I would give 0 stars if I could – unfortunately, that is not possible. I am absolutely dissatisfied with the customer service. I am writing this message because, after almost an hour on hold, a representative advised me to submit my concern by email in order to receive a solution.
Unfortunately, I have already sent emails on 21.07.2025, 29.07.2025, and 30.07.2025 regarding two different issues and have not received any response to date. I find this extremely irresponsible, as I was therefore unable to pay my rent: my check was not processed because my signature specimen, which I submitted in April, was suddenly no longer valid in July. In addition, I was unable to make a transfer, as I would have had to change my password at an ATM in Dubai – something that is impossible for me due to being abroad for professional reasons.
I have never experienced such poor service with any bank. As soon as I return to Dubai, I will close my accounts with this bank.

Worst customer service , they even have no idea about being digital banking system they just introduced the Trusted Device option but how to overcome the errors they won’t know. I complaint 2 months earlier but they don’t care because they don’t know what is banking system they just have bank to roll their own money. Never recommend this bank ever.

I’ve been a victim of credit card fraud ($2,000) with @MashreqBank for 24 months.
They rejected my dispute within hours, let interest grow, and are now threatening legal action for AED 8,871.

Poor service. I reported the issue about our card machine, already one week ago and no one come to take action. How many times to follow up, first follow up customer care said nobody pick the complain second follow up customer care said since the I raised the issue they pick the complain but nobody come. Yesterday somebody called for location but nobody come again. Until now no solution to our machine. This is how you treat your customer. Actually already informed to our company maybe they will change another bank, hopefully because it takes time to take action for any issues not only in our branch.

I want to close my bank account for some emergency purposes for last one year when the bank call me I explain to them they told it's okay to call customer service but when I am going to to connect with customer service there communication is unable to connect.

inquiry. I spoke with a representative named Abdulrahman, and I was extremely disappointed with how I was treated.
While seeking clarification about my cashback bonus, I explained that I could not locate the relevant details in my online account. Instead of assisting me calmly and professionally, Abdulrahman raised his voice at me repeatedly and kept saying “it’s in your statement,” despite my explanation that I was already checking and could not find it.
I clearly told him not to raise his voice and requested assistance, or to transfer the call to someone else if he could not help. His tone and attitude were dismissive and unprofessional, and it felt as if he had no interest in helping. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially coming from a customer service representative.
I have never experienced such treatment in any customer service interaction, and it reflects poorly on the standards I expect from Mashreq. I hope this matter will be investigated and appropriate action taken to ensure better service quality in the future.

Very very poor customer service. I haven't seen any bank with this kinda poor customer service.a credit card with a good track record and never before default even when there was a hug outstanding, for the first time due to genuine issue with my current account i couldn't pay the Credit card on time bt was paid within a day and just made a genuine concern to waive the charges to which they declined my request. Such a pathetic service. I had now requested to cancel my card and would no more b banking with mashreq both personally and professionally.

Late payment minimum fees are too high.. a common man shouldn't take credit card from this..
They are fraud transactions..if payment is delayed due to blocking of card, they will add charges like sky..

What a bad joke. It’s impossible to reach anyone, the app keeps crashing, and the only contact option is a bot that disconnects every time I try to ask how to resolve your issue.
I recently moved to Dubai, and before opening the account, you should inform customers that:
2/ You are not allowed to deposit more than 4000 AED in cash (even after providing my employment contract, etc.), and this restriction applies indefinitely.
1/ They block incoming transfers (even from family members, since I was not allowed to deposit cash).
As of today, I had to open a different account just to be able to pay my rent. What a joke of a company.

I have been a corporate customer of Mashreq Bank through my company, and this has been the single worst banking experience of my professional life.
Over $50,000 USD of my funds have been withheld without justification for more than two months. Despite submitting all required documents for KYC and following every instruction given by the bank, I was completely ignored.
I opened multiple complaints – each one promised a callback “within the next business day.” Not a single one came. I sent dozens of follow-up emails – zero replies. My account shows no movement, and my funds are still blocked.
Their staff kept asking the same questions repeatedly, without ever reading my previous responses. It felt like they were deliberately stalling. Meanwhile, my business suffered serious losses: contracts were cancelled, penalties imposed, and I couldn’t access my own money.
Mashreq Bank has displayed a shocking level of incompetence, lack of transparency, and total disregard for customer rights. Their so-called complaint resolution process is just PR talk – in reality, they do nothing.
I’ve already reported this to the UAE Central Bank via the Sanadak platform.
I strongly warn foreign investors and entrepreneurs to stay away from Mashreq.
