I’d give them no stars if that was an option!!

Enforcement office turned up at 7am, obviously didn’t gain access so used the trade button to gain access to the communal area and left his notice of attendance right beside the entrance door, for all to see!!

He then proceeded to slap a immobilised notice on my car which was clearly displaying a valid blue badge, in MY NAMR, stating he would be returning to clamp and remove!!

Both actions are illegal and to try bully and intimidate me!!

Wrong person to try that with!!

Wouldn’t even give 1 star if possible

Wouldn’t even give 1 star if possible. Fraudulent company trying to squeeze every penny out of people. Just read on online that these cow boys have been in trouble previously for unnecessary charges when trying to collect debt. Even if you tell them you’re appealing the debt they will harass you constantly. Stand your ground with these absolute clowns.

I was on the phone trying to have a conversation with the person on the other line at Marston Holdings to inform them that I would like to change the date of the payment arrangement so as I can make the payment. But I told very rudely. tis this wasn't possible. I'm wondering if this is legal if you are trying to make sure that the payment will reached up, but you would like to change the date?

I did not like the way I was spoken to. It was incredibly disrespectful and aggressive.

A little more kindness and empathy for people situations would go a long way..!

Helpful call center staff, but company operations involve seizure and damage

Helpful call center staff, but company operations involve seizure and damage
The phone staff were actually very helpful and friendly, which was the only positive part of this experience. However, the company's operational practices are an absolute disgrace. They executed an illegal seizure of my vehicle, then abandoned it a third of a mile away right at a highway junction, creating a safety hazard. They never notified me; I only found out because a neighbour spotted it. The car was returned with a flat battery because the agents left the lights on, alongside fresh bodywork damage to the side panels. When challenged, they try to claim they just "instruct separate compounds" to avoid accountability. The pound used is operated by NSL, which is wholly owned by Marston Holdings. While the phone agents do their best to be polite, the core business model involves property damage, public safety hazards, and passing the blame to their own subsidiaries.
Long gone are the days of the old school where people expected you to address them as Sir, Mr, or Ma'am. The staff on the phones are helpful and understanding. However, I believe those rigid, old-school types are still there behind the scenes—they just answer the emails. Nothing friendly from them, just accusing you and blatantly calling you a liar. My advice to anyone dealing with this is to be positive with the call handlers on the phone. When answering their emails, don't bite back. Just press Google AI, send them a screenshot, and the AI will send a bulletproof email right back to them.

P.S. I've updated my review to three stars as I found your phone staff, helpful and friendly

weak

cowardly- threatening and deceitful- get a proper job- karma- bet a large proportion get a chronic/terminal illness- Honestly are these people not educated at all? imagine working for Marston :) :) failed life

Edward Birtwistle and co- don't look back in anger when it happens- they have 30 charges registered and they are about to be involved in a national petition to be removed

as for the enforcement agents . . . really? Do you call these men- they are scared shitless- the sorts of men whose partners definitely cheat on them. Look in the mirror with a large bottle of whisky and cry that you have spend decades to only just become and enforcement agent - what a weak achievement

Marston’s are mercenaries

Marston’s are mercenaries!
They set their ‘recurring card payments’ to come out of your account one minute after midnight on the day you agree to pay.
If you agree a payment on the day you get paid you are asking for trouble.
Make sure you set the payment up for the day after you get paid because Marston’s WILL go to the next stage which is enforcing the debt so you will have extra money to pay.
Play them at their own game and don’t let the ‘nicely nicely’ approach fool you into falling into the traps they will set for you.
Marston’s is a debt enforcement agency after all and they will try every trick in the book to get you to pay more than you need to.
They’re the worst debt agency I have ever come across and I am going to get my solicitor to look into how they operate and I WILL sue them for gross negligence if anything is untoward as seems to be the case.

Woodlark Bordon

Woodlark Bordon
The meat meals did not have ‘large’ or any other size pig in blanket.
There was only Turkey or Chicken left so we had 3 Turkey with a side of Cauliflower Cheese, which was cauliflower with cheese melted on top. There was no cheese sauce. The Vegitarian option came with a gravy on it. Was this vegetarian or the same as the rest of us got. To top it all, we waited 45 or more minutes for the meal to come out.

False claims and hide behind data protection

knowingly chasing debts sent to historic locations just to trigger massive enforcement fees. When caught, they use "data protection" as a false excuse to refuse to email evidence of what you actually owe, purely to justify sending an agent to turn up at your place of work to inflate the bill.Their customer service team claims it takes 10 days for compliance to email evidence and admits you cannot speak to them on the phone. Despite this 10-day internal backlog, their self-employed agents show total disregard for due process, leveraging their own company's delays as a high-pressure tactic to force immediate payment before you can even verify the debt. Avoid, complain to the Enforcement Conduct Board, and escalate immediately.

I currently have the ENFORCEMENT…

I currently have the ENFORCEMENT CONDUCT BOARD investigating Marstons Holdings Limited. Guess what? Their provisional report, which I have rejected, sides with Marstons! I suspected that this would happen!

A lady called Michelle Pinnick (ECB) initially picked up my complaint in January 2026. She recently handed my case to her colleague, Catherine Khan, who has delivered a shocking investigation report. I am beginning to wonder if all persons that work for Marstons and Enforcement Conduct Board are thick, dishonest or both!

Marstons Agent, Matthew Richard Davies, breached all legal processes that a Bailiff must follow when approaching a member of the public. I had to call the police in 19 Sept 2025 due to his unprofessional behaviour. CAD 1747/19sep25. I am going to take Mr Davies to court for Public Disorder offences. Marstons office staff and Director of Operations, Matthew Hayes, ignored my email correspondence (10 emails) informing them in Sept 2025 that I am “a vulnerable person” with mental and physical problems. They breached the legal process and towed my car 16 December 2025 then auctioned it for less than 40% of its market value.

