What a lamentable story this is I have used this company since September of last year and have had over 30 deliveries but the last two or three deliveries have been absolutely shocking the most recent example was an order that was made last week that was then confirmed and a supplier was organised and then the supplier was supposed to be delivering yesterday in anticipation at that IPhoned the supplier to ask what time they anticipated delivering and was told approximately one to two pm by the time 3:30 had come round I decided to phone the supplier to find out what had happened to my order it was explained to me that the order had been taken off the lorry because "my credit limit had been exceeded" I explained to the consignor I don't have a credit limit it is materials market that has made the order and they told me to go back to them I have since logged on live chat WhatsApp and phone and I have got nowhere sadly it seems the only time these problems get resolved is when someone makes a complaint on trust pilot and I'm finding it hard to understand how they've got a 4.4 rating and if there are now credit issues with the builders merchants that they utilize that would signify much deeper problems with the company my order number is 1944-42

an update 16/6/26 16:29 no contact from the company at all via phone just a text message today 16/6/26 stating delivery will be tomorrow no explanation as to why original delivery date not met

further update 17/6/26 had a very pleasant conversation with Jo who explained what had happened it was more an issue with the supplier however it still doesn’t get around the difficulties trying to contact them once there are difficulties,it was supposed to have been delivered today again no joy but this was not materials market at fault the supplier said no one was at home when there was expecting the delivery tomorrow

Would give ZERO stars if possible. Order did not arrive on agreed date. Fine. Lack of post sale care was shocking. I get an invoice email saying my order was delivered when it wasn’t. It is neigh on impossible to get hold of this company via phone. When I do the operator couldn’t be bothered to help and i was inconveniencing him by calling. He then lied and said I would get the order the same day. It did not arrive again. A week later and I have not heard from this company. When I call and eventually get through all I get are lies and excuses. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I found the website easy to use for estimating quantities of building materials I needed for my garden patio and the delivery time was impeccable. I highly recommend Materials market.

The price the delivery man ect all good my only gripe is the delivery outlet couldn't give me a time window apart from 7am to 4pm so basically had to get up early and wait until 1.20pm when my wood arrived.
