We furnished two apartments with MdM in…

We furnished two apartments with MdM in Mallorca, but are reluctant to use them again due to their terrible communication. The last order (chest and sofa) was 6 week late and I had to reschedule my flight 4 times because I received wrong information about possible delivery dates several times. I had to talk to MdM, to the delivery company and another delivery company 10 times before finally getting a correct delivery date. This was over a time period of almost 8 weeks . In total it took the sofa and the chest to get here 10 weeks. I wrote to customer service several emails, never even received an answer . This sort of communication is absolutely unheard of. The long delivery time would not have been such a huge problem, if it would have been communicated professionally and appropriately.
Unfortunately, with our latest order, I’m experiencing exactly the same thing again. I’m waiting for another sofa, and again the delivery date has been delayed by three weeks. The three weeks have passed and nothing has happened, no information, no mail. I have tried to call customer service, the store, no answer. The worst of all is, that nobody ever apologizes.
Perhaps, someone out there can check my order to see, if it will arrive in this century.

Not 1 order came in undamaged!

I am (or was) a regular customer of Maisons du Monde because they do offer good and beautiful products for a fair price. Lately all orders I did, had at least 1 faulty product, but customer service always found a solution for it. But with my latest received order, 1 of 4 chairs came out damaged. I only opened the undamaged boxes after a few weeks (so not within 72 hours as stated in their general conditions). I 've sent pictures which perfectly show that the chair comes out of the box, and is still in its packaging! But no, just a standard answer that I needed to contact within 72 hours of delivery.

EDIT: I can't react on a Trustpilot answer, so here's my order number: 112900721

EDIT 19/07/22: New response from customer service:
We are very sorry to hear that your reply is not satisfactory.

However, as stated above, Maisons du Monde offers its customers 72 hours to check the products and report any problems.

After that time, we cannot take any action.

THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE

THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE! AVOID!

is 3 weeks I am trying to contact them in regards a bed and mattress I bought for my new aprtment in Paris. It was supposed to atrrive in a week time and I am still here with no news and such a poor and incompetent customer service that I am not sure I will ever see my money again!
Avoid! the company is a joke

Had issues, customer support found a solution to our problem. Their products are very nice and the quality is good for the price paid.

Screws were missing and nobody you can reach to help. Even when requesting to return the package no answer is given so stuck with a table that I can't use.

We were highly disappointed with the…

We were highly disappointed with the rude and unhelpful staff at their beaugrenelle magasin. We spent a fortune to buy a variety of stuff. They were short of a chair and we were asked to retrieve it after one week. And when we went back after one week at 8:15 pm, the staff refused to hand it over since the store was closed even though the closing time is 8:30 pm. I requested that the chair was already paid for and lying just in front and they just needed to hand it over to me, having travelled 7 kms just for this. But no success. Very rude attitude Come on guys. Have some respect for customers who are the reasons for your livelihood.

Horrible experience

This is f****** insane! I called the English customer service to ask what discount they can offer if we would decide to keep the sofa. In my first call I had been transferred to the French hotline. I don't speak french and after I could not press any number because I wasn't able to understand the line was dead. In my second call the agent asked me for further information about the damage ( I already explained 1 million times and we send photos ). When I AGAIN explained she just hang up!!!!!!!
What the hell is wrong with Maisons du Monde???? How can I reach a competent person that is able to understand and help? This company is just unbelievable!!!!!!!!

