STOP SENDING TEXTS WHUCH ARE NOTHING TO DO WITH ME

I keep getting texts from Marston addressed to someone called Carrell Cmpbell who is not ne and who I dont know. I have told them repeatedly that I am not this person and to stop sending me texts, which they have completely ignored. They obviously don't care and have taken no steps whatsoever to correct their misinformation and stop sending these unwanted Spam texts.

Disgusting bullies

Bailiff turned up at my door at 6am and terrified my poor mum who had not heard him knocking as she struggles with hearing (a legitimate disability that you pricks by law need to accommodate for, not mock). She opened the door to let our cat out and was met by a 6ft man in all black demanding payment and complaining that he had been knocking for ages. What did you possibly expect when turning up in the pitch black at 6am? I had submitted evidence a week prior when I received a letter from Marston, showing my bank statement proving the parking fines had been paid months ago and yet they still turned up and threatened to clamp my car if no payment was made. We ended up having to pay so my car wouldn’t be clamped- and the bailiff did nothing but mock my mum when her card initially declined, he offered no identification so for all we knew he was a burglar, and he was completely dismissive and unhelpful when we mentioned that this debt had been cleared months ago. I’ve submitted a complaint and yet heard nothing back. I’ve tried calling about 10 times and the company have very tactically made it so that it is impossible to reach a human being to discuss issues with. As someone with a qualifying LAW DEGREE, I am extremely concerned with the actions of this company, and I will not stop until I’ve received all my money back. I want compensation for scaring my mum, and acknowledgment that you hire inadequate bullies who clearly only experience the power they so desperately desire in life by turning up at people’s doorsteps and intimidating them into submission. I said to the bailiff “you’ve turned up in pitch black to a house of just women at 6am dressed like a burglar and you’re not shocked that you frightened us” to which he replied “I didn’t know it was only women here” to which I replied saying that’s exactly my point. If you don’t know the door you’re knocking on could host someone vulnerable, then you should adjust your behaviour to be non threatening, and conscientious. God forbid they try this with someone with mental health problems, a disability, or someone elderly. Vile, vile, vile company. What bad karma you all have coming for you!

Vile bunch of people

Bloke randomly turned up, thinking he can bully his way making threats on taking a £30k car for a couple of £600 tickets. Told him to take the car instead he sat there for 2 hours. Even his car looked like the engine is falling apart. Asked him if he enjoys his job and his expression said it all. This sums up everything that’s wrong with this country.

Yet another bullying call from mr…

Yet another bullying call from mr jones! Refused to allow me to set up a payment plan and said if I didn’t pay £425 by 3pm he’d up it by another £125! If I haven’t got £425 I’m definitely not going to have £550! He hung up on me then proceeded to keep calling me on my phone and via WhatsApp!! Proper little man syndrome! Called the council and explained the situation and luckily they put a hold on it and contacted Marstons and told me not to pay him anything! Totally bully boy tactics, these people are absolute scum!

Sort your system out

They keep sending recovery notices to my mother's care home even though the liability order was paid to the council in early December 2024. All court fees we're removed and recovery fees. This debt was from April 2020. Please stop sending notices to my mother's care home she has nothing of value there and there is no debt. I rang the council and they said for some reason it's not showing up on your site and she's onto it. There's has been three letters sent all In all three after the debt was paid in full.

I tried ring them the automated system is tragic I got through all it's ramblings to be sent a link to online chat number 40 in the queue. I gave up and rang the council.

My mother left that property in 2020 the property she had the debt in. It was covid my father died and she sat with his body for week before help came, she can't walk god knows how she survived but this company is just reminding us all about the trauma she went through all over again. Leave us alone and sort your wretched system out

I'm the appointee she is frail leave her alone

Disgusting bullies

Wow!! What a truly horrendous experience with these people! They turned up mob handed, 4 huge men with 2 more parked down the road, No ID shown at all, No letters received from the clean air zone people or the debt recovery business, demanding £509 immediately or car is being removed, Explained that as a single Mum who works 45 hours a week to support herself she doesn’t have a sore £500, agent laughed at her, she was shaking so much she couldn’t get the card out of her purse, she told him that he was taking food out of her children’s mouths and he had another little laugh. Absolutely vile, unprofessional and lacking in any kind of intelligence.

