deeply regret this. The service was beyond poor, it was unprofessional, actively distressing and stressful. I actually felt worse off in the process than if I hadn't had a legal team at all. The fees were equal to a solicitors service and yet I never had contact with a qualified member of staff. My requests for a solicitors support and professional input were ignored. One of the team assigned to me spoke English so poorly she couldn't actually hold a conversation that made sense (I usually wouldn't comment on this, but in a legal setting it's important to be clear and understandable!!) All three unqualified staff members consistently just copy and pasted emails from the buyers solicitor and sent them to me without guidance, interpretation or even bothering to change the grammar. I was never kept up to date on progress unless I asked. I'm convinced that the utterly unprofessional staff were a significant reason in the 6 months delay in sale. I can wholeheartedly advise that no one engage this service, the fact that I never even received an acknowledgement let alone a response when I raised concerns shows how little McEwan Fraser care about their customers. I sent polite emails asking for help to three separate contacts at McEwan Fraser, including the supervisor of the staff I interacted with and got absolutely no response. If I had any fight left in me I'd make a formal complaint but I'm just so glad this ordeal is over, I never want to think about it ever again. I have never in my life left a bad review, and I can absolutely recommend the sales team if you can afford the upfront costs. But the legal team?? Never again!!!!

Edit: Just replying to the reply from McEwan Fraser. I was very clear in my 3 attempts to contact the company for help during the sale process that I live in an extremely rural area without phone signal and requested all contact by email which was ignored unfortunately. I also don't really trust the company to talk over the phone now, as one staff member actually told me that the sale was going to go ahead the next day with no issues over the phone, and even got me to sign a disposition. They then emailed me later with a copy and pasted email from the buyers solicitor stating that they did not even have a loan secured. There was no apology or even recognition of this in further interactions. The sale took a further month and a half from this date. One positive is that they did remove this person from my sale going forward, however this was never acknowledged or discussed I simply was allocated a new unqualified staff member.

I don't ever want to revisit this experience or this company again. I posted this review purely for the information of anyone else in my position, not for gain or reparations. I advise anyone to ensure all communication is backed up with written confirmation.

Again, I have only good things to say about the sales team and would absolutely recommend using their services if you can afford the upfront fees and your own solicitor!

We had a really good experience with Nari and Elvira when looking into purchasing a house in Bishopton. They kept in touch and made sure to make everything easy for us and were helpful with any questions we had!

Great experience with McEwan Fraser so far in helping us buy our first home. Kelsey Robertson has been lovely and great at communicating.

Having never sold a property in Moray before and living in a different area, we looked for a local estate agent. We intended to contact two, but upon meeting Craig Peters, we knew we need look no further. Craig was very personable, knowledgeable, and gave us very good advise of the market at that time. We were so confident in Craig’s ability, that we decided to proceed with both the sale and legal. We felt so lucky that we had found Craig as any little niggle we had, we would drop him a line and he would respond more promptly than we could have expected. Day or night, week days or weekends. I could never praise Craig enough for his empathy, professionalism and self conduct. McEwan Fraser are very lucky to have him and hope they realise what an asset he is to the company. We have sold many properties in the past years, but having Craig as a contact, was the easiest sale we have ever had. If he could be cloned, McEwan Fraser would have no competition.