Horrible experience! We ordered a sofa (order number #116360183) for our holiday apartment:
1) on the expected delivery date nothing happened. After WE contacted THEM they told us they can't reach the delivery company and can't tell us IF and WHEN the sofa could be delivered
2) we decided to wait for it and hoped they would be able to solve the issue
3) a couple of days after we flew back home, we received a new delivery date - only one week later after we left
4) in our absence the sofa was delivered (so we had to arrange with neighbors for the delivery on our behalf). But after one other week a SECOND SOFA had been delivered - W*f! That just left us speechless
5) a couple of days later, they picked up the wrong sofa again (and again we had to arrange with our neighbors to be there)
6) finally we went back to our holiday home, unpacked the sofa and found it was broken! There is a huge cut in the armrest - probably happened when they unpacked it (why the hell would the delivery guys unpack OUR sofa??!!)
THIS LEFT US DESPERATE AND WE CAN ONLY WARN ANYYONE TO ORDER BIGGER ITEMS WITH MAISONS DU MONDE! NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Absolutely terrible service

Absolutely terrible service , I was expecting my product almost a month ago. I’ve been in touch with customer services 3 times , they promise to call back with an update but they never do .
Update - so by taking care of my issue this means offering me a refund . This was after me calling about 5 time and receiving the same updates or no updates since the original delivery date of 20th April .

Great range of products

Great range of products, even though one or two things I would have liked were out of stock – simply because they seem to be too popular. When I had an inquiry, I found the Facebook messenger online help super fast, courteous, respectful, and very efficient. I dealt with Martin and he was magnificent!

Cheap and nasty products, one arrived broken. Have been chasing refund for six months.

We ordered a cupboard from them. Two arrived. One was broken. Both were shockingly bad quality and looked and felt cheap.

That was six months ago - we've been chasing them every week for a refund. When you phone them, no-one answers; they delete your emails without reading them 90% of the time and if they respond at all they tell you you'll be refunded soon. Nothing happens and you start again.

Terrible Customer Service

We have had a terrible experience with Maisons du Monde Brussel’s customer service. We have been trying to get into contact with them for the last weeks with no success in order to get a part of the sofa bed replaced that was delivered broken. We have sent multiple emails and tried to contact them via social media to no response or that they are not connected with their customer service team. Upon trying to call the customer service team, we have been continuously forwarded and put on hold for over an hour until there is no response. We would not recommend purchasing from them as their customer service team is very unresponsive and difficult to contact. If anyone from the customer service team for Maisons du Monde sees this, our order number is: 115904053.

Seriously appalling 'online' customer service

Seriously appalling service in Portugal. Delivery wasn't the date agreed, its several weeks early (anyway.....) Item arrived broken - mirror smashed to pieces, packaging looked like it gone 10 rounds with Mike Tyson - so I rejected the item at the door.
TBH all the other items looked like they'd been thrown out the delivery van at 30mph. Now have spent 3 days & many hours trying to organise a re-delivery of item or refund (neither of which I have successfully achieved).
My order online shows as being delivered (somewhere in the universe) so I can't apply for a refund of the broken item online until the status changes ...maybe.
Emails not answered you can try 'servico.clients@ Maison du monde .com' you won't find this info on the website, the lady in the shop gave me this email address.
We have tried to call customer service which is 'their recommended / preferred contact' 15 times - yet they won't speak to you in Spanish, Portuguese or English - they put you on hold.... forever.. until it cuts you off.
I have been to our local MDM shop but they can't help as I bought online.
For your sanity, I would recommend not to order on line as you don't have any customer service whatsoever.
Buy online at your risk of loosing the will to live listening to their on 'customer service' on hold music that seems to sing 'I do what I want' except ... I can't as I am stuck on a laptop & my phone trying to sort this out :-(

Update - I’ve received a outlook message that my email to the email address provided by your rep in the shop (Mar Loulé) has failed. Só no way to make any contact with MDM works what só ever.

Very poor customer service

Nice products, but the customer service is very poor. I hoped my past experience in this respect was an incident, but unfortunately I experienced it again. Difficult to reach the customer service, very unresponsive and unwilling help. I will never order any products at Maison du Monde anymore.

order number 203194569 I have still not received my refund!!!