Bullies

I owed £60 for a parking ticket to the council. I thought that I’d paid it all, but apparently I’d fallen short by £10 (something I will go back and check). The occupant of my previous address contacted me to say that he had received a letter from bailiffs. I haven’t lived there for over a year and changed address when I moved. I sent the £10 with an extra £75 as requested. The current occupant then contacted me again to say that he’d had another letter from marston recovery saying that I now owed £320. I contacted the officer via the number that was given to me on the letter. I queried the debt, for the officer to tell me that this was a different outstanding bill (again for £10) and that I had no option but to pay the full price. I was confused by this so began to question it in a non aggressive manor, just to get to the bottom of it. I was obviously very confused and concerned. The officer very quickly became impatient and his manor changed to aggressive. He told me that I was wrong and that I had 30 minutes to pay the whole fine. I’m not sure what the legality of it all is, but in the letter it said that I could contact the officer to negotiate if I could not pay all of it at once. No such option was given as the officer ended the call abruptly after telling me that I had half an hour to pay.

On the whole, there is a chance that this was my mistake. What upsets me is the fact that I was CLEARLY just confused and definitely didn’t approach it in any kind of aggressive manor, but the officer was pushy and forced me to pay immediately which has caused me massive problems financially being a working class father to a 3 year old.

£10 mistakenly unpaid resulting in a £320 should be criminal. Especially in the manor that they approach it. These people are bullies, whether they’re protected by the law or not, they are bullies. The council should be ashamed using this service for their collection.

They tend to turn up at your door post…

They tend to turn up at your door post a letter which is dated three days or a week before the actual date. The fact is they need to send a letter or letters before they turn up at the door. It seems that’s not the way anymore, they’re obviously that eager to rape people of their money if they owe it or not. Even if you’re fighting stage for cancer and you’re severely disabled that doesn’t matter to them just saying Smythe or Smith. That old chestnut. Just to let you know, people have cameras nowadays they record dates and times and footage of the people’s there doors . By the way, not everybody lives at the address that you’ve got funny that .

Bullying Marston Services

Why are they allowed to get away with this. They look at you as guilty before you're innocence can be proved.

I called up to make a payment plan. The call got routed to, chat, which looks like it was then routed to South African.

I tried to reason with them about the balance of their plan. To cut a long story short, I made a payment asking for the payment link, which was prrog6 enough that I was complying with their plan. 10 days lapsed and they've clamped my car, I'm to make the next payment on the 29 of this month.

Called the guy at work. This guy is the worse piece of scum, you would ever talk to, no understanding, no compassion, I mentioned to him, about paying. He stated I have until 9pm tonight. I thought, I'm going to get paid in 4 days. Ask him to wait untill then. He stated that not paying by 9 pm tonight is a declaration of non payment and the car would be towed, which would incur another £100.

This is so depressing. This has all transpired because my car is registered aty family home and I live withy partner.

Change the log book, to where you have the car in the evening.

Leeches

Somehow my name got put on council tax for my property even though I’ve never been responsible for the bills at the address… I didn’t figure this out until I received a letter from Marston Recovery stating I owe £1,700 for unpaid council tax… I contacted them explaining I am not the bill payer for the property and never have been and also that I’ve been unemployed for some time due to being in remission… was clearly ignored as a bailiff came to my property at around 1pm yesterday stating I’ve got until 2pm to pay over £2,000 otherwise they’ll be back to take goods… The female bailiff had a terrible attitude and didn’t seem to have 2iq’s to rub together, telling me I should “pay my bills like the rest of society” when I told her nicely more than once that I’m not responsible for the bills at the property… She then rudely walked away threatening me with a prison sentence, silly sausage, that’s intimidation and although it didn’t work on me, it’s still not allowed.

Wouldn't help with a payment plan I…

Wouldn't help with a payment plan I could afford, didn't care about my circumstances, wouldn't answer the phone to me only wanted to deal with web chat, couldn't speak to a supervisor.

I get it's their job to recover money owed. But how do these people sleep at night when they go home, do they go home and think to themselves I've done a good job today.... They honestly must hire the most horrible people without consciences they can find.

Disgusting company when I said I couldn't afford the repayments they said they must take. Their reply was well we will have to charge you another £235 on top for the privilege of not being able to afford the original payments. The poor get poorer because of policies.....

The great Pretenders

This Company pretends to be nice but in fact just wants payment at any cost - it does not care about your circumstances although it has all these amazing awards displayed on their website which I believe need to be investigated and reviewed- Not only is it inflexible in it's approach in terms of payment but threatens to increase the bill once you contact with bailiff bills unless paid in their stipulated time. I waited over ten minutes with silence to be put in touch with a self proclaimed specialist advisor who did nothing more than what the first 'advisor' requested. So a £45 minor driving offence becomes £280 automatically due to the council sending the paperwork to the wrong address whilst I have serious life threatening surgery due and unable to work - no help at all - just a small mention to Stepchange and left high and dry in terms of chasing it up with the council just before Xmas. A bunch of heartless soulless uncompassionate money grabbing drones in terms of governance there's a lot of work to do. I had no problem paying the extra off but with everything else it's really shitty practice
