Elderly pilgrims left without promised services – Manasiki Travel

My mother is currently in Mecca performing Umrah with a group organized by Manasiki Travel, and the experience has been extremely distressing.
The Umrah package purchased months in advance through Manasiki Travel was supposed to include accommodation close to the Haram, meals, transportation, and visits to important holy sites. Instead, the group was placed in a hotel much farther away, forcing several elderly women to walk long distances or pay for taxis.
Meals that were supposed to be included in the Umrah package have not been provided as promised, and transportation that was part of the private package is now being charged separately.
A particularly troubling incident occurred during the transfer from Medina to Mecca. The pilgrims were transported in cars while their luggage was placed in a separate vehicle handled by the organizer. My mother’s suitcase was returned later by the organizer, and when she opened it valuable personal belongings were missing. The incident has been reported to the authorities.
Communication with the organizer has been extremely difficult, with calls often going unanswered when travelers try to ask questions about the services they paid for.
Most of the travelers in this group are elderly women, some traveling for the first time after saving for many years to perform Umrah. They expected the services they paid for to be honored and to receive proper support during such an important pilgrimage.
I hope this review helps future pilgrims carefully consider their options before booking an Umrah trip with Manasiki Travel.
