Slow to respond/fail to ship/fail to notify customer of delays

Date of order June 22, 2024, date of initial review July 15, 2024. I placed order #72101 on the 22nd, card was immediately charged, 1 corresponding email acknowledging the order, then silence. I contacted CS on the 26th for an update, responses said awaiting fulfillment. I haven't heard a peep or seen any change in the order status. In the meantime, I ordered the same patient cards from the manufacturer and received them. I will update this review if there is a change in status, even if it means contacting my CC company.

****Update 07/31/2024****

After multiple emails, Massage Tools refunded the order. Still not happy with the initial handling of the order, but ultimately they resolved the issue by canceling the order and refunding the money. They have been polite and courteous and have sent numerous emails requesting that I update my review and ultimately, to delete it. If they had put this much effort into the handling of the order and keeping me apprised of the situation, they would have received a more favorable review or no negative review at all. It's apparent that they are more concerned about their "reputation/online review" than they are in actually handling orders promptly and keeping the customer abreast of the situation. Their initial lack of information led directly to the original review.

Some products on our website, like the one you ordered, are fulfilled from third-party manufacturers. Most but not all of those manufacturers confirm an estimated ship date for those orders at the time we request the order's fulfillment. In the case of the product you ordered, the manufacturer was out of stock when we transmitted your order but nonetheless indicated to us that they were in stock. You contacted us on Thursday, July 11th to request a status update on your order. That same day, our order fulfillment team contacted the manufacturer to verify that your order had shipped. However, we did not receive a response from the manufacturer until the morning of Monday, July 15th, at which point we responded to you with a full update on your order.

We agree we should have responded with 1 business day (by Friday July 12th), not 2 business days, to your request for a status update. We have tweaked our process to ensure quicker response times when providing order status updates going forward.

We have also updated our process with this particular manufacturer to ensure that the miscommunication about the inventory availability of products they fulfill on our behalf is not repeated.

Thank you again for your review, as it will help us better serve others in the future.

Ok with sending out damaged products

Ordered a brand new electric massage table with white glove delivery. Table arrived damaged and after 15 days of going back and forth with Massage Tooks with no answer, the owner of the business finally answered my call and stated that he would return the table, however ai would be responsible for return shipping and I would not get my payment back for white glove delivery. The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced in the massage shop industry. Don’t trust these people. They are crooks!

You ordered two Earthlite Ellora tables from us on May 7 with white glove delivery service. Your tables were delivered the morning of June 12. You refused delivery of one of the two tables due to a small tear in the corner of its upholstery. Later that morning you informed us that one of your tables had a small tear and that you had refused delivery.

We consulted with Earthlite about the tear and Earthlite confirmed that their recommended solution was to provide you with an upholstery repair kit. We contacted you to inform you of Earthlite's recommended solution and offer you the following:

1. Complimentary white glove redelivery of your second table (each white glove service costs us $500-600 but we agreed to provide this for free for you).
2. A complimentary upholstery repair kit from Earthlite, per their recommendation.
3. A $200 refund on your order for the delay and inconvenience involved in the redelivery of the second table.

You appeared to indicate that this offer was satisfactory to you by stating that you would accept it. Indeed, we paid over $800 out of pocket to provide a satisfactory resolution and customer experience for you. So, we were surprised to learn through this review that you were unsatisfied with your experience.

We agree that we should have been quicker with some of our communications with you regarding redelivery of the second table. We apologize for these delays. We have implemented process improvements to ensure that we can more quickly handle significant deviations from our normal delivery process so that our customers receive all the items in their order as fast as practicable. Our customers' experience in ordering from us is our number one priority.

The level of support was phenomenal

The level of support was phenomenal. I could always get in touch with someone to help me, whether it was before, during or after the purchasing process. My electric table is the bomb. Massage Tools is awesome!

Excellent table and very reasonably priced!
Product Review: We couldn't be happier with our 2 new tables. Ben was excellent to deal with and very very helpful. We would definitely highly recommend this company and plan on purchasing 2 more at some point.