I am going to take Marstons to court and sue them for £7,000 (car value), loss of £500 worth of belongings in my car plus £75,000 damages to my mental and physical health!

DO NOT LET THEM BULLY YOU AND FAMILIARISE YOURSELF WITH THE LAW AROUND DEBT RECOVERY PROCESS!

Spoke to Mathias at Marston Holdings 😊

Spoke to Mathias ( meaning "Gift of God" ) ..... and he was really a gift from God to myself! I had previously discussed my inability to pay a court fine with Marston's suggested amount - Jordan helped with my account too and was EXTREMELY helpful - I explained the state of my health, both mental & physical - Over the last couple of days, a discussion with Welfare Department at Marston Holdings was undertaken and the decision for my account to be handed back to the Magistrate Court was decided for a Fine - this will allow myself to pay the fine over a period of more than 6 months ( I am hoping to pay over 10-12 months ) - this makes a massive difference to my well-being and I really wanted to write this review to say thank you to Marston Recovery ( Holdings ) for this final decision where I can actually pay this fine - they made it actually POSSIBLE! Mathias - you were so helpful, courteous, professional - you actually deserve a promotion, truly ( and also, your name rocks, Blessings to you ! ) ✨ Marston's has such a bad rap for pressuring people to pay in a limited time ( sometimes necessary if people have point blank refused to pay previously ) ...... but not in my case - so I suggest that if you have severe health problems then let them know and they can help you- Sometimes you have to be willing to make a few calls to Marston's too, until you get the understanding that you deserve! 😊

BULLIES!!!!!

BULLIES!!!!!!
They are an absolute shocking useless company that bully people into paying

1st experience with them a direct debt was mysteriously cancelled resulting in bailiffs coming to my home adding charges to a bill I was already struggling to pay.

But my worst experience with them was for several fines from TFL who wouldn’t accept a payment plan meaning it had to to marstons

I called for help regarding a bailiff at my door who was being unreasonable to be told it’s nothing to do with them they couldn’t help I had to pay in full - the bailiffs don’t have to offer a plan etc
This was 1 day after the payment was due on a fine I had made a payment but according to them it wasn’t enough and was only a token payment meaning it was acceptable for the baliffs to come out- amazing how quick that was organised

3 phone calls to them and no help was offered - only told to speak to the bailiff who refused to talk after demanding full payment

When asked who I complain to regarding the bailiff- guess what …. it’s to Marstons the same people who told me it was nothing to do with them, they couldn’t help.
They employ the baliffs !
Several emails to the complaints with no response for over 4 weeks & even when they did it wasn’t any help what so ever!

Then the latest- I set up payment plans via the app which I pay monthly including to the bailiff who according to them can turn up again as he didn’t agree to a plan he also added £250 extra costs.
The payments have to be paid by the 6th of each month however I paid it before to be on top of things to be told today no it’s a plan you have to pay on the 6th- that’s your date. No one has ever told me I can’t pay before and that it has to be paid on that date only
You can pay on the app and pay when you want or pay in full so as long as it’s paid before my date - surly that’s all that matters!
So now I have to wait 2 days to call back to see if my plan is in place - which they will probably want more money or will send bailiffs

They are the reason people become ill with stress and suffer - like they told me it’s not means tested so they don’t care you don’t have it or will have to go without to give them
They are heartless bullies

School boy bullies company

I wish i could give them no stars. I had 2 enforcement officers turn up today for a parking fine that 1 doesn't belong to me and 2 the person doesn't live with me anymore 3 is for a male. I have spoken to one officer back in February of this year and he told me to send my council tax letter via email which I did and had no issues with that officer as he was nice and kind. Today the officers ( different guys) told me that they can kick my door down and take my things from my home all while I have a very vulnerable 17 year old living in my house. All what they told me today was lies as I was told on the first visit in February that they cannot kick my door down when there is a vulnerable person in the property. I have emailed Marston again today and hope to settle this issue as being threatened by 2 men in a full female household doesn't look good for the company it makes the men look like school boy bullies. It's a shame I can't take this company to court for the actions of their 2 officers. If no response in the next two weeks via email about the issue today I will be making a complaint to the enforcement conduct board. Update 13/08/26 I got an email from Marston about my complaint saying that the officer said that he will show his ID. I have a door camera which states different. I will be emailing the ECB with my door footage and everything that my disabled child has been diagnosed with and some other evidence. I pray and hope that the ECB actually listens and holds the officer in question accountable. If not I will keep going higher until then. The nasty enforcement officers who think they know the law outweigh the good enforcement officers that actually want to help and listen and do their job as peacefully and respectfully as they can.

Threatening to send baliffs for someone who doesn't live here

A friend uses my address due to not having an address made me fully aware of whats to come.

So usually i send a standard email stating the truth:

XYZ doesn't live here this is a mailing address 3/4 debt collectors accepted this and i would charge xyz for coming here and £/minute for dealing with this. Marston's however had said they are going to send a baliff to my home to make sure they don't live here. LIKE WTF?

You cannot send a baliff to my home to ensure someone doesn't live here like right to private life and even the FCA handbook is aganist this pratice apparently they got angry because i told them how much i would charge them if they came to my home which i now put higher to £1000 if they came to my door and £500 per minute because these guys are absolute cowboys.

This isn't my debt, Proved was a mailing address. I have better things to deal with then stuff that is nothing to do with me.

Email literally states:

"In cases where the liable parties are known to the occupier, one of our enforcement agents will need to attend the property to verify the information provided is correct."

^ LIKE WTF?

Even the can't pay or we'll take it away lot was like yeah thats cool we'll leave you alone.

Even the people who hired this company removed my address!

Like what proof do u need?
