My boyfriend and I signed up for the beginner class. The owner canceled the class and tried to reschedule us but the options available did not work for our schedules. I reached out to him several times for a refund and never received a response. So to simplify it, he stole our money.

Handled issue over the phone

They make a decent product, but they lack basic communication skills. They don't answer the phone and won't answer emails. I was sent a shipping number 7 days ago and I was told it had shipped. All they did was create a label so it would look like it shipped. Save yourself the trouble and buy from someone else.

Great product. Good technical help. Don’t throw away initial instructions. A little clunky to get help if you loose the number

I have had my Knifesmith forge for some years now. I want to say thank for the great product that has not only allowed me to turn out some nice knifes but also provide hours of fun and enjoyment doing it with my my kids, grandkids and other friends.

The forge is exactly as described. However, one leg was bent during shipping, the exterior paint was scraped up, and all of the fire bricks were smashed to pieces. I will place the blame on packing and UPS.

Product arrived pretty beat up, box looked like the UPS guys kicked it around the truck, surprisingly nothing major was broken just a couple small pieces. Sent them an email with the problems and got an immediate response to fix the problem even though it’s was broken by UPS during shipping. Forge was well built and looks like it will last for many years to come. Great product with even better customer service you’d be making a huge mistake not choosing this company.

Order shipped last week where is it no tracking number bad communication

the package was great no damage. have not fired up the forge yet but looks well built.

I had a great experience with Mathewson Metals. Everything was just like the pictures. Just as heavy duty as I had hoped.When I called because of a crack in the brick, my return call was very prompt. My concern was handled to my satisfaction, and I couldn't be happier.

Customer service is absolutely second to none. If you send an email with any type of question, it will get answered. And I'm 100% certain that any problem, troubleshooting or otherwise, would be solved, if any arise. Top notch product and top notch customer experience. Rest easy knowing that you are not just a cash transaction.

The forge worked very well, and will work better as I tweak it for my needs. It took longer to heat up than I expected, until I readjusted the flame as per instructions in the online video. Then it heated beautifully, and I heat treated two blades prior to tempering, and annealed two other files to become billets for future knives.

Service was excellent. My packaging was solid. My product was solid.

Since I am almost 75 years old, I probably will not be buying another forge, but if I do, it will be another one from Mathewson.

American Made? Check. Service after the sale? Check. The biggest check marks in my book. I will gladly give mark the highest ratings allowed. I would do a six out of five.

I’m extremely impressed with both the quality of the product (burner assembly) and with their customer service. I placed my order and within two days I received notice that the mailing label had been printed but had not arrived at the post office. After a week I called and left a message and Mike responded back immediately. Being a busy shop the label had been misplaced in the shop and my order never shipped. Not only did Mike get it in the mail the next day but including a really nice set of tongs to compensate me for the delay. I felt that was very professional and considerate.
I highly recommend them and will do more business with them in the future.

Arrived quickly and in great condition, I have not used it a lot but it seems great so far. Heavy duty construction and should hold up well.

I only suggest that when shipping out orders from now on is to pack the screws and bolts into a bag or something to prevent those items from being lost.

I ordered this for my husband and he loves it!

Received the burner and it was exactly what I ordered. Fired it up and it produced a good flame. Looking forward to installing it this weekend.

They had great customer service and were willing to help when we needed! We ordered two forges and both work great and are easy to use!
