Avoid!

Another company jumping on the AI bandwagon I would avoid. It needs alot of refinement. Given two stars because it is a good concept, but just doesn't work.

You have to enter personal details, upload personal photos to generate the ebook. However you cannot review even a vague copy of what the ebook would look like before spending £7 to view it.

Once the ebook generated there are many continuity errors. For example, my book contained a train, in almost every page the train featured, it was a different train with different colours, characters were wearing different clothes, it was a mess.

Using the AI to try and correct this discrepancies is painful! You enter you prompts and at times it ignores them and just changes something randomly. Then once you get what you want and you move onto the next page and enter the same prompt to get the same result - you get something completely different! The AI needs alot of refinement.

Ive given up now, I simply don't have the time to sit and edit the book that is meant to be done and put together for you. Would genuinely would be easier and quicker to write my own book.

In addition the story telling is not perfect, also needs editing for it to make sense.

Worst of all you cant even request a refund. I would avoid if you want the perfect product, however if you looking for something quick without putting in the effort and alot of continuity errors then this is for you.

Terrible

I was really excited to create a magical children’s story featuring my family and pets, especially after uploading personal photographs and detailed prompts. Unfortunately, the final result was deeply disappointing.

The biggest issue is that you are automatically given a DIGITAL book first, with no proper opportunity to review or approve the quality before purchase decisions are locked in. Only afterwards are print options offered. On top of that, digital books are apparently non-refundable, which feels extremely unfair considering the quality issues.
While the general storyline itself was acceptable, the actual execution was chaotic and careless. The book repeatedly included strange AI-style phrasing and even left bracketed image instructions inside the story text itself things that should never appear in a finished children’s book. It completely broke the immersion and looked unedited.
Even worse, random extra characters kept appearing throughout the illustrations. I repeatedly had to ask for people to be removed from scenes where they were never supposed to appear in the first place. Faces changed, characters were added without permission, and the whole thing felt like an AI-generated jumble rather than a carefully crafted personalised story.
Yes, there is an option to re-edit the book afterwards, but the process becomes incredibly time-consuming and frustrating very quickly. I found myself having to re-prompt the system three or four times just to get basic corrections made to the illustrations and characters. After a while, it honestly became exhausting, and I eventually gave up because it felt like a complete waste of time.
What’s most disappointing is that I’ve genuinely had better and more accurate illustration prompts generated through ChatGPT than what this service delivered as a paid product. The advertising suggests something magical and professionally made, but the reality felt rushed, heavily AI-generated, and poorly quality-checked.
I’m also highly suspicious of the glowing reviews because my experience was nowhere near what’s being advertised. Customers deserve honesty, proper editing, and the ability to refuse or refund poor-quality digital products.
At the moment, I cannot recommend this service.

Check and Check again!

While the book is of a lovely quality and you are given time to check before it goes to print I would advise you scrutinise the pictures, unfortunately I did a quick look through and sadly on on picture my granddaughter has an extra hand and the cartoon images of me her grandfather look like diffrent ages on some pages, basically a totally different person.
Bit disappointing but like I say you are given the chance to review.

Emilia saves the forest

I had this book created for my niece who is 7 and has autism. The story of Emilia and Rose Light is every little girl’s dream. The likeness to my niece is really magical along with the story itself. The book arrived in superb condition and delivered before expected date. I can’t wait to give it to Emilia she’s going to love being star of her own book. I will be ordering chapter 2 in the future.

Fantastically simple to make!

I’m a 62 year old lady and I no longer have a laptop or iPad so all is done on my phone. This was made so simple!! I’m delighted with my book! I can’t provide a photo because it’s for my Great Grandsons birthday on April 23rd! 100/100! Excellent quality and eejit proof too!

Beautiful book

Absolutely delighted with this book. It was a little expensive but feel it was worth it. Very easy to use site and upload information required together with photos.

My granddaughter’s face lights up when she sees her picture with her dog on each of the pages. Beautiful colours and the story created was nice too.

Well what a shame

Well what a shame. Everything was going well until delivery. It appears I am not alone. I even shared the Company via my socials as I was so impressed. I ordered two books on 24 Nov separate orders. Sent two emails when they did not arrive. First response was generic fob off. Second response was much apologies and we will reprint for you. I have received only one book. So now to decide as it's Xmas eve 7 pm, do I gift the book to my grandson or my nephew. Please don't suggest I contact you directly, I assure you I will be doing so requesting a full refund. I suggest you think ahead for 2026 and adjust the expected delivery time to something more realistic. Very disappointed 😞

Reply from Magical Children's Book

Dear Gill,

I am incredibly sorry to hear about this situation. It is truly heartbreaking to read that you are facing a choice between gifting your grandson or your nephew on Christmas Eve. This is absolutely not the experience we wanted to create for you, especially after you placed your orders so well in advance.

We sincerely apologize for the failed delivery and for the fact that our previous communication felt generic and dismissive. We clearly missed the mark, and we are going to do our absolute best to improve our service and ensure our delivery estimates are realistic, just as you suggested.

We understand your disappointment and your decision to request a full refund. We will be looking out for your direct contact to resolve this immediately for you.

Once again, our deepest apologies for letdown during this holiday season.

Kind regards,

Magical Children's Book