I paid for a tv unit to be delivered to my home adress in Mauron I paid the delivery charge. I received an email saying my furniture was in the warehouse in Rennes ... I told them I had paid for it to be delivered to my home adress. I called the company who insisted I had asked for the delivery to be in Rennes ... I asked why when I had paid a delivery charge and I have no transport would I ask for it to be delivered to Rennes ... 100 k away!! I emailed yesterday no one replied so I had to spend time on the phone today with absolutely no suggestion as to how we could get this furniture... I then said fine cancel the order and reimburse me ... I have had no correspondence regarding this but the courier company have sent me two emails this evening saying I haven’t given them a date when I am going to collect my item !!! I am fuming!

Avoid this company for its terrible quality and worse customer service

We bought a coffee table from them. Looked nice on the photo, two arrived (we only ordered one), one broken, both rubbish.

We're now several months into chasing them for a collection and refund. They usually just delete our emails without reading them (according to Outlook), when they respond they say they'll collect and never do.

Undelivered Product

We are writing this email with great utmost despair. We had visited Maison du Monde and had purchased some furniture's on 19.02.2022 . Upon enquiry regarding shipping, we came to know that the delivery costs were expensive. We then chose to pick it up ourselves and arranged for transport on 25.02.2022. The store person informed us that since the product (198156) were on discount, these will delivered from store itself and will not be new. We agreed to the same. We paid full price without discount on the second sofa (188308) and agreed to pickup the store display model since they could be then picked up on the same day. We additionally requested to have it removed as a display model so that it will not be damaged.

Our self arranged transport were onsite to pickup the sofa as arranged and the products were picked up. Only after inspecting yesterday (7.3.2022) after our move, we noticed that the discounted sofa (198156) was not delivered (please see attached bill) by the store on 25.03.2022. The second sofa (188308), which was picked up without discount were full of usage marks as well (please see attached pictures).

Now we're stuck with a dirty second sofa and undelivered sofa. We do not have the capacity at the moment to arrange for shipping again as this was supposed to be delivered on 25.03.2022.

We chose Maison du Monde for our purchase owing to elegance but we are at the moment rethinking our decision. Please advice how to proceed further.

They wash their hands when something is wrong

Ordered the bed for my kid. The bed came with a lot of problems (wood slightly battered, wrong bolt set, no holes drilled where the pegs should go, etc), it was just a disaster. Maison du Monde willingly takes money for items sold, but when it comes to taking responsibility for a product that cannot even be assembled (because it is poorly made), not to mention visual defects, that's another story ... Hopeless, unpleasant Castomer Service, no responsibility for sold (not cheap) products! Never again!

Does not even deserve the 1 star.
Went to the store for a new sofa. Were very friendly and helped us with choosing our sofa. Added two other smaller items (small trolley and foot rest). Delivery date was set for Januari 4th. Delivery was free because of the expensive purchase. The whole amount had to be paid immediatly otherwise they would not create the order. Should have known then and there something was off.
Delivery was postponed (email), no reason given.
Delivery was postponed again (email). We called and found out it was because they didn't have the foot rest in stock. Went to the store, found the foot rest, had it removed from the order and took it with us immediatly.
Delivery was then set for a wednesday, which we told is the only day that is absolutely impossible for us. Replied to the email didn't change anything. Had to call customer sevice and explain it was not possible, before another date for delivery was scheduled. Spoke to customer service twice and asked specifically if my old sofa would be taken on delivery of the new one. Both times the answer was 'YES'.
Sofa and trolley delivered February 15th. Old sofa not taken. Called customer service, they acknowledged it was their fault, but refused to offer any sollution. Even the delivery company (not Maison du Monde) tried to find a sollution by having their office call Maison du Monde for a pick up and destruction order but Maison du Monde flat out refused.
Assembly: at the store they told us it would be assembled for us. Well that didn't happen. Nuts, bolts, screws, ... all the wrong amounts. Assembly instructions for the sofa bad; for the trolley it was wrong. Managed to assemble it anyway. And they should see themselves the instructions are wrong because you can't complete the instructions with the pieces listed on that same instruction manual.
Damage to the wood, non- supporting structure, of the sofa on 2 different locations.
