The storage ottoman is a beautiful deep blue and feels very soft. It's perfect for hiding my extra blankets though the legs were a bit tricky to screw in straight at first

I love this store!
I love this store, particularly this MDM, it is well organized, it is a huge one with a lot of choice. Sellers are always kind and helpful. One of my favorite spots to shop :)
Products paid and not delivered
I placed an order on May 22nd. It was supposed to be delivered between June 3 and 12. It was not delivered. I called them on June 12, they said the package was with the delivery company. That if I didn’t hear from the delivery by June 14 I should call them again. I called them on June 14 and they say that I should wait another 72h, that if by then I didn’t hear from the delivery company they would start another shipment. I called after 72h they say I need to wait another 2 days to start another shipment. It’s been one month since I made the purchase. I do not have my products. They didn’t offer to refund my shipment costs, they didn’t offer a discount - absolutely 0 custom service. They simply lost my products and refuse to make a new shipment - always saying I should call them back. I currently spent more than 800 euros in products that I do not have a delivery date to. Total disrespect with customer. Do not recommend.

everything was good - only issue: the cashier could not find my name registered in your files although I have been a customer for years...
Bad customer service and even worse delivery
If there’s going to be a problem with your order, it’s going to be a huge headache to solve it. We had a delayed delivery of the sofa, and we had to go to the store about 3 times, and only after a week, we solved the issue, mainly because one of the store consultant was a good, responsible guy, who helped us a lot.

Delayed shipment & missing part
Bad customer service.
Sent many emails to get in contact with them, but never got an answer.
Called and they have not been helpful at all.
My package has been delayed more than 2 weeks and they haven't even offered to refund shipping costs.
Very disappointed!

This is the first company review I have ever written, but my experience with Maison du Monde was so terrible at every turn, that I feel it’s only right to warn others to NOT SHOP HERE! Order number: 13 56 80 38 2.
I thought my problem was a simple one. 16th July- I bought a lovely looking, very expensive sofa from one of the French stores. The staff were lovely, in fact they were the only nice people I interacted with from this company. I checked the 7-10 day delivery timeframe multiple times in the shop- as I needed the sofa to be delivered to my house before returning to England on the 3rd August . A few days later, I received an email saying that my delivery time would be on the 4th August (so 19 days after purchase). I’d like to mention that I have no problems with the delivery being late, as mistakes happen - as long as the company apologises and makes an effort to find a solution. I called the French team the next day, and had to call 7-10 times after that chasing answers. The team were rude, they put the phone down on me, they called me a liar at one point and never once apologised or tried to resolve my issue in any way. Of course, after a point I was no longer concerned about the delivery and just wanted a refund. Their response was that this was impossible and that they could only give store credit (useless to me in England with no near plans to return to France). I then tried my luck with the UK team, hoping that the language barrier had been the problem - they were slightly less rude but still thoroughly unhelpful. I called that team another 8-9 times during the period of a month and no progress was ever made. They just said they were escalating my case to try and get me a refund - which was almost certainly just a way to get me off the phone. I was promised multiple times by both sides of the company that I would get calls/emails with an update and not a single person ever got back to me. More frustratingly still, not one person apologised - in fact I was continually made to feel stressed, overwhelmed, and like the whole thing was my fault. I got a refund last week, after taking to social media - but I am 100% certain the only reason I got my money back is because of my own stubbornness and refusal to give up, and nothing to do with them doing their bit when they were in the wrong.

hi i ordered several weeks ago a mirror , it was meant to be delivered latest tomorrow and not heard from them; when I called they said they had no idea if/when it will be delivered, thid is very frustrating and so unprofessional.I certainly dont recommend them. i asled to speak with th emanager and they said it was not possible, netierh could I send a complaint email to try fix the issue, at least give some visibility!terrible

This is NOT true. i tried to call many times, emailed client service and even went in 3 shops to talk to a capable person and no one EVER called me back. The problem is not solved. So disapointing!

OMG. Why I did not believe other reviews?
OMG. Received my order after waiting 2 months. (I had really polite delivery guys, a plus point for them.)
After opening my packet I saw somebody was written on the white wrapping paper with a blue permanent marker. You only can imagine how my 300e white desk is looking like. No customer service available. I can't recomment this company for anyone.

UPATE! Sofa has been delivered - 15/09/2022
On ordering our sofa the delivery date was confirmed to be between 24th August - 1 September, it's now the 13th September and no true update on the delivery?? I've spoken to numerous customer service staff who gives me a lame excuse each time. Very unprofessional and very poor customer service !!
The sofa was delivered today 15/09/2022 and we're very pleased with it. The delivery service was excellent!

Don't use this company
I emailed (on behalf of my husband and I initially) back in May to complain about our faulty sink that was brought as part of a complete kitchen. The lining was coming off and it was unsightly. I did receive a reply after a few attempts and I sent the required evidence and further details. Since then I have emailed several times and received no response. My son phoned twice and then the company did communicate with my husband while continuing to ignore me!
Today we were offered a replacement or re embursement in tokens. We are demanding cash reembursement as the company do not stock another type of sink so we shall have to shop elsewhere for a replacement.
I am very angry at the dreadful way that I have been treated throughout this and the way the company appear to be incapable of dealing with complaints in a fair and just manner.

Poor delivery service!
It is a huge shame that the product is nice and well priced but the customer service when it comes to delivery is beyond poor!! I waited for one small dinning chair for 8 weeks and when I confirmed the delivery day and time window they never showed up which was for 8-13h instead they told me maybe at 16h!!! Excuse after excuses that is POOR client service!!

No form of contact, company breeches EU law
This company is an absolute shame of an online retailer. They do not offer any form of contact. My order 118013867 has never been delivered, it was returned to the sender. My cancelation/return request has been confirmed but I never received back my money and it's been three weeks now. I think I will never see my money again because the company denies all contact

Impossible to return items purchased online and also purchased a set of 3 bamboo bar stools at a cost of over 600 euros and absolute garbage. Every stool has snapped. Trying to arrange a return and being trying for months

J'ai commandé une table en ciment et y ai mis un petit brasero dessus. La table en ciment qui est donc censé résister à cela s'est fissuré. J'ai tout tenté avec le service client au Portugal puis en France. Ils me baladent et ne répondent jamais pour ne pas prendre leur responsabilités sur une table à plus de 600 EUR.
Ne commandez pas, vous le regretterez comme moi.

I ordered a cement table and put a small brazier on it. The cement table which is therefore supposed to resist this has cracked. I tried everything with customer service in Portugal and then in France. They are not responding or are playing me around in order not to take their responsibilities on a table over 600 EUR.
Don't order, you will regret it like me.

Shipping and customer service are terrible
Ordered 5 articles on the website, all listed as 'available in stock'. They were shipped by 5 different companies. Two weeks after my order, and multiple calls to Maison du monde, emails to the manufacturers, calls to the delivery companies, I'm still waiting for one item that hasn't been delivered.
The customer service is quite bad as you need to contact the manufacturer of the item yourself, and in many cases the shipping company too. Overall the online shopping platform is a waste of time, you better shop elsewhere.