The customer service of this company is…

The customer service of this company is unmatched!! If you have any questions or concerns at all they are quick to respond and are extremely helpful! They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and I am just so happy I found this company! Purchasing an electric bed is a big decision and Stephanie was there for me from the beginning to walk me thru the whole process! 10/10 highly recommend using this company for all of your equipment needs!! 💓

Fast and easy

Fast and easy. Options for set up or just delivery. Delivery went smoothly and I chose to set up on my own. Was not difficult setting up at all. Table has been amazing. I get reviews all the time on how comfortable the table is. Has options for pedals which makes adjusting the table very easy. Also has hand held adjustments for the table, great for those clients who cannot lay down straight or for my pregnant clients. Added arm rest to give extra width for larger clients.

Product Review: Wonderful! After 15 min using the machine on low I was able to feel my feet after having neuropathy. 3 times a day for 15 min has helped balance and feeling and less pain and feeling normal. My feet are not cold. I was able to climb a ladder. It has changed my life in just a month. My life has changed and I see improvement.

A great experience!

: I have a really high quality portable table and only needed the option to adjust the height during a service. I didn't want to buy an electric table. So, when I found this lift kit, I was thrilled. The whole buying/shipping process was great. I received my lift kit weeks earlier than originally estimated and the delivery driver was super accommodating. Great experience over all.

Super-Light, Strong and Nicely Padded

I needed a portable table that a 77 year-old could carry. This table is amazingly light, especially if the face cushion and holder are stored separately. You just have to remember to open with the legs first, rather than unfolding the support frame first. The massage therapist who came to the house said she has this same model, and had no trouble adjusting the height.

The table was shipped quickly, and came protected in a well-padded, heavy box.

Worry free purchase

All six exam chairs were packaged properly and were without damage. The few items that need attached (arms and headrest) are very easy to assemble, less than 5 minutes total, and the chair is ready to work out of the box. Our company would have no reservations ordering from Massage Tools in the future.

Looks like you updated the response to include the delay from the 4th of July, but didn't acknowledge that we were notified that it hadn't gone out until we called yesterday, 7/5/22. It is also strange that you are directing your response to the public and not us, the client. Very strange customer service tactics. Very strange.

2nd Update:

Hi. There must be some more confusion on your end. We spoke with two people yesterday and were told that it was being sent out yesterday. That would be 6 days late. Not 2 days late as you stated. If it was sent out on the 7/1 and the two people we spoke with yesterday were misinformed; please note that we have not received it as of yet and it has almost been a week. I also asked yesterday if they were overnighting it and they said not. We were assured that ground shipping would deliver in a day from San Diego. Not sure where the discrepancy was here, but we are anticipating its arrival today. Thank you.

1st Update:
They are sending it out today and we should be receiving it tomorrow. Fingers crossed...

Original Review:
Called this place when our delivery didn't show. Now almost a week later the receptionist is asking me how it was shipped and through which shipping company as if I run their business. I don't know how it was sent, but do know that the estimated delivery time provided was Friday 7/1/22. This call seemed extremely sketchy.

Customer ordered massage oil and had an estimated delivery date of 7/1. This was shipped out 2 days late due to temporary backorder and 4th of July holiday. The order shipped FedEx for next day delivery. Last update on 07/06/2022, On FedEx vehicle for delivery

Pathetic

If I could I’d give their customer service minus stars. I struggled with the delivery of a foot pedal and table and try as I might customer service couldn’t be bothered bordering on rude. I can’t fathom who the 85 excellent reviews are!

Ordered replacement steamer

I have owned this steamer before but it was purchased through a different company. I had to replace my old one & I found that you offered the best price, the ordering process was very easy & the communication was excellent! I did have to go one more day with out a steamer as it was supposed to be delivered on a Monday and arrived on a Tuesday instead. It also came without an instruction manual. Good thing I already had a stand assembled and I mostly knew how it worked. I really like the new upgraded version so I don’t have to listen to a timer anymore however a manual would be handy so I’d understand what the different numbers are for the energy level selection.
