Won't stop Calling. Mazuma received my info from a third-party source before I could opt-out. Now, after telling them I'm not interested they (Ruth A) still keeps contacting me. This is simply harrassment. I would never recommend this company to anyone. My advice, choose a local bookkeeper/acct firm in your community.

Thanks to Mazuma, I don’t have to worry at tax season. They handle everything with care and concern, giving the best attention to every detail. I have been with Mazuma for seven years and never regretted my decision. They have been a life saver for my business and can’t say enough good things about Ben Sutton (owner) and the company! Most professional company. Mazuma gets five stars from me!

This is a company that cares about their clients! The people I have worked with at Mazuma have all been friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of their way to help. It's so nice to not have to worry about the headache of accounting and taxes. It's also great that they have an online platform that allows you to upload everything electronically. For someone who is busy, this is a convenient service at a great price.

I registered an LLC online with Incfile. Apparently they have collaboration with Mazuma which means they will offer an hour of "tax advice" for free. According to Incfile you can schedule this session yourself, but in fact Mazuma call you ALL THE TIME to nag for the scheduling of this, and they wont take no for an answer. It has become a huge nuisance.

Been using them for 2 years,

Year 1 was clean and fast for bookkeeping and taxes. However once 2020 hit they no longer want to autofill or really do anything. I've had to do 95% of my own paperwork which would be find if they didn't cost me monthly fee. If you want to pay $1000+ a year for 20 minutes of work on their part go for it. I rather not pay them $20 a minute for work that I mostly did myself

RUN!!! Don’t fall for these guys. Hiring a bookkeeping/tax agency is supposed to remove the daunting headache of accounting and tax filing that comes with running a business, but these guys will add more headaches to you. I used them for 2 years and in the entirety of those 2 years, I could never depend on their bookkeeping services. I still maintained my excel sheet. Their bookkeepers have zero experience or are just lazy. They don’t take the time to review your transactions to ensure their software is properly categorizing them. They instead pass it down to you to do yourself.

When it comes time to file taxes, you will be begging them to file your taxes on time. Since February, I have been following up with these guys day after day, week after week to file my taxes and to date (May) they still haven’t filed it. I have even escalated to their CEO and copy him on all emails, yet they are still dragging their feet and taking weeks/months to respond to messages and still make no progress.

Here is the worst of it all, their website/portal is always buggy. It will keep forcing you to reset your password every time, relink your bank every time, resubmit documents over and over, and buttons not working.

This company needs an operation and customer service overhaul. Complete waste of money and time and will bring more headache to you that you are trying to run away from.

I will recommend you use QuickBooks. If you are not familiar with it or dread starting it up and setting it up the right way, you can hire a freelancer from Upwork or Fiverr to do the initial setup and all. You can then easily maintain it yourself. The come tax season, find you a reputable agency to file your taxes using your bookkeeping on QuickBooks. You will save yourself a lot of headache, time, and money.

Set up an appointment which didn't tell me how they were going to contact me. I sent an email asking for a zoom link as I don't have great cell reception. Had to call their main line 5 mins after my appointment time as I hadn't been contacted yet.
Eventually got a phone call from the original person who proceeded to just ask the list of questions they had in front of me and not listen to my answers. Then when I had questions they said they couldn't answer and I would have to wait until my account was set up.
They then pushed their service on me
They then wanted to do an induction call. I mentioned again that I don't have good cell reception could a video call be done instead and I got told no.
Just a bad experience all round.
This is not my first time dealing with accountants but these were the worst

They failed on their promises when they signed me up. They were not willing to handle basic things like tax returns, tried sneaking charges and getting an accountant to schedule something with you seems impossible. This was all during the first 30 days of me signing up to business premium. Their set up process was horrible and after realizing their mistake, they didn’t want to fix it. I was surprised to see they wouldn’t even try to correct and let a new customers go. They left me stranded right before taxes are due! Horrible

Not a good an practice to be apart of even if you’re willing to work with them.

Wants my credit number and will not start a free trial without. I don’t feel comfortable give them my credit card information and they won’t take bank statements. Seems sketchy to me.

Called to see if I could sign up- no answer and phone just kept ringing- not even an answering service. Online chat was "closed" at 10am in the morning, and looking their address up on google- they appear to be a VERY small office setup across from a Walmart- are they actually a business?
