Very good quality food. We had the Scottish box. My husband who is from Glasgow loved it, all his Christmases came at once. Well packaged and delivered on time. Will definitely shop here again.

Just received the Scottish Hamper & the Highland Hamper from Macdonald & Sons and even though I’ve not tried all the food yet I’ve got to say I’m very impressed. I wasn’t expecting much for the price however once I opened the parcel I was pleasantly surprised. I live in England now but the Scotch Pies and the Tablet transported me back to Fife.
Loved the personal “enjoy Dean” handwritten touch on the box. It made me smile.
I’m pretty sure I’ll be making repeat orders in the near future.

Very impressed with MacDonald & Sons Butchers, ordered a box of goodies for Valentines present for husband and it was delicious and arrived when we asked it to be. We have ordered again and the quality of the pies is 1st class - thank you

Simply the best steak pies anywhere. Plenty of gravy, tender junks of steak and nice flaky pastry. I would not hesitate to recommend.

Easy ordering. Delivery on precise day required. Food was exceptional quality. Perfect for our Burns Night celebrations.

Being a scot but living down in South Devon, I've missed our Scottish delicacies. I was not disappointed with my first order, I'd forgotten what a butchers haggis tasted like, amazing and the scotch pies were delicious, amongst other items in my order. Will definitely be placing another order, was packed very well and freezer packs still cold.

Well I was furious DPD left my order outside absolutely shocking 😡
Also I was ordering large sausages and I got tiny ones which were ridiculously overpriced also the mince round pastry all broken round the edge to be honest don't think they are value for money and delivery is extortionate for a very poor delivery service

I made my first order and excitedly awaited delivery. Everything was packaged really well and was still chilled when it arrived. The products were so delicious, and the craved for scotch pies were amazing, very fresh and absolutely perfect! The service and correspondence was great and I have ordered again already.

Awful Customer Service. My first order never arrived and they didn’t contact me to let me know why, when I rang them, they blamed it all on DPD. They said they would send my order again, when they did with some free shortbread as a gesture of goodwill - second order arrived but no shortbread - abysmal Customer Service

Ordering was spot on from start to delivery. Comms from butchers and dpd utter brilliant. The ice bags in my shipment were rock solid so the quality of the food was perfect. We have ordered before and all the food we receive is perfect and (cough cough to another review) meets all health standards. We shall be back shortly with another order. By the way the mince rounds are out of this world.

This company consistently struggles to package meat in a way that ensures it reaches you at the right temperature. I've received shipments from other butchers that took longer to arrive, yet the ice packs remained frozen and the meat was cold. Unfortunately, that's not the case here. I've contacted them directly and received replacement orders, but although some meat arrives acceptably cold, none have fully met health standards. After feeding my dogs the best sirloin steak once again, I've decided not to order again. Using well-insulated, sealed bags might solve this issue. The gentleman on the phone was very pleasant, but the packing team needs improvement. If not for the person I spoke with, this would be a 1-star review. Apologies.

I sent a Scottish box & a couple of other things to my mum she is delighted with everything in fact she had tears of joy when she saw the things she would have eaten when she was a child in Scotland. Expertly packed a first class job thank you so much

I ordered 8 different types of meat pies. Every one was too salty. Quick delivery from DPD local, although all the ice packs had melted. Such a shame about the salt content. I won't be ordering more.

I have to agree with Karen Robinson, cooking instructions should be included with your order: for ovens, for airfryers, from chilled, from frozen.

2nd box I've had from them, always great quality, well packed and timely delivered. My only criticism, add some cooking instructions. Even a fairly seasoned cook like me, has no idea what to do with Beef Olives........and this time I have steak pies, that looked they've been precooked, so how long do I cook them for??

I placed my first order with mcdonald and sons. Amazing meat and the produce was excellent. Packaged extremely well. Delivery was quick and got to be safely.
