Especially when a customer purchases a travel prepaid plan, it is only for a short term during the visit to the Netherlands and shouldn't be auto-renewed when the customer returns to their country. It took me 10 days to let the team know about the issue, and please make it smoother. Please dont enable auto reenewal for pay as you go plans and win the customers

The worst sim operator in The Netherlands, am not recommend

Reply from Lyca Mobile NL
I have no words to describe their unprofessionalism. I spent the entire day waiting on the phone, first with one operator and then, after an hour of waiting, with another. I kept doing this all day just to have my old email address changed to a new one so I could access my Lyca account again and pay my bills.
After one operator told me that the email had been changed and that I needed to wait one hour before logging in, I did exactly that—I waited—but nothing changed. I still cannot receive the OTP code because, clearly, I was misled and the email was never updated.
What incompetence. I truly have no words. Who do you hire to assist your customers? These operators are completely useless and provide no help at all.

I bought esim and never used it because I wasn't able to activate it. After 6 months Cannock reached out to me with demand to pay 60 euro for 2 years contract with Lyca (which I obviously never signed for). I tried to close esim that I even haven't activated with them via support, but they were always tried to authorize me with sms on that number (that was never activated, again). So I wasn't be able to close the account and asked Cannock to provide a contract. They said that contract was provided to email address that were used for esim registration. If this is not my email address, why they are reaching out to my email address? Every month they send another email saying that I must pay more and more money to them

I signed a contract in December, but I cancelled it after one day. Since then, I have been receiving an email every month asking for payment.
I have sent many emails, but nobody has replied to me 😫
This is the worst company. I would never recommend buying this SIM card.
Please fix this issue as soon as possible.

I am, with my family, an active customer. My 16-year-old daughter was stranded for 2 hours in a rural area because of zero network coverage. More importantly, Lyca has a systemic bug where calling any 0113 (Goes) area code number redirects to the Suicide Prevention Hotline (113). This prevented my child from reaching help. Lyca's customer service has been negligent and offers only scripts. This is a violation of the Dutch Telecommunications Act.

Information provided to their team. Waiting for a technical fix for the 0113 routing bug. Safety is still at risk.

FEELS LIKE FRAUD!!!
Horrible experience
I have tried to cancel my "1 month" subscription since January. Got an email response 1 month later. Answered and then did not get a response back.
Tried via phone, but just spent 30 minutes waiting in the line and then got hung up on.
They are still charging my every month though!!!!

I had a one-year contract with Lyca Mobile NL. In January 2026, they sent me an SMS with a payment link that didn't work. They sent a second one also broken. Because I couldn't pay through their own system, they cancelled my service.
I tried to reach them through every channel available: phone, email, their platform. I even sent an email warning them I would take action if they didn't respond. No one has ever replied. Their phone line puts you on hold for 20+ minutes and nobody picks up.
Meanwhile, they keep sending me payment demands and are now threatening incasso for a debt that exists only because their own payment system failed. To make things worse, when I switched to a new provider, I couldn't port my old number because Lyca requires me to cancel the service first, but how do you cancel with a company that refuses to communicate?
They are very good at billing. They are very bad at everything else.

Lyca mobile
I changed my bank account and Lyca did not automatic change the account number.
At the time I was in holiday, and by the time that I got back my number was blocked.
Lyca has a way to make the payments, but you need your phone number.
So I had not way of paying or to reach them to get some customer service.
So because Lyca does not have a normal way to pay I’m now couch up in a case over a cheap lycra mobile number.
I’m not sure how to reach them or how to pay the bills, but I’m sure that I will never get their service again as long as I live.

In years they improve they service. If I have to compare the quality 4 years ago and now- it's 180°
I had issue with my sim card, I need to swap it and all operators was friendly and with willing to help me.
The most amazing was Nicole
She was a frendly and after my explanation that we have a bit different english she start to adopt to my English...
In the end we swap my sim without the frustration and we finish our conversation on positive wibe

They don't respect the law.
They keep sending you spam emails, without option to unsubscribe.
Even 6 months after I already sent them several emails to stop bothering me with spam emails, they are still sending me spam emails.
Amateuristic and irresponsible.
Edit: They are apparently more quick to respond when called out publicly for their illegal behavior than they are to respond on email messages. Horrible mentality. If I receive ONE more spam email, I will take legal action, because they are obligated by EU law to have a functioning 'unsubscribe' button in every email, which they do NOT have!!!
Edit 2: As still nothing has changed, I have started the legal procedure against Lyca Mobile NL.

Non functional customer portal. Every action gives you an error.
Good luck being able to reach their customer support
Once you leave they keep spamming you with automatic emails that you owe them "0" eur. Good luck asking them to stop as there's no way of reaching their support

It’s ok, used to be better.. but I guess they have customers now so no more big deals like they used to have, also sometimes there’s really bad connection,

Marizabel she's a super helpful person, very approachable and kind. She helped me solve my problems with a bad purchase.

One star is still too much. For over a month I’m trying to understand why Lyca is sending me payment reminders as I don’t have any running subscription. They don’t reply to the emails and on the phone they are switching me to non existent team that never picks up. Stay away, the cost of resolving issues with their incompetent customer support is much higher than paying a bit more with more reliable provider.
Another month, another invoice for non existent service - simple scam! After initial message no follow up - Lyca’s classic customer support. The absolute worse you can encounter.

Reply from Lyca Mobile NL
Marizabel was a great help. She understood the complexity of the request and provided swift resolution, where others had failed. Really appreciate the time she put and for resolving the issue.
